Abstract

Current technological developments, especially in the IT field have been developing very rapidly. Now, by using the internet, we can do anything even though we are far apart. One technology that utilizes the internet is a monitoring system or commonly called the Internet of Things. At present, the number of users of electricity is increasing from year to year. One of the services currently available is postpaid electricity service. However, in the distribution of electricity usage data is still done conventionally and data retrieval is done in an uncertain time span. From these problems, data collection and transmission can be carried out in a more efficient way by monitoring electricity usage in realtime on a publish-subscribe-based MQTT protocol. The monitoring system that is run has a small delay, which is 11 ms. In addition, the MQTT protocol can also be run on limited network conditions, namely on network conditions that have low bandwidth. At 32KBps the average delay is 17 ms. So the system can be run on a limited network.

Abstract

Nodeflux is an artificial intelligence company that has a core focus on developing computer vision technology. Nodeflux wants to redesign their website to be more informative, because more information is wanted to be given to users. The website must be able to clearly convey what the company has to offer, and user easily finding the information. In developing this website, Nodeflux using the agile development method. But, the agile method does not consider the UX aspect, this study aims to apply the UX aspect that is in line with the agile stage. This research using the Perspective-Based Inspection method, and using the UX Honeycomb as parameter. First step is a Small Up-Front Analysis (SUFA) to explore system needs, then create a conceptual design by dividing into three perspectives, namely ecology perspective, interaction perspective, and emotional perspective. Next, create a user story and make wireframe using the guidelines of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The next stage is to the design of user experience stage, which starts with the stage of making hi-fi prototypes by providing colors that match with the company's brand. Then go to the sprint user experience stage, which is sprint planning, the results of which will be done by the developer. Then in the sprint review stage, testing is done by 2 participants using the Rapid Iterative Testing and Evaluation (RITE) method and the test results are evaluated by 3 experts using Perspective-Based Inspection. The results of the review will be taken to the sprint retrospective to enter the next sprint backlog. This was repeated until Sprint - IV was completed. After all the work is done, the final result is an improvement of the design of the Nodeflux company website. This study resulted in an increase in the value of user experience on usable, useful and findable values ​​obtained from the results of qualitative evaluations conducted by experts.

Abstract

Motor vehichle is a kind of transportation mode that are popular among people in Indonesia. Annually the increase in number of drivers is growing rapidly. Safety always comes first in driving for the sake of avoiding accidents. Accidents occur because of many driver's negligence factors such as drowsy when driving, bad facilities and infrastructure, using device that takes away your attention from the road and ignorant of the speed limit sign. For sake of helping the drivers to manage their speed according to the sign, it is needed of a system that can help remind the driver of the existence of the sign. Before fulfilling the task of reminding the drivers surely the system would need to be able to detect and recognize the speed sign. In this research the writer would want to propose the usage of Circle Hough Transform as the method of detection dan Convolutional Neural Network as the method of recognition with the purpose of knowing the performance of both method in doing their task. Both of the methods are in the field of study of Digital Image Processing and Machine Learning respectively that is well-known with its big computational need. The big computational need is the reason minicomputer Raspberry Pi is chosen as the base processing unit of the system compared to microcontroller. The result of testing for detection and recognition are 61.3% and 75% respectively. Looking from the results the methods that are proposed are not great but the writer believe that for the future research there is still room for improvement of the Circle Hough Transform and Convolutional Neural Network.

Abstract

Twitter is popular social media in great demand because it provides information needed by many internet users. Such information can be in the form of opinions, questions or review of a product's good or bad. Diverse smartphone product reviews make it difficult for companies to know people's interests and opinions on the smartphone product. To find a solution for this problem, sentiment analysis system is needed on tweets about smartphone products. This research conducted a sentiment analysis with the K-Nearest Neighbor (textual) method to carry out the classification process and add weighting features to the number of likes (non-textual). The result of combining intellectual and non-textual weighting with certain constants is α constans and β constans will produce a class of positive and negative sentiments. The data was used is taken from Twitter in the form 300 data tweets of smartphone product reviews. The test results of 210 training data and 90 test data with textual weighting obtained an accuracy of 91.01%, using only non-textual weighting of 68.53% and combining textual and non-textual weighting resulted an accuracy of 94.38%

Abstract

Brawijaya Smart School Senior High Malang every months did performance assessments for their teachers and employees. However, there still some problems such as printing and distributing questionnaires is inefficient, requiring costs and energy. As well as not using particular system or method in processing the results of the questionnaire into values and graphics for monthly reports and determine the best teacher or employee. K-Means clustering is used to divide teachers and employees into groups based on value result from questionnaire. Furthermore, the Analytical Hierarchy Process used to rank the teachers and employees by using priority choices from various alternatives. Results of analysis using Elbow, SSE, Connectivity, Dunn Index, and Silhouette width, the optimal number of clusters is 2 and 3. Then the teachers and employees rankings are generated on each cluster along with overall rankings and per criteria. The Spearman correlation test results in data 1 is 0.771 and data 2 is 0.888 where both show a strong correlation. Scatter plots both show positive correlation. The dashboard system is generated in the form of a graphics of the number of teachers and employees, clusters and members of each cluster, and list of teachers and employees with the Usability Testing calculation using the System Usability Testing (SUS) method showing a value of 72, 5 which is an acceptable categories.

