Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions. Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession. Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice. Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works. Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

<![CDATA[Digital learning is an educational strategy that utilises technology to facilitate learning. In the realm of entrepreneurship, proficiency in digital skills is crucial for enhancing sales performance. Women's involvement in entrepreneurship, aiming to bolster the family's financial situation, has a positive influence on enhancing education. A family's economic well-being significantly impacts the educational opportunities available to the children within that family. This study sought to examine the empowerment method required by female-dominated small business players in Aceh Tamiang, both during and after the pandemic. The study used convenience sampling, gathering data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The acquired data underwent analysis through credibility testing, member checks, dependability assessment, conformability evaluation, and transferability examination. The findings indicated that achieving the empowerment of housewives/women as small business participants in Aceh Tamiang necessitates optimal collaboration among the government, private sector, and the community. This empowerment initiative specifically addresses the challenges faced by individuals during the epidemic, including the transition to digital methods of production and marketing.]]>

<![CDATA[The acceleration of change with the COVID-19 pandemic has made a leap in all aspects, including the banking industry. Islamic banking, which is only a few decades old, has shown a significant increase in assets and institutions that need to be supported by the presence of human resources who understand the characteristics of these institutions so that they do not only focus on domestic affairs but develop overseas. Redesigning the Islamic banking curriculum is urgent in order to prepare the students to become graduates who can be in line with the needs of industrial world. This study aims to redesign the Islamic banking curriculum through in-depth study of stakeholders, namely study program administrators, industry associations (Islamic banking), graduate users, and scientific associations. The method used in this research is a combination by first mapping using the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) method and then deepening and matching it with the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method to produce priority strategy. The priorities generated based on the SWOT and ANP matrices are : (1) Increasing stakeholder links and matches, (2) Increasing graduate competence, (3) Periodic review and evaluation of the curriculum, (4) Increasing Lecturer capacity. Therefore, Sustainable learning in Islamic banking must be supported by stakeholders by linking and matching in order to fill the need with the availability of competent human resources.]]>

<![CDATA[The 5Cs skills are critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation, communication, collaboration, and confidence. It becomes essential skills in the 21st century. This study aims to investigate the strategies in creating website-based learning media. It is Research and Development (RD) which implements ADDIE model. Research subjects are 64 students in sixth semester of English Education Department at a private university in Bojonegoro Regency. In analyzing stage, need analysis is conducted to determine students’ need of it. In designing stage, the blueprints are created in form of storyboards. In developing stage, it is submitted and consulted to 2 validators who are learning media experts in different universities. In implementing stage, it is implemented in TEYL class to investigate its impact on students. In evaluating stage, Results of development show that website-based learning media is able to improve students’ 5Cs skills. It can be concluded that website-based learning media is able to improve students’ 5Cs skills.]]>

<![CDATA[Moral education is one of the most important parts of Islamic teachings. Islamic teachings oblige all adherents to seek knowledge, and one of the most prioritized knowledge is ilmu al-hāl. This study aims to reveal the concept of ethics in seeking knowledge and the integration between transfer of knowledge and the transfer of value based on the book of Ta’līm al-Muta’allim written by Syaikh Az-Zarnuji. This study uses qualitative research methods that focus on library research. Sources of data used include the book Ta’līm al-Muta'alim as a primary data source and related journal articles as a source of supporting data. The data analysis process uses the content analysis method, which includes: (1) Identifying and describing; (2) interpreting and analyze; (3) drawing conclusions. The results showed that Syaikh Az-Zarnuji in his book Ta’līm al-Muta’allim emphasized that education is not only a place to increase intellectual knowledge and skills, but the most important thing in the educational process is the value transfer process in order to improve the morals and behavior of students. This is reflected in the concepts of education in the book Ta’līm al-Muta’allim whose contents do not only discuss education as a means of knowledge transfer (transfer of knowledge), but also emphasizes the educational process as a transfer of moral values and goodness (transfer of values).]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe learning to recite the Qur'an using the Baghdadiyah method as typical Qur’an learning in Aceh, especially in the Traditional Dayah of Aceh. This research belongs to qualitative descriptive. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were gained by extracting the interview results with the headmaster of Dayah in Aceh Besar, Aceh, conducting observations of the implementation of the Baghdadiyah method, and reviewing the supporting documents. The analysis was data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that learning to recite Al-Qur'an in Aceh Besar employed the Baghdadiyah method during the learning process. The students recite the Qur’an by spelling, followed by Nala (reading without spelling) and fluent Qur’an reciting.]]>

