Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of label preference on purchasing decisions, the influence of perceived ease of obtaining organic vegetables on purchasing decisions and the influence of label preferences and perceived ease of obtaining organic vegetables on purchasing decisions.The results of the study showed that the perception of ease of obtaining products had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with a total influence of 23,6%. The direct effect of the perception of the ease of obtaining a product for a purchasing decision is 17%, This means that the more easily consumers get organic vegetables, the decision of consumers to buy organic vegetable products is higher

Abstract

The level of financial access in Indonesia is relatively low because of some obstacles that are faced by farmers in Indonesia to access formal financial institutions. KSM Jaya Amanah is one of the institutions that seeks to implement the financial inclusion of farmers through an empowerment program i.e the agricultural financing house. This research aims to identify the role of KSM Jaya Amanah in implementing financial inclusion in Pacet Subdistrict, Bandung District. Data analytical methods used in this research is descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis showed that several efforts have been made by KSM Jaya Amanah in implementing financial inclusion for  farmers  through the agricultural financing house program that focuses to provide financial access for farmers who are considered unbankable people. The agricultural financing house has a positive impact on the farm results of its members. The barriers faced by the KSM in implementing financial inclusion include lack of funds from investors and lack of the management resources.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the dynamics of mango commodity agribusiness activity, to describe the description of market selection by mango farmers, to identify factors influencing market selection, and to know the potency and constraints of mango farmers in Panyingkiran District of Majalengka in mango agribusiness activities. Quantitative research design with survey method. Data analysis was done by descriptive statistical data analysis. The results show that there has been little change in mango farming activities since the farmers started to date. The majority marketing objective is to collecting traders/middlemen chosen because of the factors of accessibility, proximity/family, cash payment system, and the prevailing means of production loan. Easy capital, good quality mango results into the potential of mango agribusiness activities while the constraints occur due to weather with high rainfall and expensive stimulants grow price. Keywords: Agribusiness Dynamics, Agribusiness System, Market Selection, Marketing Channel. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Panyingkiran Kabupaten Majalengka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memaparkan dinamika yang terjadi pada kegiatan agribisnis komoditas mangga, mendeskripsikan gambaran pemilihan pasar oleh petani mangga, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan pasar, dan mengetahui potensi serta kendala petani mangga di Kecamatan Panyingkiran dalam dalam kegiatan agribisnis komoditas mangga. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dinamika agribisnis komoditas mangga cenderung statis. Tujuan pemasaran mayoritas adalah ke pedagang pengumpul/tengkulak dipilih karena adanya faktor kemudahan akses, kedekatan/keluarga, sistem pembayaran tunai, dan pinjaman saprotan. Mudahnya permodalan, hasil mangga yang berkualitas baik menjadi potensi kegiatan usahatani komoditas mangga sedangkan kendala terjadi akibat cuaca dengan curah hujan tinggi dan harga ZPT mahal. Kata kunci: Dinamika Agribisnis, Sistem Agribisnis, Pemilihan Pasar, Saluran Pemasaran.

Abstract

Coffee consumption rate in Indonesia has been increasing since 2013. This fact goes simultaneously with the increase of the number of coffee shops that was built in the last few years. Aside from being a place in which consumers can buy and consume coffee, these coffee shops also developed theirs facilities so that it can be a place for the consumers to socialize or as a comfortable place to do their works. Along with the development of the coffee shops’ facilities, there is also a development in the consumers’ mindset. In the last few years, generation Z has began to grow and became one of the targets of coffee shop consumer demographics. Jatinangor is an education area where a lot of students, who are included as generation Z, do most of their activities. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of generation Z consumers and to identify the preferences of generation Z consumers towards coffee shops in Jatinangor. The sample selection in this study used systematic random sampling technique with a sample of 163 respondents. The analysis used was descriptive analysis and discriminant analysis. The results of this study showed the demography and psychography characteristics of generation Z consumers in a big coffee shop and a small coffee shop in Jatinangor and showed significant differences in variables such as age, consumption intensity, expense, number of visits, number of people, distance, traveling time, time spent at the coffee shop, and visiting time between the consumers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan usahatani cabai dilihat dari system panen yang dilakukan petani yaitu sistem panen merah dan yang melakukan sistem panen hijau di Kecamatan Sariwangi Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam Penelitian ini adalah metode survey, adapun data yang digunakan terdiri dari data primer dan sekunder. Penentuan petani sampel memakai metode sampel acak proporsional (proporsional random sampling), jumlah responden yang diambil sebanyak 36 petani, terdiri dari petani cabai yang melakukan panen merah sebanyak 9 orang dan petani cabai yang melakukan panen sistem hijau sebanyak 27 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usahatani cabai dengan sistem panen merah lebih besar baik dilihat dari segi biaya yang dikeluarkan maupun dari penerimaan dan pendapatan yang diperoleh serta nilai R-C yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

