Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

Dalam mengajar, guru harus mempunyai strategi-strategi sebagai upaya untuk membantu siswa memahami dan mengerti tentang pelajaran yang mereka pelajari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek strategi STAD terhadap pemahaman siswa dalam membaca teks berbahasa Inggris.Untuk mendapatkan informasi dalam sebuah teks tidak cukup hanya dengan mengetahui arti kata yang digunakan dalam sebuah teks tetapi siswa harus memiliki kemampuan untuk memahami isi atau makna yang terkandung dalam sebuah teks sehingga mereka dapat memperoleh informasi-informasi yang terkandung dalam setiap teks yang mereka baca.Oleh karena itu dalam proses mengajar diperlukan strategi-strategi yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami teks dalam bahasa Inggris. Salah satu strategi yang yang dapat digunakan adalah strategi STAD. Strategi STAD ini dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami teks bahasa Inggris siswa kelas tujuh di Madrasah Aliyah Hubbulwathan Duri, setelah dilakukan penelitian dengan rancangan penelitian eksperimen dengan populasi sebanyak 30 orang siswa dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik populasi sampel. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat dilihat to lebih besar dari T table 2,05 2,36 2,76. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Ha diterima dalam artian bahwa strategi STAD efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa dikelas Eksperimen.In teaching process the teacher must used various strategies in order to make the students understand and comprehend the subject that they learned. One of the strategies that can be used especially in teaching reading is STAD. The study aimed to know The Effect of STAD Strategy toward Students’ Reading Comprehension. To get the information in the reading text the students must have ability to comprehend the text in order to get the meaning of the text because to get the information not enough if the students only knows about the vocabularies from the text that they read. In teaching reading the teacher needs strategies to increase students’reading comprehension in order to comprehend the English reading text. One of strategies than can be used is STAD strategy. This strategy can help to find out the effect of STAD strategy toward Students’ Reading Comprehension at the eleventh grade of Madrasah Aliyah Hubbulwathan Duri, after did the research with an experimental research design. The population of the reasearch are 30 students and the sample technique is whole sampling technique. The techniques of collecting data in this research are observation and test, and then to analyze the data obtained, the researcher used T-test From the data, it can be seen to is higher than t-table, it can be read that 2,05 2,36 2,76. It means Ha is accepted and STAD strategy effective to increase students’ reading comprehension in Experiment class.

This study aims to determine the students’ speaking skill before and after applying Guessing Game and find out the effect of Guessing Game on the students’ speaking skill at the first semester of English education study program of STAIN Bengkalis. This research is experimental research that involved 18 students at the first semester of English Education Study Program of STAIN Bengkalis. Speaking test was implemented in order to collect the students’ speaking performance, and the collected data were quantitatively analyzed. Guessing Game has a less significant effect in improving the students’ speaking skill at the first semester of English education study program of STAIN Bengkalis. This is evidenced by the results of t-o (1,3) smaller than t-table.

Media pembelajaran sangat penting dalam proses belajar mengajar. Media juga merupakan bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari proses belajar mengajar. Melalui media, pesan yang disampaikan oleh guru (sender) kepada murid/siswa (receiver) dapat diterima dengan baik. Apabila komunikasi telah terjadi dengan adanya reaksi umpan balik (feed back), maka proses belajar mengajar akan mampu mencapai tujuan pendidikan pada umumnya dan tujuan pembelajaran di sekolah khususnya.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi kecemasan siswa berbahasa Inggris; Penulis melakukan penelitian survei yang desain akan digunakan untuk menlihat tentang kecemasan siswa dalam berbahasa Inggris. penelitian ini di lakukan pada semester VI STAI Hubbulwathan pada bulan April sampai September. Masalah yang ditemukan di dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kecemasan mahasiswa untuk berbicara bahasa Inggris di dalam kelas. Untuk menjawab permasalahan penulis memberikan kuesioner dan wawancara untuk mengetahui adakah penyebab kecemasan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) siswa dapat berbicara bahasa Inggris di dalam kelas. (2) Para siswa mendapatkan informasi tentang masalah kecemasan mereka untuk berbicara bahasa Inggris di dalam kelas. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah guru dapat memberikan sebagai stimulus untuk merangsang motivasi siswa untuk terlibat dalam pelajaran. sehingga guru dapat mengembangkan kegiatan belajar yang menyenangkan dan mempromosikan siswa percaya diri.

Tujuan dari penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk mendapatkan jawaban apakah strategi Shared Writing ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa dalam menulis esai pendek dan faktor-faktor apa saja yang memengaruhi peningkatan tersebut. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari lima pertemuan. empat pertemuan untuk pembelajaran menulis esai pendek dengan menggunakan strategi Shared Writing dan satu pertemuan lagi untuk tes menulis esai pendek mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 17 September 2014 sampai 19 November 2014. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembaran observasi, catatan lapangan, interview, dan tes. Penerapan shared writing menunjukan adanya peningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa dalam menulis esai pendek. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan nilai mahasiswa. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada siklus 1 adalah 60,8 dan pada siklus 2 adalah 73,7. Kemudian, faktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa tersebut adalah bahan ajar yang menarik, strategi dosen, peranan dosen, interaksi antar mahasiswa dan latihan menulis mahasiswa dalam mengikuti semua prosedur pada strategi tersebut.The purpose of this classroom action research is to find out whether this Shared Writing Strategy can improve students' writing skills in short essay writing and to find out what factors influence the improvement. This classroom action research is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of five meetings. There are four meetings for short essay writing lessons using Shared Writing strategies and one more meeting for short essay writing tests. The research was conducted from 17 September 2014 to 19 November 2014. The research instruments used to collect data were observation sheets, field notes, interviews, and tests. The implementation of shared writing shows the improvement of students writing skills in short essay writing. It can be seen from the increase in students’ scores. The average score of students in cycle 1 was 60.8 and in cycle 2 was 73.7. Then, the factors that influence the student's ability improvement are interesting teaching materials, lecturer's strategy, lecturer's role, interaction between students and writing exercises of students in following all the procedures on the strategy

