Abstract

Faculty of Computer Science on the University of Brawijaya evaluates lecturer performance every semester and the evaluation program was carried out by the Quality Assurance Unit (UJM) Team. UJM Team does the evaluation by distributing questionnare within the Student Academic Information System (SIAM). There were two section on the questionnaire, multiple choice section and the comment section. After collecting data, UJM Team processed the data from the comment section manually. The comment section contained student's perspective of the lecturer performance, which has never been processed to date to be used as an evaluation material. Therefore, this study is performed to assist UJM Team to process the data from the comment section using Sentiment Analysis on sentence level with K-Nearest Neighbor classification method. Out of 2210 opinion data from students of the Information Technology Study Program analyzed from three semester period in the Even Semester 2016/2017, Odd Semester 2017/2018, and Even Semester 2017/2018, the classification result in an average accuracy of 81%. The result of this study is a list of opinions and bar chart showing the frequency of opinions that have been classified and will be displayed as a dashboard. This data opinions can also be filterred by lecturer's subjects and his/her name.

Abstract

Internship become an important instrument in order to be able to produce competent workforce for students. SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, as vocational school education in Malang city has collaborated with several industry parties to be able to assist students in carrying out maximum internship activities. However, in handling the implementation process of the internship there are problems such as forms that are still in the form of printed paper which can cause the data to be missing due to others and so on. So based on the existing problems, this research develops the management information system of internship in the process of implementing internship activities at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. In the research process applying the method of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) iterative models without the process of deployment system. The method of interviewing and observing examples of physical documents is a form of method that used in the requirements system phase that produces admin and students as users. PHP programming language is implemented in the system development process by using the CodeIgnitier framework as a help. In the results of testing the system, a conclusion is drawn on the white-box testing that the algorithm has been tested valid and has 24 independent paths. In the conclusion of black-box testing that the functional requirements of the system are valid. While the results of user acceptance testing reveal that the system can be accepted by users very well with the final result of users acceptence is 91.87%.

Abstract

Food and Fisheries Agency or Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Perikanan (DKPP) of Bireuen regency is a regional government institution that has functions regarding the implementation and public services for the availability of food distribution and aquaculture in the Bireuen regency area. In implementing its business functions, DKPP periodically carries out the aquaculture data by conducting field observations to share the information towards the public and other relevant stakeholder. However, the data collection process is still implemented manually so it is not efficient yet because it requires a lot of time, moreover the DKPP does not have a data center so that documents are stored in seperated storage locations. In addition, there are still problems in the fish disease reporting activities because the integrated fish health post (Posikandu) is only located in one location so that it has not been able to reach the entire Bireuen regency. Therefore, it is necessary to have an information system which overcomes this problem. The information system that will be developed is website-based using the Laravel framework. The method used in developing the system is the waterfall model. Further, the system is tested using validation testing, compatibility testing and User Acceptance Test (UAT) methods. The test results showed that the functions in the system are valid, the system can run compatible on various types of browsers and from the results of the UAT it is found that the system is accepted by the user.

Abstract

Students can complete college if they have completed thesis research and have met graduation requirements. For fluency in working on a thesis, students must report achievements and problems experienced while working on the thesis. Students often get problems during thesis guidance, it is difficult to meet lecturers, it is difficult to report on work results and there is no routine guidance schedule. Lecturers find it difficult to determine guidance schedules, too many students are guided, it is difficult to monitor student thesis and incomplete guidance documentation. Based on the existing problems, a prototype design of guidance application was made with Design Sprint. Sprint design can accept user input and validate early, align all team members, set clear goals, develop hypotheses and test them quickly. The design results are in the form of a mobile-based thesis guidance prototype, then in the usability study stage by giving assignments to lecturers and students not to get into trouble just need time to get used to using it. With satisfying results the writing suggests to develop results from prototypes into applications that are ready for use by lecturers and students.

Abstract

The Student Activity Unit is one of the facilities provided by the Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University for students to facilitate and store information related to various kinds of student activities internally and externally. From the start of the competition, official activities, organization and participation in both levels of Study Program, Faculty, Regional, National and International. System applications that already exist and are already running in one of the Filkom Applications Applications with a feature called SKM, which is in accordance with business processes and implementation in the field has not yet run with that caused by a shortage of Human Resources (HR) in Student Affairs, so the process in verification itself is still hampered. The Student Activity Unit also helps students in helping and storing information related to student activities. The information stored on the application itself also helps in the process of accreditation of the Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University. But in the application in the field there are still problems because there is still a lot of information that has not been stored correctly. To overcome this problem, a Web Application using the Codeiginter framework is created specifically for the Student Activity Unit which is needed to help overcome student problems related to lack of human resources, involving students (Student Executive Board) as a verification unit and also providing tools to store information related to students as one of the needs needed for accreditation.

