Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to find out how mind mapping learning method can improve learning activeness in class. This research was conducted in SMK Negeri 1 Malang on Business Economics subjects material scarcity and sub theme of requirement. The sample in this research is students of class X AP 1 as many as 40 students. In the sample, the selection is not based on tribe, religion, race, and learning outcomes. In implementing the teaching, teachers apply 3 stages in accordance with the lesson plan that is the beginning, core, and closing activities. The application of mind mapping learning method is applied to the core stages of learning. The result of this research is student activeness in learning using mind mapping method looks increasing. Abstract

Student learning outcomes are low due to lack of participation and weak understanding of students on the material delivered. Students have difficulty repeating the material that has been obtained. Student notes are linear and monotonous so students are tired of reading and have difficulty re-learning the notes that have been made. The application of mind mapping learning models is done to overcome the low learning outcomes and creativity of students. The study was conducted with Classroom Action Research and used a qualitative approach. Student learning outcomes and creativity have increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2.

Abstract

This research comes from the problem of using difficult language to understand, the availability of the manual, learning model and assumption student on the economics lesson.  The solution of these problems is the combination of the learning model GI and LBC. This type of research is a Class Action Research (CAR) located in SMK Negeri 1 Malang on grade XI PM 3. Data collection techniques are conducted through observation, cognitive tests, and documentation and field notes. Results of the study showed an increase in the results of a study of the I-cycle to cycle II with an average classical completeness 66.78 with the number of 9 students have completed and 23 are not complete. The predicate results show that approximately 85 students are categorized as not good, while 30 students complete with predicate very good and the least 2 students are under minimum criteria.

Abstract

Learning often makes the students feel bored and had less spirit to study because the teacher applied conventional learning model or speech. That model affected less student activity and lower learning outcome. Because of that case we need an interesting learning model which can make the students become more interested in the learning process. This learning model is Course Review Horay. This research was done in class XI IPS 5 Senior High School 1 Tumpang. The amount of the student in this class is 20 student that consists of 14 boys and 6 girls. The data about the implementation of learning model Course Model Horay obtained through an instrument called teacher activity observation sheet. Based on data that had been obtained through student activity and their learning outcome in Class XI IPS 5. It can be shown with the successfulness of this action research in implementing learning model Course Model Horay in the First cycle reaches 65% with good category (B) then there’s an improvement in the second cycle, that ‘s about 82% with very good category (A). The improvement of learning outcome in the first cycle, that’s about 78%  change to 87% in the second cycle, or increased by 9 %. While the increased activity on the first cycle of 72 % and increases significantly every cycle for the second 79 %. Based on the outcome of this research, can be concluded that the implementation of learning model Course Review Horay can increase liveliness and study results students, and suggested for teachers especially teachers economic to apply learning model so that the liveliness and study result students can increase. Keywords: Course Review Horay, Increase Liveliness, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Based on observations and interviews with a social teacher at SMPN 11 Malang, obtained information that the learning process of a social subject is still using lecture method and to be one-way in the classroom. This causes less active students in learning so that activity in students to learn is still lacking. This will have an impact on student's mastery learning which is the minimum standard of mastery learning which has been established by SMP Negeri 11 Malang is 75%. To overcome these problems required learning model that can improve student learning activity. The model applied in this study is a learning model Talking Stick with Crossword. This research aims to determine the completeness of VII students in G class SMP Negeri 11 Malang through the Application of Learning Model Talking Stick with Crossword models. This research is a classroom action research (PTK), which consists of two cycles. The research data obtained from test results at the end of each cycle. Abstract

The research examines the process of improving students’ activities and students’ achievement on Economics by applying collaborated learning model between Mind Mapping and Teams Games Tournament (TGT). This study follows a classroom action research which conducted in SMAN 2 Batu in Indonesia for Tenth grade students in social studies. This research is carried out in  two cycles including four stages namely planning, observation, evaluation, and reflection.The data were gathered from several tests and direct observation. Further, the data were analyzed both qualitative and quantitative accordingly. The findings showed that the combination of mind mapping and teams games tournament (TGT) promotes better teaching and learning activities. Consequently, students are more likely understand the materials in the economic course comprehensively. Furthermore, the implementation of both learning models simultaneously affects to encourage students to be active and spirit to follow the lesson. Lastly, the amalgamation of mind mapping and teams games tournament (TGT) leads to greater students’ activities and students’ achievement.Keywords: Teams Games Tournament, Mind Mapping, Students’ Activity, Students’ Achievement

