Abstract

Various objects in the form of digital images can be extracted the features. One of the features that can be used in feature extraction is statistical texture features. In this case, the feature extraction is used to identify the characteristics of each type of facial skin because many cases of mistakenly recognize the type of facial skin that has resulted in occurrence of diseases and unwanted things on the face. In this study, the author uses facial skin especially the cheek part as the object of research because the cheek is one part of the T-zone. Local Binary Pattern (LBP) is one of the feature extraction method that uses adjacency/neighboring distance and the number of neighbors that can be used and utilized in the identification process, which can be combined with statistical texture features. The benefit of this study itself is to assist in the initial diagnosis in determining the type of facial skin that is owned. This study uses data as many as 112 female face images obtained by taking data directly in the field (primary data). This study got the highest accuracy result that was equal to 84.62% with adjacency/neighboring distance (R) = 1 and a combination of 3 statistical texture features, that is a combination of mean, skewness and energy.

Abstract

In developing or changing a software, it is necessary to observe the maintainability so that the software does not have low maintainability. Low maintainability can make the software difficult to understand, expensive to repair and develop or change in the future. One of the causes of low maintainability is code smell. Not all developers have enough knowledge about code smell, even though they understand about it, it is uncertain if they can necessarily find a solution that must be taken to overcome the code smell or not. The long method smell detection system has a feature to help developers detect it, and effective methods and refactoring methods that can be done from java source code so that it can reduce the effort of developers to overcome code smell, especially long methods. This system developed based on Refactoring Filtering Metrics (RFM), which calculates switch, edge, node, def, c-use, p-use and complexity of condition values. The RFM value used as the basis for detecting the long method smell using Refactoring Filtering Condition. This system has been tested by the Whitebox method and validation testing using the Blackbox method. This system can operate detection in less than 10 seconds and has a detection accuracy of 100 percent.

Abstract

The implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS) in Malang Vocational High School has encountered many problems in the display that is difficult to understand, users do not understand the features of the system so that problems arise in the aspects of Usability and Learnability. Because the teacher has difficulty choosing which LMS is good to use, the researcher evaluated the comparisons of the two LMSs used namely Edmodo and Google Classroom using the Heuristic Walkthrough which is a combination of two methods namely Heuristic Evaluation on Usability and Cognitive Walkthrough on Learnability. The respondents involved were four experts and five teachers in each LMS. The results of the study show that the Learnability factor Edmodo has a total of 14 problems and two 21 for the Google Classroom. In Usability results, Edmodo has 23 problems and has an average severity rating of 2.5 while Google Classroom has 9 problems and has an average severity rating of 2.7. From these results, Edmodo is recommended for new users because it excels in Learnability aspects while Google Classroom is recommended by experts because it excels in Usability.

Abstract

Content Centric Networking (CCN) is a proposed architecture for addressing current Internet issues in terms of data distribution. The CCN is content-centric based, where the data search is performed using the name of the content, not the content host. CCN also has a different caching mechanism than caching in general called in-network caching. This study aims to find out how the performance of in-network caching on CCN by design and implementation using CCN-Lite in OMNeT ++ environment. The parameters tested were delivery latency and cache hit ratio (CHR). The result of the simulation is done, the smallest delivery latency is 10.69 ms. This value is obtained from the caching process, when compared with the latency of delivery without caching that is equal to 32.45 ms. It proves that with the caching, the latency gets lower. The highest CHR obtained in the CCNTLV protocol file is 0.54 or 54%, when compared with the CCNB file protocol of 0.45 or 45%. This proves that the higher the value of CHR the better the content is served.

Abstract

Internet users are increasing, causing access demands to a service to increase, which results in the possibility of overloading the server as well. This problem can solve with load balancing technology. The development of network architecture now leads to the Software Defined Network (SDN) because SDN is a architecture that is manageable, dynamic, cost-effective, and adaptable. Previous research has applied load balancing technology on SDN networks using the weighted least-connection algorithm. However, the research still uses flow, which has expired time. In other studies that use the least connection algorithm (LCA) have overcome the problem of expired flow using psutil agents. But the results of the study showed very high CPU usage and unstable traffic distribution. Therefore, this study will apply the psutil agent-based method to the Load Balancing system on SDN networks using the weighted least connection (WLCA) algorithm and determine the performance of the agent-based method. The functional test results show that the psutil agent can send the value of the information on the number of connections on the server to the controller with an error value of 0%. The application of the psutil agent to the weighted least connection algorithm is also better. In testing 500 requests, the response time of WLCA was 29ms while at LCA was 33ms, the value of memory utilization in WLCA was 20.9% while LCA was 21% and the value of CPU utilization in WLCA was 81.2% while at LCA is 84.3%. On the other side, on the 300 and 500 request tests, WLCA algorithm traffic distribution is more stable compared to the LCA algorithm.

