Abstract

Humans as social beings in essence need someone's help in working for their own interests. As a reward for someone's work, workers are given wages (ujrah) . The moral concept in determining worldly wages will result in the achievement of uhkrawih wages . However, currently the capitalist wage system is often applied in economic life rather than the Islamic economic system, so that the meaning of wages and the mechanics of wages and matters related to wages in Islamic economics are important to understand in depth. The research method used is literature. The results of the study through the thematic interpretation approach state that the word " ajru" can mean reward, " ajru" can mean reward and also “ ajru” can mean dowry (dowry). Giving Ujrah (wages) is not only meant between workers and employers who have a contract, but wages are also given by a husband to a wife who has been divorced if the wife is breastfeeding. In this case the position of the husband as the owner of capital ( musta'jir ), and the wife as a worker ( ajir ). Islam asks employers to pay workers a fair wage and provide workers with facilities.

Abstract

Analysis of pre-mergers is important to do as an effort for Islamic banks to increase competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the determinants of the efficiency of pre-merger Islamic banking in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative research design through the two-stage banking data envelopment analysis (DEA) model. The input variables for the first stage are third party funds (DPK), operational costs (BIOP), total financing (TFIN), and the output variables are operating income (PENDOP), total assets (TASSET). Then in the second stage with multivariate tobit regression, using the dependent variable the efficiency score obtained through the results of the first stage and in the first model the independent variables are total assets, bank size, ROA, NPF, CAR and then measurements are made on additional Covid-19 controls for the second model. The results showed that total assets, bank size, ROA, and CAR significantly affected efficiency scores. NPF has no significant effect. The second model with the Covid-19 control variable produced a more substantial empirical model influence than non-control Covid-19. Overall, the performance of Islamic commercial banks increased until the fourth quarter of 2020, seen from the improving quality of financing, which was also marked by the decline in NPF and quite good intermediation. Limitations of this study include the limited update of the Covid-19 control data.

Abstract

The development of technology has shifted the pattern of forex transactions from corporate to retail, currently the interest of the Indonesian people is quite high in forex investment, but on the other hand there are also many investors who have failed, this article aims to find out how high the risk of investing through online forex applications. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method, by conducting a literature review of various articles searched through published and perished applications, Google Scholar, and Google, the result obtained is that forex transactions have a very high risk, the majority of investors, especially beginners, fail in this business, besides that from the sharia side, forex transactions are only allowed to be limited to spot transactions and forward agreements, While transactions made on online applications are not intended for such transactions, so what is transacted in online forex applications is most likely an illegitimate transaction, besides that the investor's purpose is only to take advantage of the difference in value, not for the purpose of foreign trade, forex transactions on this online application are more speculation based on possible possibilities so that these activities can be categorized as usury and gambling, The high interest of the public, including Muslims, in online forex transactions is due to the high possibility of profits that can be obtained, and the lack of risk accountability, this happens due to the lack of level of knowledge related to Islamic risks and financial literacy, especially in the field of forex.
