Abstract

According to Kominfo, smartphones are the most widely used user with around 50.08% of users compared to computers or laptops. The high flexibility makes mobile devices more commonly used by people. PT. Traveling Media Network (Travelingyuk) is a company that specializes in travel agency. Until now, Travelingyuk still has not had a mobile media for their information of tourism. To enhance the competitiveness of Travelingyuk to other travel agency companies, therefore, a mobile-based application is needed. A good application is the one that the users can accept and use easily and unambiguously. To achieve the goal, Travelingyuk needs a user-based interface design in the mobile application. The right method to create a user-based design is Human Centered Design (HCD), because this method makes the users (humans) the center for determining the design. This research discusses how to create user interfaces of the mobile-based application used by Travelingyuk by adapting HCD. This design was adapted form the Google Material Design Guidelines made by Google. Furthermore, the evaluation to the results of designing the user interface application is needed to determine the level of usability user-acceptability level. The evaluation of the user interface design is done by using System Usability Scale Questionnaaire that contains 10 statements about usability testing. This user interface design got 77,25 of the SUS score, which means that the user interface design of Travelingyuk mobile-based application is well accepted by users.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (UIN Maliki Malang) is an information system used to serve students in UIN which using terchnology. However, in the practicing UIN Maliki Malang get complaints were received by students such as inaccurate scores of students, servers often have problems, less attractive interface, grammar cannot be understand and difficuld for students to use SIAKAD due to the absence of a guidebook. To increase end-user satisfaction, it is necessary to evaluate the end-user of SIAKAD Maliki UIN Malang. This study aims to describe the factors that oppose the End User Computation Satisfaction (EUCS) method towards SIAKAD Maliki UIN Malang which consists of content variables, accuracy, format, ease of use, timeliness, and user satisfaction. This study used a sample of 120 respondents. The analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the evaluation indicate that the content of the variable has a value of 3.08 included in the category of satisfaction. While the variables of accuracy has a value of 2.75 included in the category of dissatisfaction, format has a value of 2.90 included in the category of dissatisfaction, ease of use has a value of 2.89 included in the category of dissatisfaction, timeliness has a value of 2.64 included in the category of dissatisfaction, and user satisfaction has a value of 2.89 included in the category of dissatisfaction. Recommendations that can be given to variables included in the category are not satisfied

Abstract

Kabupaten Sidoarjo Government has public service function, one of which is public complaints services. This public complain service is managed by an agency called the Public Complaints and Service Center (P3M) which is located at the Communication and Information Office of Sidoarjo Regency. Public complaints services can be done through several media such as through social media and the P3M application website. From the media, public complaints services can be done but have problems regarding user accessibility and interest in P3M applications. In addition, some additional features are needed for the P3M application. Based on the problem, it is necessary to develop a public complaints service application website that can solve the problem. Development is carried out by providing business process modeling, requirement analysis, designing and implementing community complaint service systems by implementing an object oriented approach. Then the system is tested to find out which systems or applications that have been developed in this study can run according to identified requirement. Application development is done by using the waterfall model method and using the Laravel php framework and testing using the validation, responsivity, and compatibility testing method. The results of the study indicate that the system can run well in accordance with expectations and is able to facilitate public complaints services.

Abstract

Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) is a network architecture that can be applied in areas that have a delay But. DTN has limits on its network storage size. DTN has two routing protocols, single-copy and multi-copy routing. In multi-copy, resources become full faster because they are used to store message replicas and its becomes more vulnerable to flood attacks than single-copy routing protocol. Flood attack is an attack from a malicious node by sending a huge number of packets into the network. Encounter records are one of many security mechanism that can be used to detect flood attack on DTN. In this research, ER development was carried to handle flood attack. The time needed to detect flood attacks in Epidemic is 1.22349 seconds and in Spray-and-wait routing is 0.97765 second. The accuracy of detection using ER is more than 80% for both protocols. Difference of PDR result of using ER and without ER in Epidemic 17.209% and in Spray-and-wait is 66.7139%. The average latency in epidemic routing is 2774.35489 ms and in spray-and-wait routing is 2794.70716 ms. The result of overhead ratio in epidemic routing is 281.52343 and in Spray-and-wait routing is 8.82161.

Abstract

Gold is one of the precious metals that many people interested as commodity to invest because of its resistance to inflation. Fluctuations can occur so extreme that affect the value of gold. Therefore, prospect of gold value in the future is quite important for the investors. One of prediction methods is Support Vector Regression (SVR), but the sensitivity of SVR parameters could influence the prediction result, therefore Genetics Algorithm (GA) can be applied, this method is flexible enough to be hybridized. This study discuss about the optimization of SVR parameters using GA to predict gold prices. Based on the testing result, the best mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) is 0.2407% with SVR loop 50, GA's generation 95, population size 70, crossover rate 0.01, mutation rate 0.99, elitism percentange 80%, range of 1x10-7-1x10-4, range of 0.01-5, range of 1x10-7-1x10-4, range of 1x10-5-1x10-4, and range of 1x10-3-0.1.

