Abstract

Vegetables are one of the horticultural commodities that have high economic value, can be a source of income for the community and farmers. The need for vegetables is increasing along with the growth of the population, especially regarding consumer decisions in consuming vegetables. To find out what consumers want, it requires the support of accurate and detailed market information covering consumer behavior. This study aims to determine the characteristics and attitudes of consumers in buying vegetables at traditional markets and traveling vegetable vendors. This research was carried out from February to March 2022 in Anaiwoi Village, Tangggetada District, Kolaka Regency. The samples in this study were taken by accidental sampling and quota sampling. The sample studied was 30 respondents of housewives who shopped at traditional markets and 30 respondents of housewives who shopped at traveling vegetable vendors. The methods used in this study are qualitative descriptive analysis and multiatribute analysis of fishbein. The results showed that consumer attitudes have 4 assessment attributes, namely the price of vegetables, the freshness of vegetables, the cleanliness of vegetables and the diversity of vegetables. from the results of the multiatribute analysis of fishbein explained that the highest attitude value of vegetables in traditional markets is found in the attributes of vegetable diversity and vegetable freshness. Meanwhile, the highest attitude value of vegetables in traveling vegetable vendors is in the attributes of vegetable hygiene. The neutral attitude is on the attributes of freshness and diversity of vegetables.

Abstract

Supplier performance plays an important role in ensuring the availability of supply goods that will affect the company's performance. PT. Bimandiri Agro Sedaya is a distributor of high quality fresh vegetables that relies on suppliers to procure all vegetables. One of the vegetable commodities with the highest demand and continues to increase from the company is broccoli, but the company's service level in meeting customer demand has actually decreased due to lack of supply from suppliers. This study aims to describe the purchasing process in the procurement of broccoli, as well as to determine the performance ranking of the best broccoli suppliers at PT. Bimandiri Agro Sedaya. The design applied in this research is qualitative and quantitative with case study research techniques. The first objective is achieved by conducting descriptive analysis, while the second goal is achieved by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Based on the results of the study, the purchasing process in the procurement of broccoli at PT. Bimandiri Agro Sedaya consists of six stages, namely making quantity estimates, ordering to suppliers, receiving orders from customers, sending broccoli by suppliers, receiving and checking broccoli, and payments to suppliers. Furthermore, the first rank of broccoli supplier with the best performance is Mr. Yayang (50.9%), the second rank is PTA (20.7%), the third rank is IDF (14.7%), and the last rank is Mr. Ayi Ilham (13,7%).

Abstract

This study aims to identify internal and external factors and formulate alternative marketing strategies for meat potato chips agro-industry. The research location was taken purposively, using the case study method. This study uses IFE and EFE analysis and SWOT analysis. The results obtained are internal factors consisting of product strengths and weaknesses where the strengths are guaranteed raw material continuity, motivation to develop business, online product marketing, halal products, non-MSG products, safe and attractive product packaging, semi-modern production equipment. The weakness of the product is limited capital, no offline store, lack of product flavor variant innovation, the product does not have a PIRT permit. External factors include opportunities and threats from the product. Opportunities for products that have the potential to be used as souvenir products, wider product market share, product diversification, products are good for health. Some of the threats to business actors are competitors offering products at relatively lower prices, fluctuating production material prices, and a decrease in turnover in the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic. Marketing strategy as an alternative strategy from external and internal factors is promoting at various events. such as bazaars or local events as well as opening collaborations with product resellers in various regions, making product differentiation and completing PIRT permits, collaborating with other souvenir products and being marketed online, as well as promoting product education.

Abstract

The use of social media as a marketing tool provides a lot of convenience for consumers to get information about the products they need or want. Marketing through social media is also known as digital marketing. The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is a positive and significant influence between influencer marketing and brand image on buying decision. Descriptive quantitative methods were used in this research by distributing questionnaires for research data collection and randomization using purposive sampling technique to collect respondents who had bought products and followed Frutivez’s Instagram. Multiple regression analysis was used on the data obtained to determine the influence exerted by influencer marketing and brand image on consumer buying decisions. The results of this research show that influencer marketing, brand image, and the combination of the two variables have a positive and significant influence on consumer buying decisions with a strong influence based on the results of hypothesis testing in this study which shows that: (1) Influencer marketing has a positive and significant effect on buying decisions with a regression coefficient value of 0.581 ; (2) Brand image has a positive effect on buying decisions with a regression coefficient value of 0.298, and (3) Influencer marketing and brand image simultaneously have a positive effect on buying decisions, as evidenced with the coefficient of determination value of 0.705 indicating that the ability of the independent variables in explaining the variation of the dependent variable is 70.5%. This proves that the number of product sales from September to October is due to the influence of influencer marketing and brand image which has a positive and significant influence on consumer buying decisions to increase sales of Frutivez’s products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze what production factors affect organic rice production and how efficient the use of these production factors is in the Sari Alam Farmer Group, Cibatu Village, Sukabumi Regency and the Implemented Farmer Group, Sukakarya Village, Sukabumi City. The research area method was carried out purposively (deliberately). The number of samples was 40 farmers from the Sari Alam Farmer Group, Cibatu Village, Cikembar District, Sukabumi Regency and 40 farmers from the Implemented Farmer Group, Sukakarya Village, Warudoyong District, Sukabumi City, the data used was for one planting season. The first hypothesis is analyzed by multiple regression analysis, the second hypothesis includes technical efficiency, price efficiency and economic efficiency using the frontier function. The results of the analysis of the two statistical test sample areas showed that simultaneously the independent variables consisting of land area, seeds, compost, liquid organic fertilizer and labor had a significant effect on the dependent variable, namely organic rice production. The classical assumption test shows that the research data is normally distributed, free of multicollinearity symptoms and there is no strong correlation between independent variables. The results of organic rice farming calculations show that in the Sari Alam Farmer's Group technical efficiency (ET) is 0.997, price efficiency (EH) is 7.266 and economic efficiency (EE) is 7.204 and in Implemented Farmers Group technical efficiency (ET) is 0.998, price efficiency ( EH) of 5.960 and economic efficiency (EE) of 5.948. The economic value in both farmer groups is more than 1, meaning that organic rice farming activities in both groups are very efficient.

