Abstract

Abstract: This study aims at producing a set of contextual-learning based training package for teachers of inclusive school to teach hearing impaired students. Background of the development’s training package are not available the training about hearing impairment’s instructional yet, and needs of teacher with the absence of particular instructional competency for hearing impaired students in an inclusive school. Borg and Gall’s Research and Development methods were employed in this study followed with an Instructional Development Model (MPI) to develop the package.This study results in the production of a set of contextual-learning-based training package for teachers to teach hearing impaired students, it includes the design of training, user’s guide for instructure and participant, 4 modules accompanied with a soft-copy (CD) of training materials that have been tested the effectivity, efficiency, and feasibility. The research resulting some of implication and recommendation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan satu set paket pelatihan berbasis pembelajaran kontekstual bagi guru sekolah inklusif untuk mengajar siswa yang terganggu pendengarannya. Latar belakang dari paket pelatihan pengembangan ini tidak tersedia pelatihan tentang gangguan pendengaran ini instruksional belum, dan kebutuhan guru dengan tidak adanya kompetensi pembelajaran tertentu untuk mendengar siswa terganggu pada sekolah inklusif. Borg dan Gall Penelitian dan Pengembangan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diikuti dengan Pengembangan Model Instruksional (MPI) untuk mengembangkan hasil penelitian package.This dalam produksi satu set paket pelatihan berbasis kontekstual-learning bagi guru untuk mengajar siswa terganggu mendengar , itu termasuk desain pelatihan, buku petunjuk untuk instruktur dan peserta, 4 modul disertai dengan soft-copy (CD) dari materi pelatihan yang telah diuji efektivitas, efisiensi, dan kelayakan. Penelitian dihasilkan beberapa implikasi dan rekomendasi.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges faced by teachers and the efforts made in the implementation of HOTS-based history learning. In this study, a qualitative method was used by taking research at the Lab School in Kebayoran Jakarta. The analysis was carried using Strauss & Corbin grounded theory approach. The results illustrate three interrelated things, namely the concept of HOTS used, implementation, and challenges faced by history teachers. This study shows that the difficulty faced by history teachers in teaching and learning history based on HOTS is that assessment has been carried out using the HOTS model. On the other hand, training in learning that supports HOTS has not been provided to teachers, many curriculum demands, teacher competencies/skills, lack of time in the learning process, and the learning design made by the teacher does not yet support HOTS. The efforts to answer these challenge can be overcome by (1) increasing teacher understanding/mastery of HOTS concepts, (2) the planning of learning devices arranged to suit the needs of students, and (3) during the implementation of learning using models that support HOTS namely inquiry learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi guru dan upaya yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran sejarah berbasis HOTS. Dalam penelitian ini, metode kualitatif digunakan dengan mengambil penelitian di SMA Lab School Kebayoran Jakarta. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan teori ground Strauss & Corbin. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan tiga hal yang saling terkait, yaitu konsep HOTS yang digunakan, implementasi, dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru sejarah. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh guru sejarah dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran sejarah berdasarkan HOTS adalah penilaian telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan model HOTS. Di sisi lain, pelatihan dalam pembelajaran yang mendukung HOTS belum diberikan kepada guru, banyak tuntutan kurikulum, kompetensi / keterampilan guru, kurangnya waktu dalam proses pembelajaran, dan desain pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru belum mendukung HOTS. Upaya menjawab tantangan ini dapat diatasi dengan (1) peningkatan pemahaman guru / penguasaan konsep HOTS, (2) perencanaan perangkat pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa, dan (3) selama pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan model yang mendukung HOTS yaitu pembelajaran inkuiri.