Abstract

Paragliding is a free-flying sport using cloth wings (parachutes) that take off and land using legs that use the wind, the wind itself has several types including dynamic lift and thermal lift. The wind in the paragliding take-off area is very important for athletes and tourists who will take off. The lack of information obtained in the take-off paragliding area, especially for most people (tourists) who want to fly, has difficulty getting wind information in the paragliding take-off area. From this problem, this research was conducted to determine the wind conditions in the form of notifications using 3 parameters, namely wind speed, wind direction and the presence of raindrops and then processed using the naive bayes method on the microcontroller that produces safe, alert and hazardous output. The wind speed sensor uses a rotary encoder which has an accuracy rate of 96.4% compared to the existing anemometer, in wind direction reading using a dual axis module which has a degree difference of 7.75 ° and on a rain sensor, the sensor can detect well the presence of raindrops with the results of the whole system compared to the actual situation has an accuracy rate of 85.71%.

Abstract

PT Airy Nest Indonesia (AiryRooms) is a company that provides reservation service of online budget hotel based in Indonesia. The application ranking of Airyrooms mobile take place sixth (6th) rank in the AppStore and fifth (5th) rank in the PlayStore, while other budget hotel applications get under rank below it. Even though it has reached the number of users and has received quite a lot of enthusiasm, however, from the results of interview and feedback observation that have been done by the researcher there are some problems occur during the use and users' negative perception of AiryRooms application. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the problems continuously to know what might be exist in the application, also to do measurements to know the level effectiveness, efficiency and users' satisfaction level. To measure the level of usability of this study, use a test scenario and direct interviews with Airy Rooms users. In addition, to determine the level of user satisfaction was calculated using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire and to measure the level of user experience collecting various opinions using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) questionnaire with 6 scales: attractiveness, stimulation, perspicuity, dependability, efficiency, and novelty. The results of usability testing showed efficiency of 82% which means in good category, effectiveness is 89% which means above the average of the standard value of 78% and satisfaction shows results reaching a value of 78 which means on the category Acceptable. In addition, the results of measuring user experience on the novelty scale of the UEQ benchmark are below the average of 0.667, users consider the appearance of monotonous applications and available transaction services to be considered lacking even though the Airy Rooms application is fun and easy to use

Abstract

Lovebird is one kind of parrot that has an attractive feather color and distinctive sound. That's make birds form Africa have a fairly high selling value and some people are interested doing lovebird bird cultivation. The bird breeders have not yet realized the importance of recording on cultivated bird. Another problem that often arises in the field of aviculture is that farmers still record everything related to finance still in a manual way. The solution for those problems is by providing information system that can help farmers to collect data and everything related to activities of cultivation activities both in terms of data collection of cultivated birds and from the financial side used during the bird cultivation process. In this research, system development was carried out using the Rapid Application Development method and using an object oriented approach. In this research, there were 3 factors tested validation, unit, and usability. Validation and unit testing produces 100% valid. Whereas to test usability get overall points 0.94 which indicates that the system is usable for end-user.

Abstract

Currently the SBMPTN tryout has several changes such as eliminating the paper-based exam model and changing the scoring system. The latest scoring system uses the Item Response Theory method. The questions will be classified based on the difficulty level and given different weights. The survey results conducted by the author, from 50 respondents participating in the SBMPTN tryout, as many as 50% of respondents stated that they had never taken a computer-based tryout and as many as 68% of respondents said they had never taken a tryout with the latest scoring system. In its current implementation, some tryout organizers still use the paper based exam model with a manual registration system so they have to recap hundreds of registrant data manually. To overcome this problem, an information system for SBMPTN Tryout management is needed. This system can bring together organizers & participants in carrying out SBMPTN Tryout activities. Through this system, organizers can create and manage SBMPTN Tryouts with the computer-based exam model, with the latest scoring system. While for the participants, they can do the registration, payment & take the tryout test that they want . This system has 55 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. The design to build this system is system architecture, sequence diagrams, class diagram, database, component and interfaces. The system has also been tested with 100% valid results for all test.

Abstract

Software Defined Networking (SDN) is new paradigm in computer network management to replace a complex conventional network into the flexible and efficient network by separating the control plane and data plane.This concept lead the control plane define each of flow to be written into data plane. However, the space in the flow table is limited resource, requires careful management to prevent flow table overflow. This research discusses a flow entries management to prevent flow table overflow in SDN by proposing two mechanism of flow removal, that is flow expiry and flow modification. The flow expiry remove an expired flow based on its time, meanwhile the flow modification will be triggered whenever the flow tablespace is nearly full. The implementation of our proposal carried out on a stateless server load-balancing application on SDN. The evaluation results show that the system is able to prevent flow table overflow. Before implements our proposal, 53% of total packet did not get response from server. After implements our proposal, 100% of total packet can accommodate by flow table and get a service from server. In addition, the reuse of flow entries can reduce the value of network latency.
