Abstract

One of the vegetable and fruit shopping centers that affected by the Covid-19 pandemic is the Agro Store which is managed by the Hortimart Agro Center. This study aims to know: 1) the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic; 2) the use of the digital platform; and 3) the advantages of using digital platform. This is a descriptive qualitative research by using an interactive analysis model includes reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing that used Altas.ti 8 as an analysis tool for data coding. The results of the study concludes: 1) the Covid-19 pandemic caused operational activities at the Agro Store to be closed for approximately four months; 2) the Whatsapp digital platform is an alternative platform for Agro Store to sell vegetable and fruit products online; and 3) internal constraints are the lack of human resources and transportation, while external constraints are complaints from customers. The implication of this research for Agro Store is a reminder and also a trigger to consistent use the digital platform as a marketing media of selling vegetable and fruit products online as an opportunity to expand the market and increase sales turnover.

Abstract

The processing is carried out so that the fish and fishery products have added value. The purpose of fish processing is to reduce the water content in the fish body, one way is by making salted fish. The fish that are usually processed into salted fish in Deket District are freshwater fish, namely tilapia fish. The choice of tilapia fish because it is in fresh condition, the price is cheap and if it has been processed into salted fish, it taste good and is very attractive to the community. The purpose of this research was to determine the added value of processing tilapia fish into salted in Weduni Village, Deket District, Lamongan Regency. The method used in this research is quantitative method, and the sampling is done by purposive sample in the fishery product processing group, the name of group is “Dhie RT Dagelan”. The results showed that the added value obtained was Rp. 50.505/kg with a value added ratio of 70,14%

Abstract

Tawes fish is a freshwater fish that is easy to maintain in ponds and ponds in the Lamongan area and its availability is abundant in the market. However, if it is sold fresh, the price is the cheapest among other types of fish. Therefore, efforts were made to increase the added value of Tawes fish by preserving it using the smoking method. The purpose of this study was to determine the added value of smoking Tawes fish in Lamongan Regency. The method used in this study is a quantitative method, and the sampling is done by purposive sampling, with the calculation of value added analysis using the Hayami method. The final result of the research shows that the added value obtained is Rp. 6.858/kg with the ratio of added value is  24,5%

Abstract

Companies as national economic development actors must be able to contribute to improve the welfare of the community and the surrounding environment, this concern is proved by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, including PT. Kaltim Prima Coal, which has implemented Social Responsibility for Agibusiness Development for farmers around the mine since 1999. One of the groups that becomes the beneficiary is Harapan Jaya Farmer Group. The purpose of this study is (1) Describe the application of Social Responsibility/CSR of PT. KPC in Harapan Jaya farmer group, (2) Find out the income and expenditure structure of vegetable farmer households who are members of Harapan Jaya farmer group, (3) Find out the welfare level of vegetable farmer households. This study uses a qualitative design with a case study method. The selection of study sites was carried out deliberately (purposive) with the consideration that the area is the ring I area closest to the mining area. The welfare level of household was measured using the poverty line of the Sayogyo (1996), World Bank, and BPS. The welfare level of farmers households based on Sayogyo's criteria (1996), World Bank and based on BPS poverty line criteria continued is criteria shows that 78.95% of farmer households are classified as not poor, 57.89 % of households are classified as poor and 52.63% of farmer households are classified as poor.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the superior sub-sectors in the agricultural sector that can be developed in Lampung Province. This study uses secondary data obtained from the National Statistics Agency and the Province of Lampung. The analysis method used in this calculation consists of the Location Question (LQ), Shift Share (SS) and Klassen Typology. The results of this study indicate that the sub-sectors of food crops, livestock, agricultural services and hunting, and fisheries have a value of LQ > 1. It is the agricultural sub-sector that contributes greatly to the PDRB of Lampung Province. Those with a positive Shift Share (SS) value are the sub-sector of food crops, agricultural services and hunting, and fisheries. Based on the two LQ and SS analyzes, the classification typology value can be calculated which shows that the superior agricultural sub-sectors are the food crops, agricultural and hunting services, and fisheries sub-sectors.

