Abstract

Character education is an important issue that is of concern to various groups, especially in the field of Islamic education. This is because character education is often understood the same as moral education as a very important material in Islamic education. As for character education in Indonesia, besides making religion a source of values (Core ethical values), it also has a state philosophy (Pancasila) as the basis for character education. Therefore, it is necessary to have a clear concept of character education based on state philosophy in the context of Islamic education so that it can be implemented synergistically. The current trend shows a shift in the philosophical values of the Indonesian State (Pancasila), which can be seen in the decline in the quality of the character of the Indonesian people. On the other hand, Islamic education also has a responsibility to maintain and improve the moral quality of students. Therefore, it is important to strive for an understanding of the philosophical values of the state in the context of Islamic education, especially among the younger generation. On the basis of these objectives, through a study of various relevant literatures with analytical descriptive techniques, this study was conducted to analyze how character education is based on state philosophy in the context of Islamic education. The results of the study prove that there is no Pancasila ideology that is contrary to Islamic values. All Pancasila ideologies form a perfect Islam, especially in socializing.

Teachers can develop their professionalism in creating and developing online media in learning during COVID-19 pandemic. In conclusion, the COVID-19 pandemic provides new TPD opportunities for teachers and expands their understanding of internet technology and promote collaboration among teachers. However, further research should be conducted to address teachers' professional development in a deeper and broader perspective in Indonesia. It is expected to cover wider areas of teachers from different institution including higher education institutions. In order that we can learn about the types of TPD activities that may be done remotely during the pandemic from many perspectives.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that is full of challenges and practical tasks that students must be able to do, this of course must be in line with the availability of various appropriate and innovative learning tools and resources which can then be used by students to deepen the material. Through research that aims to develop an interactive multimedia, it is hoped that it can become one of the appropriate learning media for students to use. This type of research is a Research and Development (RnD) method that adopts a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), with a focus on extracting data on Development (D) which contains an assessment of the feasibility of media products, with data collection techniques, namely non- test through a questionnaire, accompanied by a questionnaire instrument validation sheet. The data will be analyzed descriptively using percentage conversion in order to describe the feasibility of multimedia products. The results show that interactive multimedia that has gone through an assessment process from each evaluator with details, namely the assessment of media experts 90.1%, material expert assessments 83.3%, linguistic experts assessment 98%, media developer assessments 89.9% and assessment of elementary school teachers 97%. Through the results of the assessment, it can be concluded that the product of innovation in the form of interactive multimedia for learning in elementary schools is included in the category suitable for use as learning media

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on education, especially learning methods that must be carried out online. The online learning method also applies to Architecture and Interior Design students in the planning and design studio lecture activities, which were initially carried out offline in the studio and now have to be carried out online from their respective homes. Various obstacles faced in architectural and interior planning and design studio lectures require students to adapt virtually and digitally. Visually and digitally, there are many limitations, both from using technological devices to the facilities owned by lecturers and students. The study used a qualitative descriptive method, searching for data through questionnaires with the respondents being students of architecture and interior design. The study results found that the adaptation of online lectures is not only a virtual and digital problem but includes physical and non-physical problems. Virtual and digital transformations affect the process and quality of learning outcomes for architectural and interior planning and design studio courses. Physical adaptation requires supporting facilities in the form of tools and equipment to assist studio lectures. Non-physically is an adaptation to changes in time, patterns and methodologies of learning, behaviour, psychology, and the internet network. Behavioural and psychological adaptations and perceptions need more in-depth research in future studies.

Abstract

This study's overarching goal is to ascertain whether or not the discovery learning paradigm may improve democratic traits and academic performance. In this study, action research was conducted in the classroom over the course of two cycles. Rural primary schools in Sidoarjo were the focus of this study. Data on learning outcomes were collected using a questionnaire, and data on democratic character value was collected by a test of learning outcomes administered at the end of each cycle. This study made use of descriptive statistics for its analysis of data. Class IV students' learning outcomes and their appreciation for democratic principles both improve with the implementation of this discovery learning paradigm. The calculated mean shows the answer. Over and above the researcher-determined KKM of 75.0, students' democratic character is typically valued at 57.0 after the first cycle, 63.23 after the second, and 77.14 after the third. In addition, the researcher finds that the average value of student learning outcomes rises from 78.0 in the first cycle to 80.47 in the second cycle to 89.04 in the third cycle, all while remaining above the KKM, which is 85.0. The quality of democracy and educational outcomes for students can both benefit from the use of the discovery learning approach.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on various educational activities. Routine activities carried out were forced to switch digitally using internet facilities, including student research activities. Quality research affects the improvement of the quality of education. This study aims to determine the characteristics of biology education carried out by final year students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The survey method was used in the research with the instrument in the form of a questionnaire sheet with semi-open questions. The results showed that biology education research carried out during the pandemic mostly used descriptive and quasi-experimental methods. There are meta-analytical research methods from international journals with PRISMA guidelines and literature studies with scoping review techniques that are relatively new by students. A total of 71.9% of the study used a sample of students at the high school and college level. As many as 76% of research data were obtained online, 19% of research activities were blended, and only about 5% of students obtained research data offline. Constraints experienced by students during research are: 1) Internet network is not stable, 2) students are difficult to be asked to turn on the camera in the data collection process, 3) it is relatively difficult to collect respondent responses in online questionnaires, 4) constrained by research time due to the large number of school holidays, 5) online communication becomes an obstacle in conducting research guidance.

Abstract

The issue in this study is the low student learning outcomes, particularly in the method of underpassing volleyball. According to the findings of the researchers' observations, the poor motivation of students when participating in learning has an effect on their below-average KKM completeness score. This study used classroom action research, which consists of two cycles with four stages of action: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. 32 students from only one class participated in this study. This study's data collection instrument consisted of teacher and student observation sheets as well as a grid-based assessment instrument for the movement process containing beginning attitude stages, implementation attitudes, and final attitudes. Using the playing approach, students' volleyball under-passing skills improve, with pre-cycle mastery only reaching 25%, cycle I increasing to 63%, and cycle 2 increasing to 78%. Thus, it can be stated that a Ketapang senior high school's volleyball under-passing talents can be enhanced by employing the playing approach.