Abstract

Mobile banking application is one of the applications that can provide convenience in human activities. One of these applications is BCA Mobile. This application makes users easily to do financial activities without having to go to the relevant bank. This is an option that is very useful for users who have a busy life in their daily lives. From existing mobile applications, there are no features that can be used to group or filter positive and negative reviews. To find out reviews that are classified as positive or negative reviews, a sentiment analysis review is needed. The analysis process begins with pre-processing data, weighing words using the BM25 algorithm, and the process of classification using Improved K-Nearest Neighbor. The results obtained based on the result of 5-fold cross-validation and get the best k-value at 10, with the result of precision value are 0.946, recall value is 0.934, f-measure value is 0.939, and an accuracy is 0.942. These results get fluctuating measurement results because of the amount of k-value. However, it does not influence by the amount classes of data, because even though there are different amounts or proportions of data classes, the new k-value adjust to the amount of data based on the value of each class.

Abstract

In the world of industry the application of Polyurethane wheels are commonly used for factory and warehouse. At CV. Sumber Rejeki Teknik is a manufacturer of Polyurethane based wheels that focuses on making wheels for forklifts and trolleys. In manufacturing Polyurethane wheels, CV. Sumber Rejeki Teknik uses several Polyurthane materials because with a number of different material variations and characteristics, it is necessary to look for the best material for making Polyurethane wheels with the appropriate preferences and at low prices. Use the Simple Additive Weighting Method to find recommendations for the best material with a ranking form, the results of the agreement using the Simple Additive Weighting method then evaluating it using the Spearman Rank Correlation and Rank Correlation method. The results obtained based on the testing showed that the accuracy for forklifts was 58.333% and for trolleys was 41,666%. In testing carried out using Spearman Rank Correlaton the results for forklifts were 0.21678 and for trolleys were 0.24475.

Abstract

PT Abadi Mitra Andhika (AMA) is an inter-island expedition company established in 1997. Current conditions for information delivery of goods starts from the receipt of goods from the sender and the delivery of goods is done manually. The sender comes directly to PT Abadi Mitra Andika to deliver goods which will then be received and recorded by Sales using Microsoft Excel. If a customer requests item status, Sales will contact the Operations and Vendor door. From here, there is a delay in the process of tracking information and operations so that to overcome this problem, an inter-island cargo shipping expedition information system is needed. To build an inter-island freight forwarding system information system, analysis and design of the system is needed. System analysis and design uses the OOAD (Object Oriented Analysis and Design) approach and is described using UML (Unifed Modeling Language). This study produces modeling of current business processes and proposed business processes, system requirements analysis, system design and evaluation conducted by business process reviews, usage scenarios, useability scenarios using WEBUSE (Website Usability Evaluation) and matrix traceability. The evaluation results of the review process and matrix traceability show that the user path matches the flow in the use case specification and all requirements have a unique code that can be traced to the feature.

Abstract

The implementation of the full-day school concept is currently around 8,000 schools throughout Indonesia. In the implementation, student's activities during school are held for 8 hours per day. Some of the students get a pocket money to buy food in the cafeteria because their parents do not have time to cook the lunch for brunch and some their busy parents entrust the catering service to fulfill their child's nutrition but The majority all students who subscribed to catering leave their lunch and some do not eat all food on the reason because menu in catering is not liked by the students. This causes students to eventually lack calories to fulfill the activities on that day. These problems will also affect the concentration and learning achievement of students. Based on the above problems it takes innovation in the school catering ordering service that provides innovations in school catering ordering and provides children nutrition supervision for parents who subscribe to catering. The development of school catering ordering applications is developed to help parents supervise the nutrients on each menu in the catering package to suit the needs of each child. Based on the usability test, the value of 87,125% results that indicates the catering booking app is eligible to be used and applied. In the test, functionality shows that the system is valid and worth using for school catering reservations.

Abstract

ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) is a protocol for addressing IP to the corresponding MAC Address in a local area network. Under normal circumstances a host on a local network will send ARP request packets that are broadcasted to obtain the MAC address of the destination host. When the host receives an ARP request addressed to it, the receiving host will send a unicast ARP reply packet to the sending host. Unfortunately, ARP does not provide an authentication mechanism for ARP replies intended for hosts that sent the packets. This enables every host on the network to fake ARP messages to poison the ARP cache of other hosts. ARP is vulnerable to attacks because it is a stateless protocol where ARP will accept and trust unsolicited replies so that spoof replies can be made to ARP requests. These spoofed replies can cause an ARP cache poisoning attack. ARP cache poisoning is an attack where an attacker sends a modified ARP packet to the local network. The modified packet causes the attacker's MAC address to be paired with the gateway's MAC address without the victim's knowledge that the entire traffic will pass through the attacker instead. In this study, handling of ARP cache poisoning attacks are done by analyzing the ARP packet traffic. ARP packages will be analyzed using wireshark and after a packet is considered to be a spoofed packet, prevention must be done. The types of treatment used in this study are Static ARP Entry and Persistent Arping. In this study, each type of treatment will be tested by measuring packet loss to the gateway when the ARP cache poisoning attack is in progress. The results between the two types of handling are an average of 0% packet loss when communicating to the gateway while an ARP cache poisoning attack is in progress using Static ARP Entry and an average of 53% packet loss while using Persistent Arping.
