Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions. Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession. Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice. Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works. Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

<![CDATA[The attitude of leadership is an absolute thing inherent in a leader in an educational institution. This is because leaders are responsible for facilitating the development of human resources (HR) towards superior and complete people in the future. This study aims to analyze ability leadership in Islamic educational institutions. The background of this research is focused on 3 (three) units of Islamic educational institutions, namely MIN 1 Sahadabuan, MTsN 1 Padangsidimpuan Model, and MAN 2 Padangsidimpuan Model. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analytical study method. Where the researcher seeks to reveal the facts in the phenomenon of the leadership of the 3 (three) institutions. The results of this study indicate that the Head of Madrasah has the same goal as the institution he leads, namely improving the quality of service and the quality of madrasas. The forms of ability leadership shown by the madrasa principal are (1) managerial skills including; implementing madrasa work programs, improving the quality and performance of teachers by involving teachers in education and training (training) and workshops, managing the rooms and offices of the teacher council; (2) Academic skills, including: providing opportunities for teachers to continue their studies (master and doctoral), providing general guidelines and services for teacher needs (administrative and academic), and carrying out academic supervision, and (3) communication skills, including: involving: teachers in decision-making efforts, appreciating teacher performance, providing motivation and advice to teachers collectively every month, forming a sense of kinship in madrasas. In addition, the madrasa head also seeks to function the madrasa environment as a Joint Learning Resource Center (PSBB).]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to identify the embodiment of cultural values in English textbooks for junior high school students. This research used a qualitative approach with a content analysis method. The research data was in the form of a collection of discourse texts in the form of monologues, dialogues and exercises. The data were taken from two books entitled Scaffolding and In Focus, published by the Book Center of the Ministry of National Education. It is grade X. The data analysis procedure used in this research was qualitative content analysis. The process of validity was done through credibility, transferability, triangulation, dependability, and confirmability. The results showed that the dominant cultural value was the optimistic value of 43%. Then followed by the brotherhood value of 23.80%, the social value of 19% and the freedom value of 14%. Each cultural value found also describes some more specific values. The value of freedom contains character values, namely the value of independence and hard work. The value of brotherhood contains character values, namely friendliness and responsible; the optimistic value contains character values, namely courage, creativity, discipline, and curiosity, and social values contain character values, namely cooperation. This study concluded that English textbooks had the important value of increasing students’ character as cultural values.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effectiveness of online learning through WhatsApp groups at an elementary school in Jaten. This study is a qualitative study that analyzes online learning conducted through WhatsApp groups. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses interactive data analysis, including data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results show that online learning through WhatsApp groups is less effective in achieving learning objectives. This is due to various factors, including 1) Students do not all have cellphones, and there are still many working parents. As a result, students have to wait for their parents to come home first. 2) Students have difficulty in doing assignments. 3) Less effective in increasing the learning independence of students. 4) Lack of captured material. 5) Students have difficulty in doing assignments. 6) Parents complain because of difficulties in explaining the learning material.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was motivated by the use of media in learning. The purpose of this study was to describe anxiety in the novel Women's Room by Agus Subakir and Beauty is Wounded by Eka Kurniawan in terms of form, causes, and implementation in Indonesian language learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method, with a literature review approach. The data sources of this research are in the form of words, phrases, and sentences related to the implementation of Indonesian language learning contained in the two novels. Data collection techniques used reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate that both novels emphasize the desire to gain a sense of security, get out of anxiety, and find peace. Likewise with the implementation of Indonesian language learning which expects a conducive learning situation so that students feel safe and comfortable with the way the teacher does learning in class.]]>

<![CDATA[Teachers are one of the main factors for success in education. The teacher is an agent of change to students. The purpose of this study is to use a literature review approach to gain insight into the systematic mapping review for the article under consideration. A literature review, one of the main reasons for the importance of a professional teacher who becomes an agent of change for his students. Methods in this study using the literature review method by searching various sources from Google Scholar, Scopus, WOS and also Erics. The results of this study are that being a professional teacher is required. The teacher's professional attitude is manifested in the form of being able to control oneself, which is expressed through a spiritual mental attitude, so that he always acts based on moral values, principles of life, and behaves religiously in accordance with his religion and belief in carrying out his duties.]]>