Abstract

The author did observation in class X IPS that have been held in Senior High School 1 Turen, Malang regency, based on the observation during learning process, the student were pasive. They only gave less respond during learning process. Based on the intervierw with Ms. Etika Dewi Rahmawati, known as teacher economy subject, she explain the reasons why the student have low outcome  because they are less active during learning process. Through the interview and the observation wich has been done, so that we need to solve that problem by changing the fundamental of learning process. Cooperative methode technique STAD can help student to increase their activity in the class. This type of research is PTK (Research Action Class) that consist of two cycles, every cycles has 4 steps: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The subject in this research is class XIPS 2, the amount of the subject are 33 student. The learnng material which are used in this reseach are central bank, payment system and the instrumental of payment. This research is held at second semester in Januari 2017. The instrument of this research are observation sheet and test to evaluate learning outcome. The result of this reseach show that the learning process with the aplication of using learning methode technique STAD, generally can make student more active. The average of their activity in the first cycle is 62.40% and in the second cycle is 79,31%. It aslo occurs the increasing of learning outcome, in the first cycle is 45,45% and in the second cycle is 90,32%.

Abstract

Based on a preliminary observation made in SMA Negeri Pasirian in the tenth-grade students of Social Studies 3, it is known that the process of learning on the economy is still using a model that has not been easy making students become excited and active which adversely affects the learning activities and student learning outcomes. Observation result also showed that the tenth grade students of Social Studies 3 has an average score of Economic lessons is less good than other the tenth grade students of Social Studies but the thoroughness of the result of the tenth grade students of Social Studies 3 was <75% of the specified standard passing grade, in addition to the lack of liveliness the tenth grade students of Social Studies 3 also a problem in learning activities in the classroom that need a proper learning, interesting, and fun in form of problem based learning model which is expected to help students to hone their thinking towards a problem so as to increase the activity of learning as well as students learning outcomes. Based on the survey result, it revealed that there is an increased activity the tenth-grade students of Social Studies 3. This is indicated by the percentage of students activity by 69,4% the first cycle and the second first cycle increased to be 87,1%. Improving student learning outcomes can be seen from the result of students mastery of cognitive with the average post-test value of students increased from the first cycle of 65,63% rising to 82,2% in the second cycle.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Liveliness, and Students Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Economic studies in class XI IPS 1 on MAN 3 Malang apply conventional learning methods and discussion groups. These methods are already focused on student learning activities, but only a few students are able to demonstrate their academic ability. The existence of these problems resulted in students who are still unable to achieve minimal competence. Therefore, needed learning models that can improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research was conducted to describe the learning results of students of Class XI IPS 1 MAN 3 Malang cognitive domain in economic subjects with applied learning model Cooperative Learning Teams Games Tournament collaborated with Lottery Card. The results is: 1) On cycle 1 an increase in percentage of completed learning 3.85% when pretest become 76% when the post-test; 2) At cycle 2 an increase in percentage of completed learning 7.69% when pretest be 100% on the post-test. The first conclusion of this research is that the application of the Cooperative learning model of the Learning Teams Games Tournament collaborated with Lottery Card on economic subjects can be applied well in class XI IPS 1 MAN 3 Malang, both the application of Cooperative learning model of the Learning Teams Games Tournament collaborated with Lottery Card can improve the students learning outcomes on economic subjects of Class XI IPS 1 MAN 3 Malang.Keyword: Cooperative Learning, Teams Games Tournament, Lottery Card, The Result of the Study.DOI: 10.17977/um013v1i22017p099

Abstract

Abstract Economics learning outcomes in X Social Science Class in State Senior High School 2 of Lamongan is Relatively Low, Researcher know this condition was based on the last test scores from economic teacher. To solve this problem, teachers are expected to the make the learning ambience more interesting. If the teacher can create an attractive learning ambience, the student’s learning outcomes will increase. One of strategy that can be applied by teachers is using cooperative learning. Cooperative learning strategies consist of several kinds. In this research, Researcher applied two kind of cooperative learning methods; make a match and round table. The purpose of this research is to determine the difference in student’s economics learning outcomes who taught by make a match and round table. This research used quasi-experimental research (quasi-experiment) with nonequivalent control group with pretest-posttest design. The results of this research concluded that there are differences in economics learning outcomes who taught by make a match and a round table in the X Social Science Class in State Senior High School 2 of Lamongan.
