Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim of (1) analyzing the effect of product quality and consumer characteristics on the purchase of hydroponic vegetables UPTD Kawasan Agroeduwisata Cikundul; (2) analyzing the effect of product quality on the purchase of hydroponic vegetables UPTD Kawasan Agroeduwisata Cikundul; (3) analyzing the effect of consumer characteristics on the purchase of hydroponic vegetables UPTD Kawasan Agroeduwisata Cikundul. The research method used in this research is a limited survey method to consumers of hydroponic vegetables UPTD Kawasan Agroeduwisata Cikundul. The form of the research is verification research (explanatory). Respondents or research samples were selected using the incidental sampling method. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and path analysis to test between variables. The conclusion of the research show that product quality and consumer characteristics together have a real positive influence on the purchase of hydroponic vegetables by 25.7%. Partially, the product quality factor gave a real positive influence on the purchase of hydroponic vegetables by 9% and the consumer characteristics factor gave a real positive influence on the purchase of hydroponic vegetables by 16.7%. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested to the UPTD Kawasan Agroeduwisata Cikundul, Sukabumi City to give more attention to the quality of hydroponic vegetable products to increase purchases.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of income, the use of production factors for organic rice production, and the level of organic rice farming scale in Pringsewu Regency. This research was conducted from December 2021 to May 2022. Sampling used census sampling, namely taking the entire population as the research sample and the number of respondents as many as 33 people. Data analysis uses income analysis, Cobb-Douglas function analysis, and the level of business scale (return to scale). The results showed that organic rice farming was profitable and feasible to run because it had an R/C ratio of 2.64. Production factors of land area, seeds, manure, labor, and POC have a simultaneous effect on organic rice production with a percentage of production variation of 97.7%. The organic rice production process in Pringsewu Regency is at an increasing level of business (increasing return to scale), meaning that if an addition is made to the use of production factors, it will produce additional production with a larger proportion.

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan di Jawa Barat yang memproduksi produk pangan khususnya biskuit. Proses produksi biskuit di PT XYZ perusahaan masih mengalami kendala yang berkaitan dengan waste. Metode lean six sigma diaplikasikan untuk membantu mengurangi waste yang terjadi di PT XYZ. Metode ini menggunakan kerangka kerja DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, dan control) dibantu dengan beberapa tools seperti value stream mapping, E-DOWNTIME waste, nilai sigma, cause and effect diagram, dan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis. Value stream mapping menunjukkan hasil process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) dari 1 batch yang dihitung adalah 80,66% yang berarti 19,34% sisanya adalah non value added time. Non value added  time ini menunjukkan adanya kemungkinan waste yang terjadi di PT XYZ. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, waste defect, waiting, dan transportation menjadi jenis waste yang paling sering terjadi dan berpengaruh terhadap produksi biskuit di PT XYZ. Hasil kuesioner FMEA menunjukkan waste defect dengan potential cause kanvas tidak seamless memiliki nilai RPN paling tinggi, lalu RPN tertinggi waste waiting  adalah potential cause operator lalai serta kurang memperhatikan setelan mesin sehingga middleseal dan endseal mesin tidak pas, sedangkan waste transportation dengan RPN tertinggi adalah potential cause tata letak yang tidak efisien sehingga menambah leadtime produksi. Usulan perbaikan yang diberikan penulis adalah membuat master schedule maintenance, membentuk tim pengawas lapangan, mengganti kanvas menjadi seamless, dan membuat mapping layout area gudang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe consumer characteristics and consumption behavior of buying vegetables online and analyzing the effect of trust, convenience, product quality, and price on online vegetable purchasing decisions in South Jakarta.The study was conducted in South Jakarta in June – July 2022. The population were the people of South Jakarta who knew about Sayurbox, Tanihub, or Happyfresh. The sampling method was a non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique, respondents criteria in this study were women or men who are at least 18 years old, who actively working and domiciled in South Jakarta, and knew about Sayurbox, Happyfresh or Tanihub. The number of samples required were 100 respondents. This research was an explanatory research with questionnaire as a tool to collect the data. Data were analysed using binary logistic regression. The results showed that respondents in this study were dominated by women, the majority aged 21 – 23 years, worked as private employees, and had income levels between > Rp. 3,000,000 – Rp. 5,000,000. per month. The most frequently used e-commerce platform by respondents is Happyfresh, the majority of online vegetable purchases are 2-4 times a week, and the expenditure for online vegetable shopping is Rp. 250.001 – Rp. 350,000. per month.the and the variables of trust and convenience had no effect on purchasing decisions, while product quality and price variables had a significant effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

