Abstract

Penanggungan Village Office is an office that conducts management related to public services and population services located in Malang, especially in the District of Klojen. Based on the research results, there are several problems in the office related to management in archiving, reporting on data for monthly or annual data, management on citizen certificates, and no history of citizen letters. These problems make the staff in charge feel difficult in finding information and data, so the need for interface design by using a prototype to adjust user needs in the appearance of the Village management information system to expedite the performance of its services and expedite the work process. The desired interface is adjusted first to the needs of users using the help of Human-Centered Design (HCD) methods that aim as a focused approach to the user in the design. The evaluation applied was Heuristic Evaluation (HE) which aims to review the findings of problems on the prototype. The next evaluation is an interview to the user to validate the results of the prototype to do the display improvement process. Evaluations that have been carried out produced 16 problems. The results of this study are able to determine the design process and provide information on the results of the evaluation of the prototype design that has been made.

Abstract

The information technology was emphasized on concept of information share which aimed to support public service. This information was referred as valuable asset which needed to the government protection through the management of information security. Currently, the management of information security in Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (KOMINFO) Kota Malang has not been optimally implemented. This condition due to some technical problems related to information security issue which have been occurred repeatedly. On the evaluation of Electronic-Based Government System in 2018, KOMINFO has achieved less maximal result. The security was an important aspect in this valuation. Besides, the institution did not have certification on information security management system which was required by the Central Government. Therefore, this research aimed to evaluate the information security by means of KAMI index 4.0 version. Based on the evaluation, the result was exerted as a basic of improvement recommendation which functioned to support the process of information security improvement in appropriate to standard equipment SNI/ISO 27001:2013. Further, according to this evaluation result, it showed the Level of Completeness 246 and maturity level on level I+. Thus, from this last evaluation result, KOMINFO was categorized as not feasible to the completeness of standard implementation SNI/ISO 27001:2013. As the consequence, it resulted to 9 recommendations on governance area, 13 recommendation on risk management area, 12 recommendation on framework area, 16 recommendations on asset management area, 9 recommendations on technology and security area, and 9 recommendations on supplementary area which were proposed to complete the equipment of information security implementation.

Abstract

The k-means clustering method is a non-hierarchical grouping method that groups data into several centroid centers. The simplicity of the k-means method is widely used in various fields because it has several advantages, namely it is easy to implement and has a high level of accuracy of the size of the object so that this method is relatively more measurable and efficient. However, the initial k-means algorithm calculates using a C (centroid) value that randomly causes random results. Dependence on C (centroid) values ​​makes the accuracy of the k-means algorithm less than optimal. The results of k-means calculations are often obtained by experimenting several times and tend to produce different clusters. But in getting better results, it is difficult to determine the limits of an experiment. The random determination of cluster centers causes the k-means method has not been able to get the best grouping results. In this study, we describe an algorithm that is also used to optimize the selection of the initial center point in the k-means method, the pillar algorithm. This algorithm is an initial centroid determination by calculating the distance of metric accumulation between each data and all previous centroids. The choice of points is determined by data points that have a maximum distance. This research determines centroid using the Pillar algorithm and the results of the algorithm are used for the cluster's focal point on the k-means algorithm. In each cluster pillar algorithm is able to get the value of Sum of Squeared Error (SSE) better than random centroids as evidenced by the decreasing value of SSE.

Abstract

A project is a temporary activity that has a limit of time, scope and cost. Projects have many types, one of which is software project. Software house work on various types of software project. Each type of a project has different stages to develop according to the provisions of the software house or a project manager. In the same time, software house usually works at least 1-3 projects divided into several team. Each project is led by different project manajer in which, a project manager on particural project can be a team member of another project. A project manager is confused to monitor the progress of the project he leads and work on other projects. The solution provided is to build a system that can manage a project using kanban for management that can help the project manager and team member. By using kanban, a project manager can visualize each stages to complete a project. In this research the system development using Rapid Application Development (RAD) method with Object-Oriented (OO) approach and build on website platform. Testing on this system has been successfully tested including unit testing and integretion testing using basis path in white-box testing and validation testing in black-box testing and compatibility testing run well in 6 different browsers.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is one of the leading causes of death a disease because it can cause many health complications. Method that can help to diagnose this disease early is sorely needed. Genetic programming is a method used in this research. Genetic programming is one evolutionary algorithm that uses parse tree as its solution representation. This method will produce decision tree as its output which will be used to diagnose patients in the testing dataset. This research will also observe the correlation between genetic programming parameters and fitness value. Tree with highest fitness value produced with population number 900, maximum iteration 300, crossover rate 0.8, mutation rate 0.1 and training data with ratio of patient with diabetes and patient without diabetes 1:2. Decision tree produced with those parameters will be used to diagnose diabetes patient in testing data. The accuracy of decision tree produced with this method is 66,11%.