Abstract

Information literacy has became a central issue of modern society. The rapid growth of information technology (IL) and the emergence of new digital devices not only require changes in the concept of IL itself, but also in practice. This paper discusses findings of study of design and development research with the goal of study was to develop the development of blended model of information literacy instruction (ILI) for higher education library instruction. Data were collected through a checklist, pretest, posttest, and attitude questionnaire throughout a series of formative evaluation stages. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result showed that the A6S (analyze, select, search, sort, synthesize, share, and self-evaluation) information model effective to enhance students’ IL. offered recommendation regarding implementation in library instructions

Abstract

The focus of this study is the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by hypermedia-based e-books on the results of integral calculus learning. The objectives of the study are (1) to describe the students’ learning outcomes of integral calculus which are taught through problem-based learning model with the help of a hypermedia-based e-book, and (2) to find out the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model with the help of a Hypermedia-Based e-book on integral calculus learning outcomes. This research employed an experiment with a posttest only control design. The study population was all students from the Department of Mathematics Education, Halu Oleo University in the 2017-2018 academic year. The study sample consisted of 60 students distributed equally in two classes namely the experimental class (30) and the control class (30). The Problem Based Learning model with the help of a hypermedia-based e-book was applied in the experimental class while the traditional learning model with the help of printed teaching materials was applied in the control class. The PBL learning model steps consist of (1) presenting contextual problems, (2) forming cooperative groups, (3) analyzing problems cooperatively, (4) presenting the results of group discussions, (5) reflections. Data were collected using the test of integral calculus learning. Then the data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The descriptive analysis included the mean value, variance, and standard deviation, while the inferential analysis included the data normality test, the data homogeneity test, and the average difference test. The results showed that the students' integral calculus learning outcomes taught with Problem Based Learning model was categorized well, and the PBL learning model effectively improved the integral calculus learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aimed of this study was to develop blended learning for Chassis Maintenance and Light Vehicle Power Transfer subject for second-grade students of light vehicle engineering major at Dewantara vocational school which is expected to help students and teacher in the learning process as a learning strategy to overcome the problem of lack of face-to-face time in class. The procedure for developing blended learning used the ADDIE model which is integrated with PEDATI at the instructional design stage. Data collection techniques are done by observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis. Based on the results of the feasibility analysis from the material expert, the percentage of achievement level is 91.67% with a very good qualifications and appropriate to be used with revisions as needed, based on the results of the feasibility analysis from media expert, the percentage of achievement level is 80% with a good qualifications, and feasible to be used with revisions as needed, and based on the results of the feasibility analysis from the instructional design expert the percentage of achievement level is 96.47% with a very good qualifications, and feasible to use without any revisions. The development of blended learning will be very effective for the achievement of learning objectives optimally and efficiency in the use of learning time in class. This result implies that the blended learning is feasible to facilitate learning especially in limited learning time at school.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain information about the needs of developing reproductive health animation media to prevent sexual harassment and deviation in deaf students. The research was conducted at 14 school of special in Jakarta and West-Java Province with quantitative method.  Data was taken from 105 teachers through a questionnaire and analyzed using Huberman and Miles models and the process including data reduction, data display, and verification. The results of this research obtain communication barriers which are the main cause of the ineffectiveness of sex education in deaf students can be overcome by developing reproductive health media for deaf students. So, it can be concluded that learning of reproductive health for deaf students provide a good understanding of sex education in reproductive health.