Abstract

The existing IoT middleware has been developed to answer the challenge of syntactical interoperability by creating a gateway so that it can communicate through the CoAP, MQTT and WebSocket protocols. However, the middleware can accept data from anywhere and various nodes that are not entitled to connect to the middleware. So we need an additional mechanism on the IoT middleware to authenticate the node that will communicate. Authentication is a guarantee that all involved in system communication are valid entities. Therefore, in this research, the development of IoT middleware is done by adding the JSON Web Token (JWT) authentication mechanism. JWT is a token that represents a concise message called claims and is protected by a digital signature, in addition, JWT tokens have an expiration time. JWT tokens are used because of their compact size so they can be sent via URL, query or header. Based on the test results, the authentication mechanism that is applied is able to authenticate the token sent by the node. The impact of applying the authentication mechanism to the IoT middleware causes the node to increase the time it takes to establish connections and publish or subscribe. Compared to IoT middleware without authentication, the average time difference generated is below 30 milliseconds.

Abstract

The OVO application is an e-money application used in the digital. Usage of the OVO application has started since 2017 which has over a million user based on the statistics garnered from the playstore and a short survey conducted by the author, the OVO application has gathered many complaints about its features and display. Therefore, the researcher conducted an evaluation using the diary study method to gain a detailed and conceptual insight on experiences and responses in regards to the usage of the OVO application to know the user experience because there has not been a user experience evaluation towards the OVO application. The diary study method was conducted with interviews, scenario work, and documentation towards five respondents over the course of 2 weeks. During the process of analyzing the diary study data, the author utilized a user journey method to map the user's journey when interacting with the application, which was being researched therefore gaining a journey map of each user containing details such as stage, touchpoint, thinking and feeling and ideas for improvement. The problems found in this research was about the improvement of features and display. Recommendation results regarding features and display was gained by looking at the journey map of the user which were then used as a base for improvement and creation of a prototype user interface. The success rate of the overall process of this research was calculated based on validation result from interviews from respondent and expert regarding the improvement of the display of the user interface which was conducted to gain data which corresponded with the goal of this research.

Abstract

The Bonsai Community located in Batu City has its own name, the Indonesian Bonsai Fans Community (PPBI). PPBI community which is an organization for bonsai lovers with the aim to preserve bonsai plants. The PPBI community is also usually appointed as the organizer of an event at a bonsai event, such as a race or bonsai trading activity. In a bonsai event, after the competition session a bonsai trading session will be opened, and the community at this session acts as the organizer only allowing a few sellers to sell according to specified conditions and the community also provides a place for sales. Furthermore, a buyer can make purchases and order bonsai that have been selected directly. This activity raises several problems that can disrupt the activities of buying and selling bonsai, including the uncertainty of a buyer in preparing the costs for buying bonsai. If the seller's problem is to have to bring the bonsai directly to be sold to a place of sale that is not necessarily sold. This can be a burden for each party because they have to prepare everything related to the process of buying and selling bonsai. Then a solution to this problem was found that could be taken as a background for conducting this research. In this study also identified to manage the overall process of buying and selling bonsai which will then be implemented with a website platform that focuses on the marketplace using the Laravel framework and with a variety of PHP, HTML and CSS languages. Then a needs analysis has been found with the results of 19 functional needs and only 1 non-functional requirement. The system development carried out by researchers applies a method, namely the Rapid Application Development (RAD) development method, which has several stages, such as business modeling, data modeling, process modeling, application generation and testing. After the developed system has gone through the implementation stage, the system is then tested with several stages, including unit testing and integration with 100% valid results, validation testing with 100% valid results and non-functional testing, namely usability yields a value of 79 which means getting acceptable predicate or this system already meets the needs of users and is suitable for use.

Abstract

Technology continues to develop to the phase where human daily activities can be carried out by artificial intelligence. Research on artificial intelligence keeps on competing to produce more advanced program to simplify things. Nowadays artifial intelligence tools can be found in various application, one of them is self-driving car. This topic is one of the most widely researched topic due to its various division of functionality. The most frequently discussed functionality is the defining of navigation lane model. The lane model which is the navigation direction of a self-driving car must be visually determined based on the road markings, which also the navigation direction directions of public vehicles. Therefore, this study will determine the lane model visually using image processing methods. By only using image processing, the resulting precision can reach an average value of 88.45% in various road conditions. Therefore, it can be concluded that the visual image processing can be used to determine the lane model in a self-driving car.

Abstract

UKM Bali Tekindo Jaya is one of the small and medium-sized businesses that offers repair and installation services in electronic appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, rice cookers, washing machines, water heaters, and so on. In running a business, improving the quality of service to customers certainly needs to be supported by good and effective business management so that a management system is needed that can help maximize business services in Bali Tekindo Jaya SMEs. To help manage the business management of Bali Tekindo Jaya SMEs, this document discusses the development of a website-based management system that uses the CodeIgniter framework with php languages ​​and MySQL as the database. This system focuses on business management equipped with booking service features, agendas, reports, assessments, testimonials, and notifications using the SMS Gateway. The test results carried out by the black box and white box method on the website show that all functional systems can be run properly, which is valid in all test cases. The systems usability shows that the system satisfying user also the systems compatibility testing carried out on various web browsers shows that the management system that has been developed does not have significant problems when run on various browsers.