Abstract

Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world. With a large population, Indonesia is not immune to population problems. This happens because the rate of population growth is not accompanied by the provision of clothing, food, and shelter. In other words, the amount of population growth is not balanced with the availability of natural resources, services, and existing facilities. Therefore, predicting population growth is expected to help the government to overcome population problems. This paper will be using Feedforward Neural Network trained by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). PSO algorithm is considered to be able to overcome the weaknesses of the Backpropagation algorithm in training networks. In this study, the predicted error rate is calculated using Mean Average Percentage Error (MAPE). The smallest MAPE results obtained were 0,1599% using 6 input neurons, 4 hidden neurons, 1 output neurons in the network architecture, and the dataset used is the population of Malang City from January 2009 to June 2019. The MAPE results showed that PSO is able to train Feedforward Neural Network to predict the population growth of Malang City.

Abstract

Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is a wireless network technology that designed to monitor vital signs of human body health. WBAN could remotely check a patient's health condition so that the patient still be able to move freely. However, WBAN sensor devices has resource limitation such as communication capability, computational power, available memory and storage. One primising solution to the problem of process and manage large amount of medical data is to use cloud computing platform. However, WBAN sensor devices are mostly doesn't have ability to connect to internet. In this research, we proposed a gateway to connect between WBAN and cloud storage. The gateway is developed in a mobile platform so that the patient has mobile capability. The gateway also has store-forward mechanism to store and forward the data temporarily when the gateway doesn't have internet connection or lack of network infrastructure. ECG sensor (AD8232) is used in this research. Bluetooth Low Energy is used for sensor-gateway connection and MQTT for gateway-cloud connection.

Abstract

One of the disease that should be worried about and can cause the sufferer to have a risk of complications in several parts of the body is diabetic. If this disease attacked the blood vessel in the eye, this disease then called diabetic retinopathy. Diabetic retinopathy examination is carried out every six months including retinal imaging and analysis. The evaluation of retinal images become a serious burden for opthalmologists because the patients with diabetic retinopathy are increasing but the healthcare workers are limited. One way to alleviate the ophthalmologist's workload is to use computer assistance with Multi-Scale Line Strength algorithm for features extraction and Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification algorithm for segmenting the retinal images in a supervised way and the Optic Disc Exclusion algorithm for eliminating the optic disc area in the segmentation result images. The performance of these algorithm is measured in the DRIVE dataset. The accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity obtained from the Multi-Scale Line Strength algorithm combined with SVM are 0,94021, 0,61084, and 0,99693. If those algorithm is combined with the Optic Disc Exclusion algorithm, the performance results are 0,94014, 0,60277, and 0,99694. Both performance results are obtained at window size 13.

Abstract

PT. Petrokopindo Cipta Selaras (PCS) is a subsidiary of PT. Petrochemical Gresik. PCS is engaged in services, one of which is fertilizer distribution. The problem that often occurs in the process of fertilizer distribution is that Operational Employees who work in the field experience obstacles in reporting their duties, this is because the location is quite far (an average of more than 5 km) from the Head of Division. Because of this, the Head of Sector has difficulty monitoring ongoing tasks. In the end, all of that impacts on the Accounting Field that cannot receive the results of reports from each field quickly and efficiently, so that the Accounting Field cannot freely anticipate losses that occur suddenly amid the ongoing distribution process. Based on the problems that have been explained, then developed a distribution management information system to overcome these problems. Development is carried out with an object oriented approach and the waterfall method. The flow of research carried out is the study of literature, needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, drawing conclusions and suggestions. In the needs analysis phase it produces 40 functional needs and one non-functional requirement. At the design stage, three types of design are produced, namely architectural design, component design, and database structure design. The implementation phase is done in PHP and Codeigniter framework. At the test stage unit testing and integration with the white box approach are 100% valid. Validation testing using the black box approach yields 100% valid. Compatibility testing performed on the Google Chrome and Firefox browsers yields 100% valid.

Abstract

The Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Brawijaya (FKG UB) is a faculty at Brawijaya University which was established in 2008. FKG UB provides a website as a medium for delivering information, most of which have menus that have been set in Surat Keputusan tentang Website UKPA Universitas Brawijaya. The background of the problems found as the basis of this research is that users find it difficult to find certain information, and the placement of content that is difficult to find. Then based on needs, FKG UB's website will experience the addition of some content. Based on these problems and needs, the researcher conducted an evaluation using tree testing by measuring aspects of success rate, directness, first click, and destination to find out more about problems in website flow and navigation, and also researchers conducted card sorting testing to structure information structure from the website without changing the provisions of Surat Keputusan tentang Website UKPA Universitas Brawijaya. Researcher used the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach to produce a sitemap recommendation as an information structure of the website, and recommend improvements in the form of design. This study produces recommendations for improvement that are appropriate to the needs of users, and evaluation of the design of solutions has been carried out to prove that in some of the same scenarios, the evaluation results add value.
