This paper aims to explore how social networks provide farmers with access to resources, understanding the extent to which farmers with agricultural and non-agricultural backgrounds build their business networks. The research methodology is qualitative. Data was collected between October 2020 – June 2021, through semi-structured interviews with 30 farmers in West Java. There are 15 farmers who have an agricultural background, and 15 of them are novice farmers who do not have an agricultural background. The results showed that strong and weak ties each contributed to novice farmers in accessing resources. Beginner farmers who are not from the agricultural environment struggle harder to build business networks, making greater sacrifices in accessing the resources they need. Farmers with non-agricultural backgrounds are able to access material resources which are usually obtained from strong social ties. With hard effort and sacrifice, they are able to get resources from weak social ties. Agriculture is a sector that is constantly undergoing rapid changes, so these two groups of farmers must be able to move quickly, across “borders” to access resources in innovative ways from various existing sources.

Madura is not only known as a center for the production of salt and tobacco commodities, but this famous dry island is also famous for its traditional herbal medicine ingredients. Pamekasan is a district that is famous for its processed biopharmaceuticals in the form of traditional herbal medicine. Some of the objectives of this research are: To classify traditional herbal medicine businesses in the category of micro, small and medium enterprises based on their characteristics and analyze the strategy for implementing the partnership model through SWOT. This research was carried out in Pamekasan Regency, and was carried out from June–November 2021. This research is a qualitative research in which the data sources are obtained from questionnaires and the results of interviews with Madurese traditional herbal medicine entrepreneurs. This study was analyzed using two analytical tools, namely descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the IFE calculation, a total score of -0.168 was obtained and the EFE calculation obtained a total score of 0.686. The results of these calculations show that the IE matrix (Internal External) of herbal medicine SMEs in Pamekasan Regency is in quadrant IX, this shows that herbal medicine SMEs in Pamekasan Regency have a low average value, so the right strategy to use is the strategy to support the diversification strategy. . The strategy applied in this condition is to minimize weaknesses to reduce threats.

Although organic farming, one of which is organic rice, many benefits and positive effects have been mentioned, if we observe the development, it has not yet reached its maximum production. The purpose of this study was to describe the performance of the agribusiness subsystem in the development of organic rice agribusiness for farmers. This research was carried out in several farmer groups assisted by JAMTANI spread across the villages of Cimurutu, Paledah, and Padaherang who are organic rice farmers in the area. The sampling technique used in this research is using cluster random sampling technique with the number of respondents as many as 120 farmers who are fostered by JAMTANI. Performance was analyzed using descriptive statistics. Research results Based on the agribusiness system approach consisting of input supply subsystems, cultivation, harvest and postharvest handling, marketing and support, it shows that the performance of organic rice agribusiness on JAMTANI partner farmers in Pangandaran district obtained adequate performance. Changes in production when viewed from the number of farmers, as many as 120 people have experienced changes in the amount of production.

Oil palm as a leading export commodity in Aceh Province in its development faces obstacles both at the cultivation and post-harvest and marketing levels which will determine the income and welfare of farmers. This study aims to analyze the contribution of oil palm farming in improving farmer welfare. The research method used a survey method of smallholder oil palm farmers. The results showed that oil palm farming was categorized as contributing enough to improving the welfare of farmer households. To achieve a decent living category, farmers must own 2.08 hectares of land or a minimum selling price of Rp1,553.40 per kg. Increasing productivity of oil palm should be a priority scale in anticipating fluctuations in CPO prices which have implications for fluctuations in the selling price of TBS at the farm level.

