Abstract

This research aims to identify the base and non base sub-sectors of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, as well as to understand the dynamics of the sub-sectors' movement in the last 9 years (2013-2022) in Mojokerto Regency. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of Mojokerto Regency's and East Java's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data for 2013-2022. The analysis model used is the Static Location Quotient (SLQ) and Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ). The SLQ analysis results show that the sub-sectors that become the base sectors are forestry and wood logging sub-sectors, livestock sub-sectors, and food crop sub-sectors. Meanwhile, the non-base sub-sectors include horticulture sub-sectors, plantation sub-sectors, agricultural and hunting services sub-sectors, and fisheries sub-sectors. On the other hand, the SLQ analysis results combined with DLQ show that the food crop sub-sector is a superior sub-sector, plantation sub-sectors and agricultural and hunting services sub-sectors are prospective, livestock sub-sectors and forestry and wood logging sub-sectors are reliable, and horticulture sub-sectors and fisheries sub-sectors are lagging sub-sectors.

Abstract

Plant-based meat is a vegetable process made with the texture, taste, and nutrition as similar to meat as possible. The plant-based meat focus in this study was focusing on the Meatless Kingdom brand. This study aims to analyze the influence of brand equity consisting of brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, and brand loyalty as well as a healthy lifestyle on the decision to purchase plant-based meat products from Meatless Kingdom. This study was conducted from October 2024 to January 2025. The determination of the sample is purposively sampling, which is for consumers who have purchased the product at least once and are at least 17 years old. The number of samples was determined by Lemeshow's formula, which was 96 respondents. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires distributed online and secondary data were obtained from journal literature and books. This study used a case study method using a quantitative approach. Instrument tests were conducted on 32 respondents with a validity and reliability test. A normality test and a classical assumption test were conducted to test the regression model used. Analysis of data to determine the effect using multiple linear regression analysis which includes the coefficient of determination test, F test, and t test. The results of the study found that brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, brand loyalty, and healthy lifestyle influenced the decision to purchase plant-based meat products from Meatless Kingdom both simultaneously and partially.

Abstract

The unavailability of sufficient land for the community to carry out various agricultural activities makes the community experience socio-economic problems that continue to occur.  The lack of implementation of existing social empowerment from a company makes people feel that there is a lack of company commitment to providing social activities to the community. The non-implementation of social empowerment or CSR makes people not have a good relationship with companies which makes social conflict problems always occur.  This study aims to determine the extent of CSR implementation or social empowerment that exists and the relationship between social empowerment and conflicts that occur between communities and companies.  This study used descriptive analysis, with informants of as many as 18 people from parties within the company and community as well as related stakeholders. The study was conducted from March to July 2023. The results showed that the company did not implement social empowerment in the community properly.  The company's empowerment programs are no longer running back.  Companies can currently only carry out activities in the form of assistance or social compensation, even if the activities are at certain times.  The implementation of empowerment that is not well carried out is what makes social conflict factors arise in the community and company.

Abstract

PT. Berkah Melano Indonesia operates in the buying and selling of ornamental plants, particularly philodendron plants, which are frequently repurchased. This study aims to analyze consumer loyalty levels and the impact of the 7P marketing mix on consumer loyalty in purchasing philodendron ornamental plants at PT. Berkah Melano Indonesia. The research was conducted at PT. Berkah Melano Indonesia, located in Cigugur Girang, Bandung. The study employed a case study method, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using quota sampling. The data analysis method used the consumer loyalty pyramid, which consists of switcher buyers, habitual buyers, satisfied buyers, liking the brand, and committed buyers, along with multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate a high level of consumer loyalty, with 83.5% committed buyers, 83% liking the brand, 94% satisfied buyers, 76% habitual buyers, and 46% switcher buyers. The variables of product, price, place, people, and income partially influence consumer loyalty in purchasing philodendron ornamental plants at PT. Berkah Melano Indonesia. However, process and physical evidence do not have a partial impact on consumer loyalty in purchasing philodendron ornamental plants at the company. A recommendation for future research is to further examine the influence of process and physical evidence to determine whether these two variables consistently do not affect consumer loyalty. Additionally, the company should continue to maintain product quality, affordable pricing, easy platform access, enhanced promotions, and employee responsiveness in assisting consumers.

