Islamic syaria teaches the procedure of muamalah in several forms of contracts, one of which is the musharaka contract. The practice of Muamalah-Musyarakah contracts was used in the Islamic financial prosperity is very advanced but Islamic banking does not exist, even though there are many government-owned banks that have long been established. The purpose of this study was to determine the development strategy, opportunities and challenges of establishing a sharia bank in Toba Regency . The research approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, with a SWOT analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the strategy of developing Islamic banks in the autonomous region of Toba Regency increases the promotion and socialization of Islamic bank products. The opportunity to establish a sharia bank in the autonomous region of Toba Regency, has a large enough opportunity as evidenced by the Banking Law & MUI Fatwa, the MUI fatwa on usury shows that the Banking Law and MUI Fatwa can influence and encourage prospective customers to trust funds in Islamic banks. The challenges of establishing a sharia bank in the autonomous region of Toba Regency, namely the conventional system and other financial institutions that are more developed, make it a challenge for the development of sharia banks in Toba Regency, as well as the lack of promotion or socialization of Islamic financial institutions in Toba Regency, because the community has never been in direct contact with the bank Syariah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the assumptions of Islamicus' ideas (theories/concepts) in the context of modern society's behavior which undergoes many changes in preferences which are not adequately described by Homo Economicus which negates morals in conception and makes Self Interest as the goal of maximizing utility. The idea of Homo Islamicus allows it to be collided with modern conditions to find assumptions that are in accordance with the realities that exist in the context of the modern economy. The research uses a literature study (Libarary Research), using Content Analysis as a data analysis tool. This study shows that the idea of Homo Islamicus internalizes the moral and rational portion at a proportional level, oriented to the benefit of the general public which is balanced with the interests of Daruriat Nafsh guided by religious morals. The rational choices made by Homo Islamicus reflect a moral attitude that applies basic axiom values and principles in the form of Tawhid, Equilibrium, Free Will, Respontability, and Justice which makes decisions about the best choices without ignoring existing values. Thus, morality becomes the rail (track) of the rules of the game from rationality in making a choice in the modern Islamic economic arena

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the dynamic relationship of foreign capital flows, the rupiah exchange rate and the movement of the JII 30 index. The type of research used is quantitative research with the Autoregressive vector analysis (VAR) method using daily time series data for the period March-December 2019 to March-December. 2020 with the help of the eviews 9. Data collection was carried out using secondary data in the form of published reports from websites related to research. The population of this study are companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). The sampling technique used in this research is the saturated sample technique. The number of companies that were sampled in this study were 30 companies. Granger causality test results show that the variable of foreign capital flows has a one-way relationship with the rupiah exchange rate, where foreign capital flows affect the rupiah exchange rate in Indonesia. Then the variable of foreign capital flows also has a one-way relationship with the JII 30 movement index. Where foreign capital flows affect the JII 30 movement index, as well as the rupiah exchange rate variable has a one-way relationship with the JII 30 movement index. Where the JII 30 index affects the exchange rate. rupiah. The results of another study using the cointegration test show that the variables of foreign capital flows, the rupiah exchange rate and the JII 30 movement index have a long-term equilibrium relationship. Foreign capital flows and the rupiah exchange rate before and before covid 19 did not affect each other, while the rupiah exchange rate before and before covid 19 affected the JII 30 index.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of Financing to Deposit Ratio and Operational Efficiency on Profitability (ROA) with Non Performing Financing (NPF) as Intervening in Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Research that allows statistical calculations to use numerical data, and is used as a data analysis tool by describing the data collected to finally reach a conclusion. The type of data used in this study is secondary data which is a monthly series of data with a time period of 2015-2021. The data used are financial ratio data provided by Statistics Indonesia Islamic Commercial Banks which include the ratio of Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), and Operational Efficiency, Return on Assets (ROA) and Non Performing Financing (NPF). Data collection techniques in this study by utilizing field studies. The variables used by the researcher are independent variables which include the ratio of FDR (X1) and Operating Expenses and Operating Income (X2), the dependent variable which includes the ratio of ROA and the intervening variable which includes the ratio of NPF. The data analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to determine the linear relationship between several independent variables (X) and the dependent variable (Y). While the path analysis method is a causality analysis that occurs when exogenous variables directly or indirectly affect endogenous variables. The results showed that partially the FDR and Operational Efficiency variables had an influence on the NPF variable. In addition, only and Operational Efficiency and NPF variables partially have an effect on ROA. Based on the results of the path analysis test, it can be explained that only the Operating Cost of Operating Income (X2) has an indirect effect on Return on Assets (Y) through NPF (Z). That is, the NPF variable is able to mediate the relationship between Operational Costs of Operating Income and Return on Assets.

Abstract

This article is meaned to analyze the factors of service quality, product quality and promotion of the choice as a sharia bank customer by combining the moderating variable, namely religiosity. The research population is the customer of Bank Syariah Indonesia in the city of Medan. Determination of the sample is done by random method and set the number of only 100 people because of the large population, the range is too wide and the population is uniform so that it can be represented by others. The instrument of data collection was done by distributing questionnaires. Furthermore, data analysis with SEM-PLS. The results showed that service quality, product quality and promotion had a significant effect on the decision to become a customer of a sharia bank but religiosity was not able to moderate services, products and promotions on the decision to become a customer. The level of religiosity of Muslims is not an indicator for choosing to become a customer of a sharia bank. The implication of this research is that policies on Islamic banking continue to improve service quality because all banking customers without being influenced by religiosity are very happy to get the best service from banks. Islamic banks must continue to innovate on Islamic bank products that can make it easier for customers to transact regardless of customer religiosity. Islamic banks must continue to carry out best promotions to all public.

Abstract

Pawn gold is a financial service product that is an alternative for the public to get funds. For a Muslim, a good gold pawn is sharia-compliant where this is possible in Islamic financial institutions. This study aims to determine the implementation of pawning gold in Islamic Banks and Sharia Pawnshops based on Abu Syuja's perspective as stated in his work, namely Matan Ghayah wa Taqrib (Kitab Fathul Qarib). This study uses a qualitative approach, with field data and literature analysis as supporting data. The primary data used in this study is data that describes the practice of pawning Islamic gold in Islamic banks and Islamic pawnshops. The secondary data used is derived from various theoretical literatures and previous research that is used to support the analysis of this research study. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the gold pawn in Islamic banks and Islamic pawnshops is based on the rahn contract as one of the foundations of the contract. There has been a match between the implementation of the gold pawn in Islamic banks and the sharia pawnshop with the pillars and conditions of rahn according to Abu Syuja's perspective. In gold pawning, rahin is a customer who pawns his gold to obtain a certain amount of funds. Murtahin is a Sharia Bank or Sharia Pawnshop. Marhun is gold in the form of gold bars, jewelry, and dinar coins. Marhun bih is the amount of funds obtained by rahin from the murtahin. The ijab qabul is a contract agreement that marks the occurrence of a gold pawn transaction between rahin and murtahin. All the pillars of the pawn exist and have been fulfilled in the implementation of the gold pawn in the Islamic Bank and in the Sharia Pawnshop.
