Abstract

Learning motivation is the behavior of students who show interest and willingness in academic performance and critical thinking at school. Learning situations that are carried out in learning activities sometimes experience disruption such as students who are less focused, daydreaming and low learning motivation of students, low learning motivation will reduce student learning outcomes, so this study aims to determine the impact of implementing lesson study on economic subjects. to increase student motivation in class XI IPS 2 MAN 1 Malang City. The students involved were 40 people, with one model teacher, one supervisor, one tutor teacher, and 4 observers. This research uses the lesson study method to analyze the problem of the low learning motivation of students. The learning activity uses a scientific learning approach and the talking stick learning model. Lesson study stages are plan, do, see. The results of the study concluded that the learning motivation of students has increased with the implementation of lesson study activities.DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v13i22020p133

Abstract

This study aims to produce a CORE learning model design ( Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) in entrepreneurship course based on the digital economy. This research used research and development method with ADDIE  (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. This research was conducted at Padang State Unversity. The model validation test is carried out by experts and shows that this model is suitbale for use. The practicality test results show that this model is 87,33% very practical to use and the test results show that student learning outcomes improve and students can give a positive response. DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v14i12021p77

Abstract

The study aims to produce an application that can be used to improve the thinking ability of students or commonly termed HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills). The features provided by this application are related to the topic of existing problems in economics that are being studied. The method used in this research is the ADDIE Research and Development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research was conducted at the Faculty of Economics, State University of Malang. The appropriateness of the developed application product is based on the assessment of media experts, material experts as well as Economics Faculty-student respondents. The evaluation aspects that are evaluated are related to the material aspects, learning aspects, aspects of the appearance, and operation of the application. The average of all assessments that have been done by experts and students are as follows: 1. Material aspects 85.10%, 2. Learning aspects 87.15%, 3. Display aspects 83.15%, 4. Aspects of application operation 86.51%. The conclusion obtained from these results is the average of the total ratings obtained from the application is 85.47% which shows that this application is suitable for use in economic learning activities.DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v13i22020p94

Abstract

Since the implementation of the lockdown (PSBB) policy in Indonesia, the student learning process in all levels of education in Indonesia have been carried out online. This has also been the case at the Business and Economic Faculty of Asia Institute, Malang. All of the students had to study from home (SFH) and interact with lecturers using online media such as Google Classroom, WhatsApp Group, Google Meet, Zoom and even application such as Discord using a laptop or a smartphone. Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic became the only option to continue learning. Interestingly, online learning asserts high student independence. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of online learning on students’ motivation and (learning) independence in the Faculty of Business and Economics of Asia Institute of Technology and Business, Malang. A total of 701 students were selected as respondents using simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through 5-point Likert scale questionnaires, then processed and analyzed using SEM-PLS analysis with SmartPLS 3.3.2 software. The results showed that both motivation and learning facilities were positively and significantly effected on student learning independence. The higher the motivation and the more complete, effective, and quality learning facilities, the higher the student's learning independence is. The main obstacle in the learning process is the lack of internet connection/ data signals in several areas where students live, which makes online lectures laggard and less attractive. It is suggested for further research to investigate and analyze the mediating role of motivation in the relationship between learning facilities and student learning independence.DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v14i12021p25

Abstract

The development research produced a scientific approach textbook on the subject of Sharia Financial Instution Services based on QR Code and integrated kahoot for student XI class in semester I of sharia banking expertise. The purpose of study is to determine the development process of textbook, the feasibility of textbook dnd students responses of textbook wich is using BSNP standard. The 4-D model (Define, Design, Develope, Disseminate) from Thiagarajan was used as a development model of textbook. The results of the feasibility of islamic financial instution service textbook show an average material, language and graphic worth of 86,72% with very valid criteria. The result of product trial showed a precentage of 95,6% with veriy valid criteria. Thus, Sharia Financial Instution Service textbook is declared to be very valid and can be used in the learning process.DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v13i22020p84

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 1) Analyze the appropriate form of economic learning for generation Z; 2) Describe the appropriate learning techniques in the pandemic era for generation Z; 3) Compare the economic learning patterns before and after the Covid 19 pandemic;. The research method used is qualitative, with a descriptive approach using case studies in junior high schools (SMP), high schools (SMA) and universities in East Java province. The results show that 1) the right form of learning in generation Z is learning that utilizes digital technology whether it is carried out online, offline or blended learning. 2) Learning techniques in the pandemic era for generation Z are through recording, individual assignments ( self observation), projects / works, quizzes, live books, and group assignments. 3) Comparison of economic learning before the pandemic was carried out directly, while online-based economic learning after the Covid 19 pandemic was mostly conducted through the Learning Management System (LMS) and video conferencing. DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v14i12021p86

Abstract

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, learning was carried out online (online). With online learning, students are required to be independent and learn. Increasing independent learning can be done using Blended Learning. This learning concept is learning designed by combining offline and online learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by providing an open survey to respondents who are participants of the course. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the principal's transformational leadership style on work motivation; the influence of the principal's transformational leadership style on teacher competence; and the effect of work motivation on teacher competence. The purpose of the study was made because based on facts about teacher competence, because some teachers in SMK in the outskirts of Tulungagung Regency have low competency, such as teachers in making lesson plans less accurate and still having difficulty in implementing the 2013 curriculum.This research method uses quantitative research methods with a population of 230 teachers. The sampling technique uses a random sampling of 200 teachers. Variables consist of the principal's transformational leadership style (X1), work motivation (X2), and teacher competency (X3). Data collection using documents and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that: the transformational leadership style of the principal had a significant positive effect on work motivation shows a probability value of 0,000 below the p value of 0.05; the transformational leadership style of the principal does not have a significant positive effect on teacher competency, indicating a probability value of 0.296 above a p value of 0.05; Work motivation has a significant positive effect on teacher competency showing a probability value of 0,000 below the p value of 0.05. DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v14i12020p37

Abstract

The research aims to analyze whether there is an influence of understanding taxation, intensity of assignment, and study habits on tax accounting learning outcomesby  partial, to analyzy whether there is an influence of understanding taxation, intensity of assignment, and study habits on tax accounting learning outcomes partially moderated by learning motivation variables. The type of research is quantitative research. The sampling technique used purposive sampling  with a total of 176 respondents. Data collection techniques using and documentation and questionnaire. The data analysis technique use SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysiswith WarpPLS approach. The results showed that understanding of taxation, intensity of assignments and habits had a significant effect on tax accounting learning outcomes partially. Learning motivation is a moderating variable of understanding taxation on tax accounting learning outcomes. Learning motivation is not a moderating variable of the intensity of assignments to tax accounting learning outcomes. Abstract

Autoplay Media Studio 8 software aims to create an interactive learning media by using a presentation integrated with video, sound, images, flash, and text on the basic competencies of Goods and Services Marketing Strategy Implementers. The goal author aims by conducting this research is to ascertain the feasibility of learning media as a marketing subject for class X students of online business and marketing. Method used for this research is development model Research and Development which also commonly known as educational research and development. Several steps included within research and development method are recognizing problems and potential, data collection, designing product, designing validation, designing revision, testing product in trial, producing revision, user trial, product revision, and mass product. To validate data for this questionnaire, the author used Likert scale. The research shows a sign that the development of instructional media got positive results.
