Abstract

This study aims to support Jigsaw learning and problem based learning models (PBL) in the development of students' thinking skills. This study used an experimental design using a pretest-posttest group pre-experimental design. The collaboration model implementation was carried out at Pelita Indonesia Computer Science College, Pekanbaru involving 17 semester III students majoring in Informatics Engineering. Before and after the implementation of collaboration 2 models, students were given a test of critical thinking skills that arranged in the same composition. The research data in the form of pretest and posttest scores conducted by t-test and the calculated gain scores are supported by the SPSS 25 program. These scores indicate the difference between the pretest score and posttest score with a significance result of 0,000 <0.05. The average pretest and posttest scores were respectively called 46.06 and 70.59. Thus, the implementation of the Jigsaw collaboration model and problem-based learning (PBL) is effective for developing students' critical thinking skills. From the findings of this study, there are obstacles that limit time in implementing the collaboration of the two models. This obstacle occurs when presenting the results of group discussions.

Abstract

Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah untuk mengakaji bagaimana magang dapat melihat kesiapan kerja mahasiswa setelah menyelesaikan pendidikan. Pendekatan penelitian ini dengan mengeksplorasi persepsi mahasiswa tentang kesiapan kerja setelah program magang diselesaikan. Konsep kesiapan kerja adalah konsep dalam hal kejelasan peran, kemampuan dan motivasi. Hasil penelitian mahasiswa yang telah menyelesaikan magang, menilai secara positif atas segala aspek kesiapan kerja yang dibangun pada saat magang. Sehingga mereka mengerti apa yang diharapkan oleh pimpinan di tempat mereka magang. Mereka mampu secara efektif menerapkan keterampilan teknis dasar, keterampilan tingkat tinggi dan keterampilan profesional yang dibutuhkan oleh pimpinan tempat mereka magang.

Abstract

When student learning styles are known, teaching can be designed according to student interests through teaching strategies, teaching methods and techniques, and selecting and applying the necessary teaching tools. This research aims to describe vocational students' learning styles using Forster learning styles and investigate the relationship between these learning styles and mathematics learning achievement. Researchers analyzed vocational students' mathematics learning styles using the "How Do I Learn?" developed by Forster. By using a screening model and quantitative research methods, data collected. The collected data from the instrument containing questions related to the student's mathematics learning style are then processed using SPSS, analyzed using descriptive statistics and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Descriptive statistics were applied to view participant demographics and an overview of each learning style score, while one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was conducted to assess differences in mathematics learning styles among students based on mathematics scores. The results showed no relationship found between reflective, curious, diligent, and user learning styles using the questionnaire developed by Foster and the students' mathematics scores.

Abstract

The importance of the surface roughness value of a workpiece must be of concern to students and machine operators because the surface roughness of the workpiece becomes a benchmark for the use of a component in the machining plane and one of the significant influences on the surface roughness of the workpiece is the cutting speed parameter. To examine the extent of the effect of cutting speed on surface roughness, testing and analysis of the machining process results were carried out by varying three cutting speeds according to the material range and the type of cutting tool used. This study uses an experimental method, with the research object using steel ST-37 by making cuts on the surface. Test result data obtained that the average roughness price per rotation speed is (Ras) = 4.01μm for Cs 20 with a rotation speed of 530.78 Rpm. (∑Ras) = 2.84μm for cs 25 with a rotation speed of 663.48Rpm. (∑Ras) = 2.59 μm for cs 30 with a rotation speed of 796.18Rpm. With the roughness grade on the N8. So the conclusion in this study is that the higher the engine rotation speed, which is influenced by high cutting speed, the lower the surface roughness of the resulting workpiece.

Abstract

Pompa air tenaga surya adalah salah satu alternatif penyediaan air bersih untuk daerah yang belum terjangkau jaringan listrik. Pompa air tenaga surya membutuhkan peralatan yang dapat menaikan tegangan panel surya sesuai dengan rating tegangan motor pompa air dan inverter untuk mengkonversikan tegangan dc panel surya menjadi tegangan ac sesuai dengan tegangan motor pompa air. Paper ini mengusulkan inverter boost satu fasa untuk pompa air tenaga surya yang dapat menaikan sekaligus mengkonversikan tegangan dc menjadi tegangan ac tanpa menggunakan transformator. Modulasi inverter dirancang menggunakan metode Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) yang diimplementasikan dengan arduino uno. Pompa air tenaga surya diimplementasikan untuk penyediaan air bersih di Mesjid dengan menggunakan panel surya 300 WP. Hasil pengujian di lapangan menunjukan bahwa pompa air tenaga surya yang diusulkan telah bekerja dengan baik sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Inverter boost satu fasa yang diusulkan telah dapat mengkonversikan tegangan panel surya sesuai dengan rating tegangan motor pompa air.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun robot sepak bola beroda yang bergerak holonomic berbasis image processing untuk melakukan pendeteksian bola yang selanjutnya data tersebut menjadi kondisi pergerakan robot pada pertandingan. Sistem pergerakan robot pada penelitian ini menggunakan konfigurasi 3 roda omni yang membuat robot dapat bergerak secara holonomic. Image processing pada penelitian ini digunakan sebagai sistem deteksi bola pada robot yang diproses menggunakan laptop dan dibuat dengan bahasa pemograman python menggunakan pustaka open computer vision. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada sistem pendeteksian objek menggunakan satu kamera adalah keterbatasan area pendeteksian objek pada robot. Sehingga pada penelitian ini digunakan metode color filtering HSV dengan penerapan pada multivision. Penerapan metode pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan jarak pendeteksian objek yang dipengaruhi oleh reliabilitas segmentasi warna serta memperluas area pendeteksian objek pada robot. Kamera 1 digunakan untuk mendeteksi objek yang berada 120° di depan robot dan kamera 2 digunakan untuk mendeteksi objek yang berada 360° disekitar robot. Sehingga diperoleh kondisi - kondisi yang dapat memperbaiki kinerja pada sistem pergerakan robot. Hasil dari image processing menjadi data input sensor yang diterima oleh arduino mega 2560, pengiriman data tersebut menggunakan komunikasi serial port USB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kamera 1 dapat melakukan pendeteksian bola dengan jarak 0 - 12 m, dan kamera 2 dapat melakukan pendeteksian bola dalam radius 0 - 4 meter.