<![CDATA[This study explored the incorporation of honesty values and associated challenges at a junior high school in Yogyakarta, employing qualitative methods with 13 participants, including principals, teachers, employees, and students. Using interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection and employing the Miles Huberman model for analysis, the research highlighted a holistic approach in instilling honesty through life skills education in academic and extracurricular activities, with teachers playing a pivotal role by example. It identified the main challenge as insufficient teacher numbers impacting effective supervision. The recommendation is for schools to adopt comprehensive strategies to promote honesty, fostering an environment conducive to developing student integrity.]]>

<![CDATA[Children's worship practices organized at school and at home should be based on the awareness of religious feelings. The importance of children's awareness of religious feeling is the main reason for success in children's religious and spiritual development. This study aims to analyze children's worship practice preferences and the emotional expressions shown towards these preferences. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The number of respondents was 32 children with different school backgrounds, namely, Public kindergarten, Privat Kindergarten and Islamic Privat Kindergarten. Data collection was done with picture-based interviews (worship practices, worship partners and emotional expressions). As a result, most children chose prayer and read Quran as their preferred worship practices. The most chosen worship partner is a friend. The majority of children received motivation to worship from their peers. The enthusiasm for intensive worship is shown during the month of Ramadan, where children together with their friends worship at the mosque. Religious feelings is formed from children's worship habits such as prayer, read Quran, fasting and alms. The most chosen expression of emotion is very happy with the majority reasons are being happy to worship with friends.]]>

<![CDATA[Globalization has diverse interpretations depending on various fields of expertise, but generally implies a borderless world where interactions can occur freely. Official NET News highlights the influence of gadgets on children, particularly in relation to gaming habits and parental management of potential addictions. This study aims to explore the impact of gadget use on the religious development of children aged 4-6 at TK Negeri Pembina Samporoa Vatutela Tondo. A mixed-method approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative methods, was used over a three-week period. Observations covered various religious aspects including knowledge of Prophets and Messengers, Hajj rituals, and prayer movements. The findings indicate that gadget use can positively influence the development of religious values in children aged 4-6. The aspects of naming Prophets and Messengers, understanding Hajj rituals, and performing prayer movements show development as expected. In Group B1, gadget usage also varies, with some children engaging in online/offline games, watching YouTube, or using TikTok. Gadget use can be multifaceted, serving as a means for both entertainment and educational development, particularly in the religious sphere. The balance between these uses and potential influences on children's development warrants further investigation.]]>

<![CDATA[Assessing public speaking abilities is crucial in contexts such as the Puteri Indonesia Contest, where effective communication is key. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected from video documentation. The population of the research is 20 students. The sample of the research is 10 students who take the data from 10 contestants from Puteri’s Indonesia Speech. The data were analyzed and obtained from 3 raters through the PIPA Persuasive Informative Presentation Assessment) Model. It consisted of organization, supporting materials, content, articulation, nonverbal communication, and visual aid. The result shows that one speech of the contestants was categorized in Advanced level in in nonverbal communication and articulation. Then, supporting materials, and content reached a proficient level. Lastly, there was no visual aids available during the grand final speech competition, they only got a minimal level of visual aids. Thus, visual aid is the weaknesses of PIPA model in the speech of the contestants. It was suggested to investigate for the next research.]]>

<![CDATA[The objective of this project was to develop e-modules using the current Microsoft Sway 365 platform, with a focus on discovery learning. The creation of the e-module dilator is driven by the discovery that current mathematics e-modules fail to effectively assist students in freely constructing knowledge and grasping topics. Students continue to see mathematics as challenging to comprehend, resulting in persistently low academic achievements in the subject. This research falls under the category of Research and Development (RD) and utilises the Plomp model. The Plomp model comprises three distinct stages: basic research, prototype phase, and assessment. The data gathering procedures employed consist of observation sheets, questionnaires, and test sheets. This study included descriptive and statistical methodologies. The investigation yields products that fall within a legitimate category value range of 4.2. This indicates that the e-module is appropriate for use by fourth-grade primary school students.]]>