Abstract

Farmers are the biggest economic contributors in Indonesia. However, the income from farming is still considered very low resulting in farmers becoming less prosperous. One of the ways to increase their income is to utilize new ways to generate income for farmers in the form of broadening their market. This research was done with the Langgeng Mandiri Farmer Group who were connected with household customers or restaurants in the Malang City region. Based on the business model done on the Langgeng Mandiri Farmer Group, resulted in a solution in the form of a mobile application that can bridge the farmer group with consumers in terms of sales of crops. The development of this application uses a prototyping method. Requirements of the users are formed into a mockup and evaluation is done using a query evaluation technique which will result in two iterations. Implementation of the application is built on an Android base and data communication with a database serves was done through the assistance of a web service. The operating of the application during the testing phase were done with expected results based on requirement scenario, the application was able to run on android version 5.0 (Lolipop) to android version 9.0 (Pie) and the application was well-received by the farmer group and the consumers.

Abstract

Event is an activity which held for a public meeting or inviting many people for celebration, education, and marketing. Kingdom Generation Community (KGC) Malang is a youth people church under the authority of the Indonesian Bethel Church (GBI) Representative of Christ Kingdom (ROCK). KGC Malang has a purpose to reaching out and develop youth people to be a positive impact on their environment. To achieve this goal, KCG Malang has many events. However, in the execution of the event, KGC Malang has many problems, such as the absence report, there is no recording process for each member growth. Eventually, hard for the leader make the right decisions for an event, placing a member to the right position because there is no data record. Base on these problems has created an application to manage many activities of KGC Malang from planning until reporting or evaluating, and make a centralized member data collection system than can be accessed by leaders. This study is using SDLC Waterfall. The research is started with an interview and engineering needs. This phase produces 33 functional requirements and one non-functional requirement with 4 actors. Sequence diagram, class diagram, user interface design, and database design is the result of the design phase as a foundation for the implementation phase. This application development uses HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP with frameworks Laravel and VueJS. The system tested using unit testing which tests 3 primary functions of system and 3 test case with result 100% valid, validation testing to test 33 functional requirement and 33 test case with result 100% valid, and compatibility testing to test the non-functional requirement and the result there is no significant issues which impacted for functionality of application.

Abstract

Thesis is a mandatory thing that must be done by a student to get a bachelor's degree. Based on the PSIK data from the Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University, from 192 data, 96 students completed the thesis according to the specified time 95 other students did not complete the thesis according to the specified time span of 6 months. So based on these problems a system is needed that can explore knowledge - new knowledge and can help make decisions using data mining. In this study using one of the data mining tasks namely Association Rule Mining using the Apriori algorithm produces rule patterns that can be used as parameters for the prediction of thesis readiness. The collected data supports 540 academic program data records of 2013 - 2014 Information System study students and 192 FILKOM APPS data records that contain progress data for student thesis in 2018, then pre-processing to use the usage pattern using Apriori with WEKA tools. The results of testing the system using a black box show valid results so that it can be concluded that the system is made according to requirements. Then to test usability obtained a value of 67.5 which belongs to the predicate D for Scale Scale and Marginal Height for the Acceptance Range.

Abstract

In Indonesia, e-commerce is getting more popular since a lot of online stores occurred in the current digital industry. One of the growing e-commerce in Indonesia is E-Commerce XYZ. It offers various products and services such as electronic devices, beauty products, household stuffs, and many more. This research is conducted to learn the leverage factors of consumer's decision on doing a transaction in Elevania. The research used Unified Theory Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model while added trust and risk factor. The variables of the research are consumer trust, perceived risk, performance expectancy, social influence, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, and behavioral intention. Analysis technique used multiple linier regression. The research finally found that partially, only consumer trust and social influence factor have significant positive leverage toward behavioral intention. Meanwhile, all factors simultaneously have significant leverage toward behavioral intention

Abstract

Jawa Timur Park 1 is a tourist attraction located in the tourist town of Batu with an area of 8 hectares. For some people who have just visited Jawa Timur Park 1 for the first time, most will find it difficult to travel from one place to another in Jawa Timur Park 1 which can be rides or public places. The currently available solution today is by spreading maps of Jawa Timur Park 1 in several locations in Jawa Timur Park 1. However, the use of conventional maps is considered to be susceptible to causing errors in reading directions. In this research, a navigation application that is able to overcome this problem will be developed so that users can travel from one place to another more efficiently. The application will implement augmented reality technology with the help of ARCore SDK so that it allows users to understand the given directions more effectively and able to provide a different experience in navigating. The results of validation testing using the black box method produce a suitability value of 100% which indicates that all functions in the application can run as expected. Then the use of the application is considered capable of increasing the level of efficiency in terms of navigating time by 44,6%. While on usability testing related to the user satisfaction level, the application gets a value of 79,69 which indicate that the developed application is able to provide a good level of satisfaction to the user regarding the use of the application.