Abstract

The chili supply chain is a complex system that involves various stages from production at the farm level to distribution and consumption by the community. This process includes a series of interrelated activities, such as planting, harvesting, packaging, transportation, storage, and selling in traditional and modern markets. This study aims to analyze the supply chain (product flow, financial flow, and information flow) of red chili in Cikajang SubDistrict, Garut District. This research uses qualitative design. Data analysis used in the supply chain is qualitative descriptive. The results showed that the supply chain structure involves farmers, collectors and distributors. The flow of products goes from farmers to collectors and then to distributors, supported by cash or delayed payment mechanisms that are influenced by quality, quantity, and market conditions. The flow of information takes place directly between actors, although informal communication is still dominant. The main challenges faced are price fluctuations, delayed payments, and lack of transparency in information and financial flows. Integration and strengthening of supply chain management is needed to improve the efficiency, transparency, and competitiveness of red chili in this area.

Abstract

The agricultural sector as a buffer for food supply also contributes the largest workforce in Indonesia. However, low income and high poverty in farming households have raised questions regarding the condition of food security in areas where most of majority of the population are farmers. To examine this, the research uses the variable percentage of farmers per total worker from BPS and the Food Security Index (IKP) score from the National Food Agency in 416 districts in Indonesia from 2020 to 2022. Through Generalized Least Square (GLS) estimation, a significant negative correlation was found between the percentage of farmers and the IKP score. Every percentage increase in the number of farmers by 1% will be accompanied by a decrease in the IKP score of 0.107 points under ceteris paribus conditions. In short, the research results show that districts with a greater percentage of farmers and poor people from the agricultural sector, higher wages for agricultural labor and less rice production, will have lower level of food security. On the other hand, districts with high GRDP, large populations, higher rice consumption costs, lower meat consumption costs, and many poor people targeted by the Non-Cash Food Assistance program will have a higher level of food security. In relation to this matter, poverty reduction measures in districts where most of the workforce comes from the agricultural sector need to be accelerated to increase food security.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the extent to which motivation and discipline influence the performance of harvest employees at PT. Sinar Dinamika Kapuas 1, located in Melawi Regency. A quantitative approach was employed, with primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 122 employees of the company. The collected data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, assisted by SmartPLS version 4.0 software to test the formulated hypotheses. The results indicate that both motivation and discipline have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. These findings are expected to serve as input for the company in enhancing employee motivation and discipline to better achieve organizational goals.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Production management is an important element in the company's operations to ensure that products are produced in accordance with the specifications of customer demand, in the face of global competition, PT Ciomas Adisatwa Unit Pemalang is required to implement innovative and sustainable production strategies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of production management at PT Ciomas Adisatwa Unit Pemalang with the approach of 6M Men (Human Resources), Machinery, (Machinery and Technology), Materials, Methods (Production Methods), Markets, and Money (Capital and Finance). This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, the number of respondents in this study was 10 people. The results of the study show that PT Ciomas Adisatwa Unit Pemalang implements a professional labor recruitment system, strict selection of raw material suppliers, production methods based on GMP and SOPs guided by the FSSC 22000 V6 food safety scheme, marketing strategies with a marketing mix method, and from a financial perspective, capital management is carried out in a structured manner to support business sustainability.

Abstract

The agricultural sector has a large contribution to the Indonesian economy, but rice farmers are still less prosperous. This condition raises questions about the economic conditions of farmers who have limited land, especially in Ngengor Village, Pilangkenceng District, Madiun Regency. The purpose of this study was to identify the expenditure patterns of farming households and analyze the factors that influence farming household expenditure. This study was conducted on 54 farming households using the simple random sampling method. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the average household expenditure per year reached IDR 20,345,474, with a distribution between food needs (53.58%) and non-food (46.42%). Income, education level (elementary, junior high, and high school), and number of family members have a significant effect on household expenditure. Meanwhile, land area does not have a significant effect. The results of this study highlight the importance of income and education in the financial management strategy of farming households, as well as the importance of diversifying sources of income for small-scale farming households

Abstract

In the competitive fishing industry, employee performance is the main factor in maintaining the productivity and competitiveness of the company. PT. HATNI, a fishery product processing company in Tlogo Sadang, Paciran, Lamongan, faces challenges in maintaining the quality and quantity of its production. This study aims to analyze factors that affect employee performance, including work ability, education level, work motivation, leadership style, job satisfaction, work environment, work loyalty, and work discipline. The method used was a quantitative approach with a survey of 60 employees selected using the purposive sampling technique, and data analysis was carried out by multiple regression using SPSS version 25. The results of the study show that all of these factors have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, with work loyalty and work discipline as the most dominant variables. In addition, a conducive work environment and an effective leadership style also increase employee motivation and satisfaction. The F test shows that independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance, with an Adjusted R Square value of 77.6%, which means that most of the variations in employee performance can be explained by these factors. Therefore, PT. HATNI is advised to improve training programs, improve the motivation system, and create a better work environment to encourage employee productivity in a sustainable manner.
