Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of halal product marketing among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Sidoarjo Regency through the implementation of digital strategies based on Islamic economic principles. The background of this research lies in the rapid growth of the halal industry in Indonesia and the crucial role of UMKM in supporting local economic development. However, the adoption of sharia-compliant digital marketing still faces several obstacles, including limited digital literacy and a lack of understanding of Islamic principles in marketing practices. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with purposive sampling to determine informants, specifically halal UMKM actors who have utilized digital media for at least six months. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of digital marketing activities. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques, consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was ensured through triangulation and the application of trustworthiness criteria. The findings reveal that most halal UMKM in Sidoarjo have used social media and marketplaces as their main promotional tools. The application of Islamic economic principles such as honesty, trustworthiness, and transparency has begun to be integrated, although not yet systematically structured within digital strategies. The main challenges include limited knowledge of sharia-based digital marketing, human resource constraints, and the lack of training and mentoring. Nevertheless, digital marketing has proven to increase sales, expand market reach, and strengthen the halal image of products. This study proposes a halal digital marketing strategy model emphasizing trading as an act of worship, product information transparency, Islamic content, halal payment systems, and consistent service.

Abstract

The sukuk market in Indonesia has shown significant growth in recent decades. This study focuses on analyzing the effect of the Current Ratio (CR) and Sukuk to Equity Ratio (SER) on Return on Assets (ROA) in companies that issue Sukuk Ijarah. This study uses a quantitative approach and documentation method with panel data regression on 12 companies that issued sukuk ijarah during the period 2017–2024. The estimation model used is the Common Effect Model. Classical assumption tests were conducted, including multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity tests, which showed that there were no indications of multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity, so that regression analysis could be performed. The t-test results indicate that the Sukuk to Equity Ratio has no significant partial effect, while the Current Ratio has a negative and significant effect on ROA. This indicates that an increase in the Current Ratio will be followed by a decline in company profitability. However, based on the F test, both variables have a simultaneous effect on ROA. The coefficient of determination (R²) value shows that the model is able to explain 7.95% of the variation in ROA, while the rest is explained by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development, challenges, and prospects of Islamic banking law in the digital era with a focus on legal certainty, data security, and Islamic digital literacy. This study uses a qualitative design with a case study approach on Islamic banks in Indonesia. The research setting was conducted in Jakarta as the center of Islamic banking regulation and practice. The research population included Islamic banking practitioners, regulators, and customers, while the sample was selected purposively. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, document studies, and observations. The results show that Islamic banking regulations have undergone positive developments through the support of the OJK and DSN-MUI for the digitization of services. However, there are still major challenges in the form of unclear regulations on digital contracts, high cybercrime risks with an average of 120 attacks per month, and low Islamic digital literacy. On the other hand, the prospects for digital Islamic banking are very promising, supported by more than 196 million internet users in Indonesia. Thus, the success of the transformation of Islamic banking law in the digital era is highly dependent on the synergy of regulations, literacy, and the strengthening of security infrastructure.

Abstract

Monetary transmission is aimed to stabilize prices and to increase output in the long run. This study compares the effectiveness of transmission of conventional and Islamic banking loans in Indonesia to the consumer price index (CPI) and industrial production index (IPI), to find out which transmission is more effective and the direction of its influence, and to see the role of credit interest rates or its equivalent to the amount of credit or financing as the most important variable in transmission, to test the authenticity of Islamic banks in relation to interest rates. Secondary data used is sourced from Bank Indonesia, Federal Reserve Economic Data, OJK, BPS, and BIS, by using the quantitative Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method with the period of January 2009 – December 2017. The results of the study show that the transmission of conventional bank credit is more effective in influencing the monetary end target. Meanwhile, Islamic banks are actually more responsive than conventional banks towards increasing interest rates or their equivalent in the decision to grant financing, so it can be concluded that Islamic banking faces a higher risk of fluctuations in interest rates.

Abstract

The Islamic capital market in Indonesia has experienced significant development since its official establishment in 2003. Digital transformation has been a key factor in driving this market's growth by expanding investor access and improving transaction efficiency and transparency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a literature review method that analyzed various secondary sources, such as scientific journals, Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations, fatwas from the National Sharia Council (DSN-MUI), and official documents related to the Islamic capital market. The results show that digitalization has significantly contributed to strengthening financial inclusion and Sharia-based supervision of Islamic stocks, sukuk, and mutual funds. Despite challenges such as low financial literacy and the need for regulatory standardization, digitalization opens up opportunities for inclusive and sustainable growth in the Islamic capital market. This study proposes strategic recommendations to strengthen synergy between the government, regulators, and market players in building a Sharia capital market ecosystem in the digital era.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently in an era of demographic dividend, which is expected to peak in 2035, when the majority of the population will be of productive age. This bonus is both an opportunity and a challenge, especially in the context of human development. This study aims to analyze the influence of five elements of Maqasid Shariah, namely Hifdz Ad-Din, Hifdz An-Nafs, Hifdz Al-Aql, Hifdz An-Nashl, and Hifdz Al-Mal on the Human Development Index (HDI) in 36 districts/cities in East Java in the period 2016-2020. Using panel data analysis and fixed effect model (FEM) method, the study found that Hifdz An-Nafs (health budget) and Hifdz An-Nashl (total population) have a significant positive effect on increasing HDI, while Hifdz Al-Aql (education budget) and Hifdz Al-Mal (GRDP per capita) have a positive but insignificant effect. On the other hand, Hifdz Ad-Din has a significant negative effect on HDI, indicating that increasing crime rates have an impact on reducing HDI. This research provides new insights into the integration of Sharia values into development strategies to create sustainable material and spiritual well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation strategy of mosque-based Islamic financial innovations to improve the welfare of rural communities In Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, to obtain a systematic and comprehensive understanding. The results indicate that mosque-based Islamic financial innovations have significant potential as instruments for village economic empowerment. Various forms, such as mosque-based Islamic financial institutions (BMT), productive waqf, Islamic cooperatives, and the establishment of mosque-based Islamic Microfinance Institutions (LKMS), have been proven to improve community welfare by strengthening access to financing, creating jobs, and developing micro-enterprises. A key finding of this study is that program sustainability is largely determined by the existence of regular evaluation and monitoring mechanisms, active community participation, and strong regulatory support. Therefore, mosque-based Islamic financial innovations have the potential to become an alternative model for inclusive, equitable, and sharia-compliant village economic development.