Artikel ini menunjukkan perolehan bahasa mengacu pada pengembangan bahasa kedua untuk anak-anak. Pembelajaran bahasa kedua adalah proses di mana seseorang belajar bahasa asing. Untuk perkembangan anak-anak, ada beberapa faktor yang memengaruhi perolehan bahasa kedua. Selain bahasa mereka sendiri, anak-anak belajar dari produksi perolehan bahasa dan menggunakan konteks dan semantik. Faktor-faktor lain juga penting, seperti kompetensi guru dan bahasa ibu. Artikel ini pertama mendefinisikan konsep produksi perolehan bahasa. Ini diikuti oleh tahap-tahap dalam perkembangan yang memberi dorongan bagi anak-anak. Bagian kedua dari artikel ini menggunakan konteks dan semantik. Pengalaman ini dianalisis anak-anak untuk mulai menggunakan bahasa baru. Kemudian, mereka mulai menghasilkan kalimat sederhana dengan spontan dan komposisi, dan tidak dapat secara harfiah membuat suatu aturan tata bahasa sebelum kata yang melakukan tindakan. Faktor ketiga adalah kompetensi guru. Guru juga diharapkan untuk mengajar secara struktural dan gramatikal, dan harus mampu menciptakan instruksi pusat pembelajar. Bagian keempat adalah bahasa ibu. Orang tua juga bagian dari memodifikasi kata-kata anak mereka ketika mereka dimasa anak-anak. Itu pastinya membantu anak-anak ketika orang tua berbicara kepada anak-anak dengan baik. Tetapi keberhasilan mereka dalam belajar bahasa kedua tidak dapat dijelaskan oleh tata bahasa yang digunakan orang tua. Sehingga, proses pembelajaran perolehan bahasa kedua di kelas dianggap lebih efektif.This article that show language acquisition refers to development of a second language for children. Second language learning is the process by which a person learns a foreign language. For children’s development, there are some factors that influences a second language acquisition. Beside their own language, the children learn from language acquisition production and using context and semantics. Other factors are also important, such as teachers’ competence and mothers’ speech. This article first defines the concepts of language acquisition production. This is followed by the stages in development that give stimulated for children. The second part of this article using context and semantics. This experience is analyzed the children to begin using new language. Then, they begin to produce simple sentence with spontaneous and composition, and cannot literally create a grammar rules before action words. The third factor is teachers’ competence. Teachers also are expected to teach about structure and grammar, and should be able to create learner central instruction. The fourth article is mothers’ speech. The parent also part of the word modify their speech when taking to young children. It surely must help children when their parents speak well. But their success at learning cannot be explained by any special grammar of parental. So that, the process of learning second language acquisition in the classroom can be more effective.

The goal of this research is to describe the extent of the mind map methode influences. Mind map is a graphical way to represent ideas and concept, in this study mind map used in improving the student’s understanding of tarkib . With the subject of class VII C of Islamic Junior High School Batu East Java.The types of this research is classroom action research where the researcher used the Kemmis and MC Taggart model in this research with two cycles and each cycle there are 4 (four) stages were Palnning, Acting, Observing and Reflecting. Methode that used a qualitative approach. The instrument that used ini this research were observation, documentation, interview, and test. The technique of data analysis in this researrh is a descriptive analysis. The result of thisresearch showed that the completeness of student learning outcomes in the first cycle reached an average 63,63 and in the second cycle reached an average 76,06. These data have shown that in the first cycle the indicators of success have not been achieved and in the second cycle student learning outcomes have shown that indicators of success have been achieved.

“Metode Ceramah” can be defined as a way of presenting the lesson through oral or explanation directly to a group of students.“Metode ceramah” is a method that use until today by any teacher or instructor. “Metode Ceramah” on the subjects of Islamic Religion Education (PAI) has not been so appropriate. It just looks teacher center, while students are not active in their learning and tend to be lazy. This paper aims to apply the concept of Melvin on “metode ceramah” that can create original learning that is passive to active and improve student achievement. Melvin concept to effective teaching with “Metode Ceramah” is to arouse interesting, to maximize comprehension and recall, involving students during lectures, and reinforce what has been delivered.

Penguasaan kosa kata siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris kelas IV.B SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru sangat rendah. Terdapat 69 % siswa yang mengalami remedial. Metode yang digunakan selama ini kurang efektif. Untuk itu dilakukan upaya peningkatan penguasaan kosa kata, Pictionary Board Game. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) Sejauh mana Pictionary Board Game. dapat meningkatkan hasil penguasaan kosa kata, 2) Faktor apa sajakah yang meningkatkan penguasaan kosa kata siswa dengan menggunakan Pictionary Board Game. Kelas IV.B SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru. Jenis penilitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV.B SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus, yang mana setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian berupa hasil test, lembar observasi, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Pictionary Board Game. dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kosa kata pada tiap indikatornya. Ada 3 faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil penguasaan kosa kata siswa: yaitu materi yang diberikan kepada siswa, ketertarikan siswa, dan bimbingan guru.