PT. Tiga Bintang Sukses (PT. TBS) as the holder of the Goedang Mayoer trademark is a company that strives in the field of providing the best fresh vegetables and fruits, by promoting the concept of farm to table or from farmers directly to consumers. One of the vegetables sold is chickpeas. Beans are one of the highest selling vegetables in the company but fluctuate due to uncertain demand from consumers, especially hotels, restaurants, cafes, and offices. In meeting consumer demand, the company cooperates with farmers. The purpose of this study is to find the best forecasting technique for vegetable sales in the company, to make a sales forecast level and to make an average profit from the sales forecast for the next six months for green beans at PT. Three Stars of Success. This study uses a quantitative approach. The method used in this research is a descriptive analysis and case study. Data collection techniques used using primary data and secondary data. Primary data is related to the company and uses a questionnaire. Secondary data comes from the company's internal data, namely sales of green beans from September 2021 to February 2022. The best forecasting technique for green beans is the multiplicative decomposition technique. The results of the level of sales forecasting show that the highest level of sales for green beans is 500.61 kg. The profit forecast for the next 6 months, has an average profit for green beans, which is Rp. 1,596,232.

Abstract

Tempe chips are simple preparations that have a new taste from consuming tempe. The tight competition between tempe chips business requires SMEs Kahla Tempe Crispy to continue to innovate and improve quality periodically. Tempe chips must be quality and guaranteed food safety for the community and the environment. This study aims to determine the attributes of products needed and desired by consumers Kahla Tempe Crispy with attention to the environment and costs in the production process through the method of Green quality function Deployment II. This method not only considers the quality aspect but also considers the environmental and cost aspects into the matrix, which is described in the Matrix House of Quality, Green House, Cost House, and Comparison House. House of Quality research results show there are 5 attributes that have been met by Kahla Tempe Crispy. Based on the Green House, there are 2 processes that have Critical Control Point and there are solid, liquid and gas waste from production. Through the value engineering method by replacing with a flat frying pan can reduce the cost of cooking oil for 1 year by Rp. 4.608.000. And the profit obtained by using a flatfrying  pan of Rp. 1,238,630,400 or greater Rp. 606,412,800 from a concave pan.On the matrix Concept Comparison House produces the best wok product concept for the production process of tempe chips are effective and efficient and meet the criteria Q.E.C (Quality, Environment, Cost). With the performance value of flat frying pan is higher (275) than concave frying pan (253), and the cost of flat frying pan is more economical (Rp. 347,753,592) from a concave pan (Rp. 351.968.592).

Abstract

In Indonesia, the rising rate of agricultural land conversion and soil degradation, decreasing agricultural exchange rates, advancing technological and cultural development, and expanding innovations in planting mediums and farming approaches, have blurred the definition of a peasant. Does the same phenomenon happen worldwide? This paper aims to set the evolution of the definition of a peasant in Indonesia globally. This study departed from the constructivism paradigm, which used a hermeneutics approach and literature study method. More than 50 literature from the past century were studied. We found that in Indonesia, the definition of the peasant has not been strongly justified from many perspectives (experts, institutions, communities), which created disparities in space and time contexts. While peasant’s global definition tends to be constant as it acts as the centre of the proposition just like other professions. Diversities in commodities, planting systems, and the bargaining position of farming as economic activity caused the specification of peasant’s definition in Indonesia. Thus, the definition of the peasant is still “wild” without strong boundaries. As one of the former colonial countries, Indonesia cannot be separated from its colonial inheritance, which affected the media and corporations. We conclude that the reconstruction of peasants’ definitions and praxis becomes a necessity because the biases of the paradigm and characteristics of peasants have made peasants lose their autonomy, sustainability and sense of humanity (humanism). The definition of peasant is not limited to space and land occupied, it has not been agreed upon as a profession and the label is used openly.