Coffee is one of plantation commodities that plays an important role for Indonesian economy, in which of its benefits is for country income. The strategic role of coffee in Indonesian economy can be observed from contribution of the plantation sub-sector to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), in which coffee is the main plantation commodity. Pangalengan Sub District, Bandung District is one of the arabica coffee centers in West Java. Coffee has a big role to increase Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in Bandung. This study aims to determine the potential of coffee commodity for economic growth in Bandung, especially in Pangalengan. This research used quantitative descriptive methods using time series data from the production of estate crops in the period of 2012-2016. The analysis used Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share. The results of this study indicate that coffee is the main plantation commodity in Pangalengan and Bandung. The shift share analysis shows that coffee has a positive growth both in Pangalengan and Bandung even though the whole production growth in plantation sectors decreased in Bandung.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the communication process between extension agents and farmers in implementing the Jajar Legowo system in Murni Jaya, Tumujajar District, Tulang Bawang Barat District. The location of the study was determined purposively. Data collection was conducted in November 2018. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques by conducting direct observations to the research site, deep interview interviews with the management of farmer and extension groups, and literature studies. The method of data analysis is descriptive qualitative. The focus of this research is the obstacle of communication between Mekar Jaya Jaya extension agents and Gapoktan in the implementation of the Jajar Legowo Planting System and the solution to deal with the problem. The results of the study showed that the communication carried out by the instructor was quite good, this was because the instructor had meetings with members of the farmer group once a month, carried out the program and continued the work. Whereas farmers who did not want to implement the Jajar Legowo Planting System were caused by the complex nature of the innovation and the cost of implementing the innovation was greater than using the previous planting system, so there were still doubts by farmers to implement the innovation. Efforts are being made to overcome these obstacles, namely the need to improve farmers' perceptions of the Jajar Legowo Planting System, extension workers need to increase the intensity of assistance to farmers, and also need to control and evaluate rice farming carried out by rice farmers in Murni Jaya Village.

Abstract

Cattle and beef commodities have become a political commodity because the increase in beef prices has been responded significantly by both legislative and executive institutions. West Java became one of the provinces categorized as the area of beef consumption because the needs of cattle and beef cannot be supplied by local cattle in West Java. Lack of beef cattle is supplied from outside the province or abroad. This study aims to see the amount of cattle and beef cattle production to West Java, the number of cattle and beef cattle needs in West Java, as well as the balance between supply and demand of beef and beef cattle in West Java. This research used quantitative method with secondary data as its base of analysis. The results showed that the number of cattle production calculated from the number of cattle population, the production of calf, and the amount of imported cattle from outside the province or abroad. In 2015, the number of West Java cattle population amounted to 425,486 heads, 60,990 calves, and 219,226 heads of imported cattle. The amount of beef cattle production can reach 75,477,941 kg. The total requirement of cattle and beef cattle in West Java was 408,881 heads and 84,733,150 kg. Based on data of supply and requirement of beef cattle could be calculated balance of cattle beef in West Java. The balance of beef cattle in West Java had a deficit meat during 2011-2015. Keywords: Production, Supply, Consumption, Balance, Beef Cattle

Abstract

The level of coffee consumption in Indonesia reaches 4.6 million packages and Indonesia ranks 6th in the world with the largest coffee consumption in the world. Variants of coffee that have been famous until 2019 are very diverse, originating from various regions such as Java Coffee, Gayo Coffee, and others. The increase in coffee consumption in Indonesia is also supported by globalization which has caused many Coffee Shops to be established in Indonesia, especially in the city of Bandung. Coffee shops in the diverse city of Bandung cause competition among coffee shops, this requires every Coffee Shop entrepreneur to innovate in his business. This study aims to examine how the business innovation used by one of the Coffee Shops in Bandung, namely 'Coffee As' uses the Business Model Canvas in developing its business. The study was conducted using qualitative methods, in-depth interview techniques, and documentation. Business Model Environmental Analysis is carried out to see the state of the business environment to see the state of the market, industry, key trends, and macroeconomics. The results show that 'Coffee As' applies the Business Model Canvas based on Value Proportion with the aim of conveying the value of 'perfect' and the main focus of the target consumer is adults, by providing facilities, services, and the best quality coffee yields from the Pangalengan plantation.

Abstract

Rice is the staple food for Indonesian people, to maintain domestic supply, rice market must be efficient. The purposes of this study are to analyze: (1) Marketing cost and (2) Marketing efficiency. This study used survey methods, snowball sampling is done in this study, data used consist of primary and secondary data, the data were analyzed by mathematic and descriptive analyze, the location of the study is in the centre of rice production in Ciamis district and centre of rice production in West Java. The results show that thr rice marketing in Ciamis is more efficient than those of West Java Province, this condition is due to low cost of marketing and lower price of paddy, therefore the rice which produced in Ciamis district has competitve advantage in the market in West Java.
