To improve students' critical thinking skills, this study used online PBL (Problem-Based Learning) on learning Natural Science in the field of Biology. This research was conducted in pre-experimental research design with the subjects of 4th semester students in study program of PGMI (Teacher Education of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah). The results of the analysis showed that the improvement of critical thinking skill of female students is better than male groups. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing obtained from the data showed that the N_Gain critical thinking skill of male and female students were greater than α (sig. 0.051 ˃ (α) 0.05.), therefore H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected. That is, there is no difference in the improvement of critical thinking skill between male and female students. When it came from the indicators of critical thinking, the N-Gain score for all indicators of the female group was better than that of the male one. Also, for students’ independence, the average percentage of student responses in all aspects showed that they were in a Good category. The average percentage of student responses on the planning aspect was 73.65% in a Good category. The process aspect of student independent learning had the highest score among the three aspects, which was 75.73% or in the Good category, and the Learning Evaluation Aspect has the lowest score among the three aspects, which was 66.53% and was in a Good category.

This study will offer and fill the gap of prior research in the context of acquiring speaking skills using Google Classroom as a Learning Management System by EFL students in Papua during Covid-19. This study aimed to explore the processes and students' strategies to face online learning speaking skills using Google Classroom during the covid-19 pandemic. This study applied a qualitative descriptive design involving participants from students of Tadris English who took speaking subjects through Google Classroom. Furthermore, data were collected through offline interviews and online observations. Then, analyzed qualitatively based on the theory of John W Creswell. The results showed that the process of acquiring speaking abilities using Google Classroom proves to be difficult for students who want to improve their English speaking skills. Because they have recently introduced Google Classroom in the learning process and learning is taking place for the first time in a fully online learning setting. As a result, students are more inclined to prioritize studying Google Classroom above mastering English competency itself. More research is needed to investigate Google Classroom from the lecturer's point of view in the context of teaching English in Papua in order to provide more full references and information about the usage of Google Classroom in English classrooms in Papua.

This study aims to: (1) produce an appropriate Edu-Detective Thinking learning model, (2) produce a practical Edu-Detective Thinking learning model, and (3) produce an effective Edu-Detective Thinking learning model to improve environmental character, science processes skill, and students' cognitive processing abilities. This type of Research Development research refers to the Borg Gall development model, which includes: (1) preliminary study and information gathering, (2) planning, (3) initial product development, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) product revision main field, (6) main field testing, (7) operational product, (8) operational field testing, (9) final product revision, (10) dissemination implementation. Data on product validity and practicality were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets. Then, the data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. Meanwhile, the effectiveness data were collected by test questions and analyzed using the MANOVA test. The results of the study are as follows: (1) the Edu-Detective Thinking learning model is feasible to improve the environmental character, science process skills, and students' cognitive processing abilities, (2) the practical Edu-Detective Thinking learning model to improve environmental character, science process skills, and students' cognitive processing abilities, and (3) the Edu-Detective Thinking learning model is effective for improving the environmental character, science process skills, and students' cognitive processing abilities. Thus, it can be concluded that the Edu-Detective Thinking model can be an alternative learning model to improve the quality of biology learning to be more challenging and fun for students.

Besides, it is expected to be a reference for several other schools to be used as models. The key to this success is because one of them is the ability of the principal to implement a quality management model that is committed and with high integrity, namely by making, providing report cards for every personnel involved in managing the school. The report cards that are distributed and evaluated every semester have measurable and operational indicators so that they are easy to assess, score and interpret. The indicators in the report cards are socialized at the beginning of each school year after evaluating the overall management phase. This report card becomes feedback for the principal and the foundation to take policies for improvement.

The research approach used is quantitative research, ex post facto type. The research population was 316 students at Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) at Ahmad Dahlan University, Yogyakarta. The research sample was 118 students. Data obtained through interviews and questionnaires. The data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis. The results of the regression test with a simple linear test showed a sig value of 0.827, with the criteria Sigα (0.05) this means that there is no effect of variable X (online learning) on variable Y (learning motivation). Thus, this study concludes that there is no significant negative effect of online learning on students' learning motivation. Of the four indicators of learning motivation, namely a sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, independence, and belief, they are in the very good category. During the teaching and learning process, most of the students were enthusiastic about participating in lectures and flexible learning. Through online learning, there are many positive things that can be felt to be able to increase the spirit of learning, such as more flexible learning, not being hindered by distance and time and being able to train students' learning independence.