Abstract

The Arduino Uno-based three-wheeled motorcycle engine starting system aims to make it easier for motorcycle users to turn on and add motorcycle safety features from theft. The contact system and the starter system are controlled through the device. The research method used the development research model developed by Dick and Carey. The development research stages are defined, design, develop, and disseminate. The components needed are a battery, Arduino, Bluetooth, and two relays. The device controls this system through an android application developed by the researcher. The results of testing the engine start system using an Android smartphone are a series of techniques that can work by its function, and a Bluetooth connection on an Android smartphone can turn on the motorcycle engine start system at a distance of 1 to 9 meters. The Arduino Uno-based three-wheeled motorcycle engine starting system effectively minimizes inclination because motorbike users can only use it if they have a device that has the application installed.

Abstract

A diploma is a document of recognition of learning achievement from a level of education obtained after completing the study period after passing the final exam. The importance of the certificates' existence for working purposes has resulted in the proliferation of making and using fake certificates for various purposes such as applying for jobs, fulfilling the requirements to become members of the legislature, etc. The Diploma Information System using blockchain-based distributed computing can be one way to maintain the diploma's authenticity and validity. This study uses the waterfall method with several applications, ethereum remix ideas, ganache, and metamask, aiming to develop blockchain-based diploma information on STMIK Indonesia Padang by utilizing blockchain technology.

Abstract

The intensity of earthquakes increases from time to time both in number and in strength; recently, in Indonesia, damage to buildings by earthquake acceleration usually begins with damage to walls. Besides having a function as a barrier between spaces in construction, walls also have an essential role in increasing a building structure's rigidity. Mortar, which is usually used as a wall and plastering, has a role as a binder between the walls themselves' components so that quality mortar will help the walls be stronger. This research aims to produce the ideal mortar mixture with low price, high quality, and easy to obtain material. The proposed added composition was husk ash and Fosroc SP 337 additive, varied based on cement's weight. The yield of mortar with added ingredients will be compared with ordinary mortar without added ingredients. The specimens' manufacture used 20 samples of 5cm x 5cm x 5cm cubes with five variations of mortar composition, and mortar compressive strength testing was carried out at 7, 14, and 28 days of age. The maximum compressive strength obtained for mortar with the addition of 15% rice husk ash, 1% fosroc sp 337, and the combination of the two experienced an increase in the compressive strength value, the ratio of the average compressive strength of the mortar, the highest average compressive strength results in the mixture 1 PPC cement: 4 Sand with the addition of 15% rice husk ash: 1% fosroc sp 337 with an average compressive strength yield of 116.6 kg / cm² at the age of 7 days, 145.6 kg / cm² at the period of 14 days and 154.6 kg / cm² at the age of 28 days.

Abstract

Penggunaan media yang tepat dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dalam melengkapi strategi pembelajaran yang tepat, salah satu media yang cocok dalam era digitalisasi saat ini adalah modul e-learning, modul E-learning yang merupakan sumber belajar yang kekinian sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengembangkan modul e-learning berbasis LMS sebagai media interaktif pada mata pelajaran simulasi dan komunikasi digital. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah pengembangan model 4-D (Four D Models), yang terdiri dari define, design, development dan disseminate. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 3 orang validator desain dan 3 orang validator materi. Sedangkan uji praktikalitas yaitu 3 orang guru dan 30 orang siswa SMKN 1 Lubuksikaping pada mata diklat Simulasi dan Komunikasi Digital Kelas X DPIB dan Untuk uji validitas dan praktikalitas menggunakan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa uji modul e-learning terbukti valid dan praktis untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran simulasi dan komunikasi digital, sehingga dapat. Disimpulkan bahwa modul e-learning ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada pembelajaran simulasi dan komunikasi digital.