<![CDATA[This research explains that since Indonesia's establishment, Pesantren has demonstrated its ability to adapt to changing educational models as the embryo of the education model. During the transition of the educational model, this institution served as a grass-roots institution that provided basic education to people at all levels. Pesantren is competitive in assuring the development of a model of the education system that competes with the numerous models offered by other modern educational institutions. The Pesantren transformation model was examined using qualitative analysis in this study. Concrete data demonstrates that Pesantren as an Islamic institution has matured, with a wide range of options that contribute to the creation of pesantren's basic values as the spirit and culture of Indonesia. The result revealed that Pesantren, an Islamic educational institution, was developed and capable of competing in the face of education transformation needs.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to develop an e-worksheet on learning and teaching economics using the android educapps application. The method used was research and development through the ADDIE model. The data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documents. The implementation of the product trial was carried out at State Senior High School 2 Kendari with 50 students. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively through the results of assessments from experts, the results of product trials and the use of t-tests on the assessment of the results of electronic worksheets that had been done by students during the large product test. The results of the product assessment showed that 89.14% of all aspects of the e-worksheet have been feasible, and this percentage was the very good category. The assessment of IT experts showed that aspects of software engineering and aspects of visual communication received a score of 79.94%. The results of the material expert assessment concluded that all aspects of content feasibility, presentation feasibility aspects and language assessment aspects received a score of 91.5%. Based on this assessment, the educapps application was declared eligible as an economics learning e-worksheet for class XI at State Senior High School 2 Kendari. The results of the study have implications for teachers' understanding of the development of e-worksheets and teaching materials that can be harmonized with technological developments so that learning can be in accordance with the needs of today's global education.]]>

<![CDATA[This research discusses the inter collaboration between scouting activities and civic learning outcomes for students at SMP Negeri 2 Polewali Mandar, which is known based on the observations of students on the learning outcomes of Pancasila and civic education, which are classified as a low category. Therefore, through scouting activities to train talents, social interaction, build social communities in learning, self-confidence and independence in learning, and determine their destiny, Scout activities aim to help reduce learning difficulties, which, of course, affect the learning outcomes studied in this study. Talents honed through scouting activities can improve student learning outcomes in the Civics subjects contained in this study. This study aims to answer the question: what is the relationship between scout activities and civic learning outcomes for grade IX students? This research method uses quantitative methods. The population of this study was grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Polewali Mandar, totalling 201 students, consisting of 7 groups. The sampling technique used a random sampling system, with the research sample totalling 29 students. The research instruments were observation, civics learning outcomes, and the value of Scouting activities. Data collection is done by reducing information, displaying information, verifying, and concluding. Information collected through learning outcomes and scout activities was then analyzed using the SPSS 2.0 application. The results showed that there was a relationship between scout activities and learning outcomes. Data analysis was carried out using inferential statistical analysis techniques, namely correlation analysis. The results showed that there was a relationship between scout activities and learning outcomes as measured by r table 0.03 and r arithmetic 0.529. This proves significantly that Ha is accepted. So it can be said that the intercollaboration of scouting activities followed by students has a positive relationship with civic learning outcomes.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to find a valid and effective model for introducing the field of transformative education. The research method used is Research and Development. To obtain initial data related to the focus of this analysis, the researchers conducted interviews and documentation studies to: (1) 5 students randomly selected who had followed the PPL which were seen from the background of the study program, motivation, goals and expectations for joining the PLP-PSP. ; (2) 2 supervising lecturers and PLP-PSP civil servant teachers; (3) the head of the study program; (4) deputy dean I as deputy dean for academics; and (5) documentation study of PLP-PSP documents and literature related to PLP-PSP. Validation, evaluation, and revision are carried out to obtain clarity, material quality and attractiveness of the resulting product. The results of this study conclude that the model of teaching materials designed meets the correct procedures and is feasible to use.]]>

<![CDATA[Building a motivating environment can be an organization's most significant challenge because a motivated, satisfied, and committed workforce is harder to find and create. It keeps leaders in an organization evaluating, experimenting, and adapting to different people, including their behaviours, attitudes, personalities and cultures, traditions, habits, and experiences. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of transformational leadership style and compensation on teacher performance through work motivation at a private madrasah Aliyah in Buru Regency. The descriptive and verification method with a quantitative research approach is used—sampling using the purposive sampling technique, with a sample of 41 teachers. Sources of data used in the study are primary data and secondary data. The study's results indicate that transformational leadership influences work motivation and teacher performance. Likewise, compensation directly influences the motivation and performance of Madrasah Aliyah Alhilaal Namlea Buru Regency teachers. The results of the Sobel test calculator calculation show an indirect effect of transformational leadership on teacher performance through work motivation. Likewise, compensation also has an indirect impact on teacher performance through work motivation. So it can be concluded that work motivation can mediate the relationship between balance and teacher performance at Madrasah Aliyah inBuru Regency. The results of this study can also be used for researchers and further researchers as well as parties who need it as a source of reference and valuable information in adding to the reader's insight]]>