Abstract

Corn is a multipurpose commodity, the demand for corn needs especially as a raw material for animal feed continues to increase. In 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture made a breakthrough to achieve self-sufficiency in corn and make Indonesia as the world of corn granary in the future. The government developed hybrid corn to every area that had development potential including Cianjur Regency. Mande Subdistrict is one of the districts with quite large corn production and there are company that produce animal feed where its existence was a form of cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Association of Animal Feed Companies (GPMT) as an effort to absorb local corn. This study aimed to explain the level of farmer participation, determine the type of participation which provided by farmers in the hybrid corn development program. The sample in this study used simple random sampling technique with a sample of 82 respondents. The design used quantitative design with survey method. Data analysis used descriptive statistics with the scoring. The results showed that the level of farmer participation in the hybrid corn development program was in the good category. The types of participation provided by farmers are in the form of energy, thoughts, skills, goods and money.

Abstract

Extension is a non-formal learning process to provide knowledge, training, technology, capital, and change the behavior of farmers to be more independent in making decisions. The role of the extension agent in extension activities is as a guide, organizer, technician and consultant to help farmers develop farming and increase production. This study aims to determine the effect of the role of agricultural extension workers on the production of lowland rice in Cibuniasih Village. The research method used is a survey and interviews with 68 respondents, namely rice farmers in Buniasih Village, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the role of agricultural instructors had a significant effect of 66.6% on rice production in Cibuniasih Village. The role of agricultural instructors as supervisors and consultants has a significant influence on the results of lowland rice production, meaning that the performance of extension workers in mentoring and consulting activities with farmers is going well. However, the role of agricultural extension workers as organizers and technicians has not had a significant effect on rice production, because the introduction of technology is still not appropriate and the needs of farmers have not been met properly.

Abstract

The production of mangoes in Indonesia, which is seasonal, causes mango production to be abundant during the harvest season and scarce when it is outside the harvest season. Currently, there are many alternatives in processing mangoes into processed products so that consumers can continue to consume mangoes outside the harvest season. However, it is not known what kind of mango processed products that are suitable for consumer preferences. This study aims to describe the characteristics of consumers of mango processed products and consumer preferences for processed mango products. The method used in this research is descriptive statistics and conjoint analysis. The results showed that consumers of processed mango products were dominated by women aged 21 years with an allowance of IDR 500.000 - IDR 1,000,000 per month and live in Java. Consumer preference for processed mango products refers to the choice of mango puree products with a sour taste and low price (less than IDR 15,000) The order of product attributes that are important to consumers is price (46%), type of product (41%), and taste (13%).

Abstract

Mangosteen are one of commodities cultivited in Simpang Sugiran Village. The problem faced by farmers in Simpang Sugiran Village are the use of ineffeictient production factors and delay in mangosteen exports due to Covid-19, which cause a decrease in income for mangosteen farmers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the farm income of mangosteen in Simpang Sugiran Village. The design in this study used a quantitative design and survey twchniques research methods.The Result of income analysis obtained by mangosteen farmer in Simpang Sugiran Village Rp. 1.508.207 per tree,  while the result of the R/C show a value of 5,92, which means that mangosteen farming is profitable.

Abstract

The tea commodity has an important role in the Indonesian economy, namely as an absorption of labor, a source of income for farmers, foreign exchange, encouraging agro-industrial development and environmental conservation. The purpose of this study is to determine and evaluate the sustainability status of the Barokah farmer group's tea plantations. The research was conducted in the tea plantation agro-industry of the Barokah farmer group, Ciwidey District, Bandung Regency. The data used in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data used in this study were obtained from direct observations in the field and direct interviews with the object of research. Secondary data in this study were obtained from related parties such as the Barokah Farmer Group, the people's tea agro-industry, the Lebak Muncang Village Office. Apart from what has been mentioned above, researchers also use secondary data from literature studies, journals, previous research. The analysis method uses multidimensional scaling (MDS). The results showed the evaluation results of the agro-industrial sustainability of the Barokah farmer groups' tea plantations, showing all dimensions, namely ecological, economic, social, institutional and technological in the sufficient category.