Abstract

Currently, Indonesia is facing the pandemic of Covid-19 which had a negative impact on all sectors, including the agricultural sector. One of them is the price of potatoes at the farm level which fluctuates so that it will affect the income of potato farming. This condition is also experienced by potato farmers in Gowa Regency. This study aims to analyze the differences in the income of potato farmers before and during pandemic of Covid-19 in Gowa Regency. This study used T-test analysis using the SPSS program. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the income of potato farmers before and during the pandemic of Covid-19.

Abstract

Tobacco is one of the potential estate crops commodity because of the large amount of consumer within the productive age group. In recent years, Bandung District's production of tobacco is increasing and didn’t decrease it’s land area. Furthermore, Cicalengka Sub-district productivity is in the top five of Bandung District. So, the Cicalengka Sub-district can be assumed potential in tobacco farming. Based on the observation in Cijaha, Tanjungwangi Village there is a phenomenon where farmer leaving their profession to non-farming related profession that resulted from good accessibility to the industries central and to the city. However, there are some that still farming tobacco. The purpose of this research is to find out the farmer’s characteristic, their cultivation system, and profitability of the farmers in Cijaha. The research method used is the qualitative method with a case study approach. The analysis of this research was using are characteristic theory, tobacco cultivation technique, and farming feasibility with using snowball technique for sample selection. The tobacco farmer in Cijaha are categorized in non-productive age group, their education finished until elementary school, their number of dependents are low. The farmers are categorized as small-scale farmer, their land tenure are self-owned and rent, and the tobacco farmers are not motivated to expand their tobacco farming. Their method for cultivating tobacco is in accordance with expert's method, and tobacco farming in Cijaha, Tanjungwangi Village are incured losses and not feasible to expand further.

Abstract

The number of students of the Bachelor Agribusiness Study Program who have done entrepreneurship is currently known to be only around 2%. Agribusiness bachelor student's decision to become entrepreneurs are affected by several factors, including motivation, family environment, and capital. This study aims to analyze the factors that affected the decision of agribusiness bachelor students to become entrepreneurs. The method used was a 96 respondents survey method. The datas were analyzed by binary logistic regression. The results of binary regression analysis show that the independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the dependent variables. Partially, the family environment and capital variables affect the decision of the class of 2017 Agribusiness Study Program students to become entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. In the other hand, motivation does not affected their decision to become entrepreneurs. To increase the number of agribusiness bachelor students in entrepreneurship, the study program is expected to be able to work together with the university to provide real entrepreneurship experience for students by increasing the quota of participants for entrepreneurial programs such as the Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW), Entrepreneurship Student Creativity (PKM-K) and Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).

Abstract

Fruit supply in Indonesia comet from imports and locally. The number of fruit import increased from 2015 to 2020. Its a threat to local fruit agribusiness actors. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the quality of local fruit so that it becomes input for agribusiness actors to increase their competitiveness. This research method is quantitative with survey technique. Data were obtained from the results of filling out questionnaires from 100 respondents who were found in traditional markets and modern markets in Jakarta. Data were processed using Importance-Performance Analysis. The results represent reshness is the most important quality attribute and taste is the attribute with the highest level of performance. Strategies need to be implemented by maintaining the quality of taste, freshness and vitamins, as well as improving appearance attributes and food safety. This can be done by making improvements starting from cultivation, harvesting and post-harvest so that food safety and the appearance of local fruit are imporved and maintained. Further research needs to be done by examining consumer satisfaction with local fruit.

Abstract

Tasikmalaya Regency has an agricultural sector which plays a fairly high role in the regional economy. The area of paddy fields is the area that dominates other garden sectors. Therefore, the objectives to be achieved in this study are to analyze the linkages of the agricultural sector, the impact of the spread and the impact of the multiplier, as well as the impact of final demand on the economy in Tasikmalaya Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. The data used is secondary data, namely input-output table data in Tasikmalaya Regency in 2020. While the analysis used is input-output analysis. The results of this study indicate that the agricultural sector has an important role for the economy in Tasikmalaya Regency when viewed from the structure of the economy. Based on the input-output analysis, the value of the linkage, the impact of the spread and the impact of the multiplier obtained by the agricultural sector has a high value. The agricultural sector has the ability to increase the growth of other sectors, both upstream and downstream. while based on the leading sector, the agricultural sector is the second priority after the wholesale and retail trade sector.