Waste cooking is a vegetable oil that can be processed into laundry soap products. Business opportunities based on waste cooking soap that are environmentally friendly need to be researched. This study aims to create an environmentally friendly laundry soap business design using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) method. Sources of data obtained from in-depth interviews with household scale soap producer Inti Herba. Based on the results of the analysis, there are 9 blocks used in designing an environmentally friendly laundry soap business based on waste cooking. Environmentally friendly products have a value proportion to green products which are products that are in demand by environmental activists/green consumers. Therefore, in this eco-friendly laundry soap business design, the market segment is housewives who are environmental activists. The other seven blocks studied using BMC show important aspects related to the design of an environmentally friendly laundry soap business from waste cooking.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a medicinal plant that has many health benefits. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for ginger in the market has increased. Therefore, ginger production must be increased to supply consumer demand. High production is inseparable from the motivation of farmers to develop their farming. Motivation is a condition that encourages a person to take an action that is influenced by internal factors (intrinsic factors). The purpose of this study was to determine the intrinsic factors that influence the motivation of ginger farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative design with a survey method. The location of the research was determined using a purposive technique. The research was conducted in Amborgang Village and Nalela Village for consideration as a center for ginger production in Porsea District. The research population is ginger farmers with a total of 160 people. The research sample was taken using probability sampling technique. The number of samples was 62 people consisting of 41 people from Ambogang Village and 21 people from Nalela Village. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. Respondents are dominated by productive age around 95.16 persen, male sex around 93.55 persen, high school education graduates around 58.06 persen, and main occupation as farmers around 77.42 persen. The results showed that the intrinsic factor was in medium category with a score percentage is 55.16 persen. The variables of formal education and experience are in high category; variables of age, income, land area, and number of family are in medium category; and variable of non-formal education is in low category.

The development of domestic soybean production which tends to be slow causes the demand for soybeans to be unable to be fulfilled every year even though various government programs have been rolled out. The inability of local soybeans to meet domestic demand for soybeans causes dependence on imported soybeans. The use of good and appropriate farmer empowerment methods becomes an urgency, so that farmers become empowered and have independence. This study aims to determine the level of independence of soybean farmers and analyze the factors that affect the level of independence of farmers in Jatiwaras District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The research will be carried out using a survey method in Jatiwaras District, Tasikmalaya Regency which is a potential soybean development area in West Java by taking a sample of 127 soybean farmers using simple random sampling. The data collected in this study consisted of secondary data and primary data. The data analysis method used in this research is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that (1) the level of independence of soybean farmers in Jatiwaras District was in the moderate category, (2) motivation, ability, socio-cultural environment, extension performance, empowerment, and participation had a significant effect on the independence of soybean farmers, while dynamism had no significant effect.

Rapid technological advances allow access to information about healthy food nowadays is no longer an important issue. Sellers and buyers can interact directly through the internet without having to go out of the house. The large number of e-commerce and marketplace options makes competition between retailers even tighter. XYZ is one of the many e-commerce that sells vegetables and fruits. The intense competition amid a pandemic demands XYZ to continue making improvements in service quality and product quality. This study aims to measure the level of satisfaction and level of consumer loyalty of XYZ in Jabodetabek. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to XYZ consumers via Instagram’s direct message. The research used a quantitative design with an explanatory survey as the technique of the research. The number of samples used in this study was 96 samples with respondents who happened to shop for vegetables and fruits from XYZ and live in Jabodetabek. Data analysis that was used in the research was descriptive, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The results showed that XYZ consumers in Jabodetabek were very satisfied with the services provided by XYZ. They also tend to have a very high level of loyalty.

Floriculture is a potential commodity and is in demand in Indonesia. Edible flowers are one of the consumable floricultural commodities. In Indonesia, the utilization and consumption level of edible flowers is not optimal. In order to maximize the marketing activities of edible flowers, a company must be able to study consumer behavior. Analysis of consumer attitudes is used in this study to determine the tendency of consumers to behave towards edible flower commodities. This study uses a quantitative design and a survey method using a questionnaire instrument. The sample size used was 51 respondents. The method used is a descriptive analysis to analyze respondents' attitudes based on the affective attitude attribute towards edible flower commodities. The results of this study indicate that the majority of respondents' attitudes towards the affective attitude attribute towards edible flower commodities showed good results. The highest affective attitude attribute was in the attribute, which stated that the edible flower commodity was attractive. Meanwhile, the lowest affective attitude attribute is in the attitude attribute 'Important'.

Potato is an annual vegetable crop that can replace staple food. The increase of potatoes needs lead to the majority of farmers in Kertasari to grow potatoes as one of their agricultural commodities. The Covid-19 pandemic had an impact on the agricultural sector, such as a decrease in the selling price of agricultural products which also occurred in potato. This study aimed to analyze the income of potato farming before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in Kertasari. This study uses a quantitative research design using a questionnaire as a research instrument. The research was conducted in Cibeureum and Cikembang Villages in Kertasari to 44 potato farmers from August to November 2020. Data analysis in this study used income analysis, R/C analysis, and paired sample t-test. The result showed that there was a significant difference between the income of potato farming before the Covid-19 pandemic and during the Covid-19 pandemic, and had a value of R/C above 1 indicating that potato farming in Kertasari is profitable and feasible to be performed.