Abstract

Traffic safety training whose material needed a concrete visualization aspect. To accommodate this, teaching materials were needed to support the learning process. This study aims to describe the results of needs analysis which is the first step of the Research & Development process conducted with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are done by conducting research through documentation, observation, and interviews. The results of the needs analysis have been found several problems, that is the heterogeneous characteristics from training participants, limited experience of training participants, limited training time, lack of teaching materials, and training implementation locations throughout Indonesia. Hyper content-based printing modules are a great alternative because they can bring related factual aspects of traffic safety to training participants. In the next research, it is expected to develop a hyper content-based traffic safety training module.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan keadaan emosi para guru umum di mana di kelas mereka terdapat anak berkebutuhan khusus selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan menggunakan anket terbuka tertutup dan dalam artikel ini yang dilaporkan hanya bagian angket terbuka. Ada 3 pertanyaan terbuka dalam angket tersebut yang terdiri dari 2 pertanyaan yang berhubungan dengan emosi dan 1 pertanyaan berhubungan dengan efikasi diri. Data yang diperoleh melalui pertanyaan terbuka tersebut kemudian dianalisis menurut saran dari Auerbach and Silverstein. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para guru memunculkan emosi yang bervariasi baik pada saat pertama kali mengetahui kalau di kelas mereka ada murid berkebutuhan khusus maupun saat pertama kali mengajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa emosi positif para partisipan perlu selalu dijaga agar mereka bisa membelajarkan murid berkebutuhan khusus secara lebih baik.  AbstractThis study aims to describe the emotional state of general teachers where there are children with special needs in their class during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a survey research using an open ended questionnaire which in this article only the open questionnaire is reported. There were 3 open questions consisting of 2 questions related to emotions and 1 question related to self-efficacy. The data obtained through open questions were then analyzed according to suggestions from Auerbach and Silverstein. The results showed that the teachers generated varied emotions both when they first found out that there were students in their class with special needs and when they first taught them. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the positive emotions of the participants need to be maintained so that they can better teach students with special needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of teachers to apply historical literacy to history learning in high school and the obstacles faced by teachers in the application of historical literacy. This research is a qualitative research with problem analysis using a case study type of multi-case analysis carried out during Distance Learning (PJJ) during the COVID-19 pandemic at Labschool Jakarta High School and Public High School 30 Jakarta in 2020. Data collection was conducted using in-depth interviews, document studies, and field notes. Analysis and interpretation of the data show that (1) history learning during the distance learning period at SMA Labschool Jakarta and SMA Negeri 30 Jakarta is still running conducive, but this condition also affects teacher and student interactions to be more limited in learning; (2) The teacher has been able to apply historical literacy in history learning in accordance with a summary of the main aspects of the concept of historical literacy; (3) The obstacles faced by teachers in applying historical literacy are mainly to teachers' conceptual understanding of historical literacy which is still at the stage of traditional understanding of reading and writing, low levels of student literacy, and becomes increasingly complex when implementing PJJ, teachers have difficulty bringing innovations in application of historical literacy due to limited interaction space and duration of teaching time and presenting historical literacy as an effort to foster critical thinking skills.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan literasi sejarah pada pembelajaran sejarah di SMA dan kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam penerapan literasi sejarah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis masalah menggunakan jenis studi kasus analisis multi kasus yang dilakukan pada Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) pada masa pandemi COVID-19 di SMA Labschool Jakarta dan SMA Negeri 30 Jakarta tahun 2020. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, studi dokumen, dan catatan lapangan. Analisis dan interpretasi data menunjukkan bahwa (1) pembelajaran sejarah pada masa pembelajaran jarak jauh di SMA Labschool Jakarta dan SMA Negeri 30 Jakarta masih berjalan kondusif, namun kondisi ini juga mempengaruhi interaksi guru dan siswa menjadi lebih terbatas dalam pembelajaran; (2) Guru telah mampu menerapkan literasi sejarah dalam pembelajaran sejarah sesuai dengan rangkuman aspek-aspek pokok konsep literasi sejarah; (3) Kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam menerapkan literasi sejarah terutama pada pemahaman konseptual guru tentang literasi sejarah yang masih pada tahap pemahaman tradisional membaca dan menulis, rendahnya tingkat literasi siswa, dan menjadi semakin kompleks pada saat pelaksanaan PJJ, guru kesulitan menghadirkan inovasi dalam penerapan literasi sejarah karena terbatasnya ruang interaksi dan durasi waktu pengajaran serta menghadirkan literasi sejarah sebagai upaya menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis.Cite this article: Kurniawati, WInarsih, M., Rahman, A.
