Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between worry and self-confidence of blind individuals at Yayasan Rumah Hebat Karanganyar. This study is a quantitative correlational study. The subjects of this study were 30 blind individuals who are members of Yayasan Rumah Hebat Fatonah aged 16-42 years. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with saturated sampling. The data collection technique in this study used two Likert scale instruments consisting of worry and self-confidence questionnaires. The questionnaire used to measure the level of worry of blind individuals was the Worry Domain Questionnaire (WDQ) formulated by Tallis (1992) with significant validity test results (p p (0.05), then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. So that the worry variable with the self-confidence variable has a very low correlation or is not correlated. Based on the results of the analysis test, there is no relationship between worry and self-confidence of blind individuals at the Rumah Hebat Fatonah Karanganyar Foundation.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of learning media to construct sentences for deaf students. So the purpose of the research is to develop learning media in the form of the Lakas Application (structured sentence exercises). This study uses a research and development approach method with the ADDIE design. Due to time constraints, researchers carried out the level one research stage consisting of three research steps, namely the analysis-design-development stage. The subjects of this research and development trial were related experts such as deaf student experts, deaf student tool experts and deaf student learning experts. As well as a practicality test by an educator and 2 deaf students. Data collection tools in the form of a questionnaire for the validity instrument of the Lakas Application product and an instrument for assessing the response of the Lakas Application product. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive data analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that the Adobe Flash-based Lakas Application learning media is useful and worthy of being used as a learning medium in the skill of constructing SPOK structured sentences with a validation value of 96% and a practicality test of 89%. The final form of this product is a learning media packaged in the form of an android application so that it can be opened anywhere and anytime via an android smartphone.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to improve the learning outcomes of dynamic addition math using bead media for students with hearing impairments in class VI SLB Negeri 5 Jakarta. The study used an action research method. Data collection uses quantitative data from test results, while qualitative data is collected by observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were 4 students with hearing impairments. The research was carried out in 2 cycles, in cycle I 75% of students were able to reach / exceed the passing grade and achieve learning objectives while in cycle II 100% of students were able to exceed the KKM value and achieve learning objectives. The results showed that bead media was able to improve students' learning outcomes because it had a role as a bridge of information from teachers to students when planting the concept of dynamic addition material.

This study used an experimental approach in the form of pre-post experimental design one group pre test-post test design. The subjects in this study were all deaf students totaling 6 students. This study uses a sampling technique that is non-probability sampling. The technique used in data collection is a written test in the form of multiple choice objective tests. Data analysis technique used is non-parametric statistics with Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. The results of descriptive analysis obtained the average value of the post test is greater than the pre-test value, namely 57.80 to 88.33. Furthermore, the results of the analysis of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test showed that the Zhitung value was -2.214 and the Asymp- Sig (2-tailed) was 0.027 with a significance level (α) of 0.05 or 5%. It can be concluded that Asymp-Sig (2-tailed) is smaller than the significance level or 0.027

Abstract

This study is a literature review of peer-based interventions in improving social interaction in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Using a literature review approach, we searched for relevant literature to identify the effect of peer-based interventions in overcoming difficulties in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their social interactions. The literature search was conducted through credible search engines such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and others. The search includes keywords such as "autism spectrum disorder" "peer mediated intervention" "social skill" "interaction skill" and other variations with a period of 2019-2023. The results of this study indicate that peer-based interventions can improve social engagement in children with ASD. Factors such as similar interests, support and positive feedback from peer coaches, and adult monitoring play a role in the success of the intervention. Although there is variation between studies, these findings provide a strong basis for understanding the important role of interest-based interventions in supporting the development of social interactions in children with ASD. Practical implications include the need for individualized approaches and integration of interest-based interventions into special education programs. This study also identifies knowledge gaps and recommends future research directions to continue to enrich our understanding of effective intervention strategies to improve social interaction skills in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Abstract

Experienced limitations in visual function and low vision This results in limitations in the level and diversity of visual experience. Information is obtained comprehensively through the sense of sight, therefore vision is hampered by students' low vision creating a need for learning in students' low vision in terms of educational accessibility. One of the efforts is to provide learning media that adapts to children's needs and vision. This research will develop learning mediaSCARLIGHT(Stand Which. equipped with a camera, magnifier, and lights that will be connected to a PC (Personal Computer) so that it can make it easier for teachers to teach children with low vision. The method used in this research is research and Development with ADDIE type (Analysis, design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research location is SLB A Negeri 3 Martapura. Data collection techniques using tests, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were 6 students with low vision. Results of research into the development of SCARLIGHT Media (Stand Camera Magnifier Light) which is a shaped Stand Camera whose height can be measured according to the student's reading distance requirements vision, and the camera can be adjusted for magnification and focus and is equipped with a light that can be adjusted from dim to bright. The response results from 6 low vision students using SCARLIGHT Media stated that it helped them see objects, helped them read, see colors, and helped them display information or images in their entirety (graphs, tables, maps).

Abstract

This study aims to produce a product in the form of adaptive media based on the maze marbles game which will be used as a means of increasing student Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This research method uses the Research and Development method approach or is referred to as an innovative work research method with a research design for the development of maze marbles media using the 4D development model by Thiagarajan. The results of this study indicate that the development of adaptive media based on the maze marbles game has gone through the stages of the development process and product feasibility trials get an overall average value from the recapitulation of experts with an assessment score of 107 with a percentage of 82.30% and included in the very good category. It can be concluded that the development of adaptive media based on the maze marbles game is urgently needed as a means of supporting media and learning media, especially for students with indications of ADHD. However, the validity of increasing the ability of students needs to be carried out in stages and carried out repeatedly so that the expected ability development can be seen.