Abstract

The development of the world of coffee drinks has caused the demand for coffee to increase and coffee shops have begun to appear in various regions. The number of coffee shops that have sprung up has caused intense business competition in the coffee sector which requires coffee business people to develop their businesses in order to have more attractiveness to coffee consumers. This study aims to determine consumer characteristics, analyze the relationship between characteristics and consumer behavior, and analyze the impact of marketing mix on coffee shop consumer behavior. The sampling method is carried out by accidental sampling technique. The analysis methods used are descriptive analysis, Spearman Rank correlation, and Logistic Regression. The results showed that coffee shop consumers are dominated by consumers aged 18-27 years (youth), the last education / being pursued is a diploma / bachelor, income Rp.1,000,000 - Rp.3,000,000, have no dependents and the distance from home to the coffee shop is between 1-3 km. The characteristics of the age and income of the consumer, the level of education, the number of dependents, and the distance from home to the coffee shop are in real contact with consumer behavior. The product, place, and promotion components have a real effect on coffee consumer behavior but with a low influence, while the price component has no influence. Coffee attributes that must be maintained are the attributes of facilities, cleanliness, easy to reach, fragrance, menu variations, and advertising promotion.

Abstract

Indonesia is still a corn importing country. However, Indonesia has the potential to become a global producer of corn. Gorontalo Province is an interesting area to study in terms of value chain governance for maize. Because, the government and the people of Gorontalo are able to make corn a commodity that has a comparative advantage in the region. Gorontalo's label as a corn producer is really well designed so that it sticks and is then able to improve the welfare of its people in general. The analytical method used in this study is to collect information from various sources, such as the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), journals, and research reports from related institutions. Furthermore, the information obtained is then analyzed according to the subject matter of value chain governance, namely in terms of the actors involved in value chain governance, the existence of lead firms, and in terms of upgrading. The results of the study indicate that there are still many things that need to be improved in value chain governance for maize commodities in Gorontalo Province. Some things that still become obstacles include the quality of corn that is not in accordance with industry needs; farmers who do not understand how to cultivate corn commodities properly and correctly; postharvest handling that is still traditional; and the weakness of supporting institutions at the farmer level. Things that require serious action in building the governance of the corn commodity value chain in Gorontalo Province is in terms of building a local lead firm in the livestock sector and animal feed industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence farmers' decisions on the application of organic rice farming and their impact on productivity and income. The respondent determination technique used is a census obtained with a size of 80 people, each of which is 40 people who apply and 40 people who do not apply organic rice farming. The analysis technique used is multiple logistic regression. The results of the study obtained that the performance of organic rice farming was characterized by a land area of 0.44 ha, organic rice farming activities started from the use of superior and certified seeds; land management; Basic and secondary fertilization; use of organic materials; planting seeds; weeding; irrigation; pest and disease control; harvest and post-harvest, all of which are done conventionally. Marketing of the produce is done at the farmer's place with a selling price of Rp. 5,000/kg. Farmers' motivation factors, ease of obtaining organic materials, farming experience, land area, grain selling price, availability of farmer's capital simultaneously significantly influence the decision to implement organic rice farming. Meanwhile, partially, the significant ones with the largest order are: the selling price of grain; farmer motivation; ease of obtaining organic materials; and land area. The application of organic rice farming has no significant effect on productivity gains. For farm land. organic rice yielded 6,977 kg/ha productivity. While the non-organic 6,937 kg/ha. The application of organic rice farming has a positive effect on income, namely Rp. 15.162.464 / ha with R/C = 2.25, while the non-organic is Rp. 14.458.496 / ha with R/C = 1.80.
