Abstract

One of the courses at the faculty of Tarbiyah of the UIN Mataram that requires analytical skills of critical and creative is the Introduction to Basic Mathematics (PDM). This is because this course is the basic subject that requires prior knowledge that is qualified. Therefore, it needs to be studied on how the influences of the high school backgrounds and the majors of the study in the university on the learning outcomes of the PDM. The data of the research are 80 students majoring in Education of Mathematics and Education of Science who are from Islamic high school (MA) andhighschool(SMA). Thedataareobtainedbytheclusterrandom sampling technique and analyzed with a 2x2 factorial design. The ANAVA test results show that the high school backgrounds have real impact on learning outcomes of the PDM, while the majors have no significant effect on the learning outcomes of the PDM. What is more, the research also shows that the learning outcomes of the PDM of the students from the SMA are better than those of the students from theMA. Keywords: learning outcomes, attitude, and competence. Abstract

Religious harmony becomes more strong if it has any basis of historical experience. Such harmony is created by the community. The Muslim community of East Loloan- Bali becomes a model of this kind of creation of harmony. Although Muslims in Bali are minority in the number, they are free to perform their worship. There is a meeting point (kalimatun sawa’) from both Muslim and non-Muslim communities for a long time. In the past, they had the same commitment against the invaders. This togetherness is maintained until now in a different form. Although one of the Muslim leaders was in power in the community, the power is handed back to the Hindu community to maintain the continuity of harmonious relation among adherents of different religions. This tradition is maintained well up to now. Keywords: harmony, history, religiousness Kerukunan umat beragama makin menjadi kokoh jika mempunyai landasan pengalaman sejarah. Kerukunan seperti ini terbangun dengan sendirinya oleh masyarakat. Komunitas Muslim Loloan Timur Bali menjadi contoh model penciptaan kerukunan jenis ini. Meski muslim Bali termasuk minoritas dari sisi jumlah, mereka bebas menjalankan ibadahnya. Ada titik temu ( kalimatun sawā’) dari kedua belah pihak sejak lama. Dahulu melawan penjajah adalah komitmen bersama. Kebersamaan ini dipertahankan hingga kini dengan bentuknya yang lain. Meski salah satu tokoh Islam sempat berkuasa di Komunitas Loloan, toh akhirnya kekuasaan itu diserahkan kembali ke masyarakat Hindhu untuk menjaga keberlangsungan hubungan antar pemeluk agama yang berbeda ini. Kebertahanan tradisi menjaga kerukunan ini hingga kini masih bisa dirasakan. Kata Kunci: kerukunan, sejarah, keberagamaan

Abstract

Since its birth, Islam has brought a humanitarian mission as it is manifested in the apostolate of Muhammad with the main vision of mercy and kindness to humankind. Islamic education is built on the humanitarian mission with a goal to humanize humans (humanization). In other words, Islamic education is very close to human values. The thought about education that humanizes humans brings to the concept of humanistic education. The concept of humanistic education is strongly influenced by three philosophical thoughts namely pragmatism, progressivism, and existentialism. Each of them contributes a lot to the thoughts of humanistic education. Humanistic is interpreted more asone approach of education that uses humanism approach. This paper explores the process of humanizing humans (humanization) in the concept of humanistic education as an issue and the main goal since the birth of Islam. The process of humanizing people in Islamic education is manifested in the process of humanization, liberation, and transcendence which have strong roots in the teachings of Islam. Sejak kemunculannya, Islam membawa misi kemanusiaan sebagaimana termanifestasi dalam kerasulan Muhammad dengan visi utama memberikan rahmat dan kebaikan kepada seluruh umat manusia. Pendidikan Islam dibangun di atas misi kemanusiaan tersebut dengan tujuan memanusiakan manusia (humanisasi). Dengan kata lain, pendidikan Islam sangat dekat dengan nilainilai kemanusiaan. Pemikiran mengenai pendidikan yang memanusiakan manusia itulah yang melahirkan konsep pendidikan humanistik. Konsep pendidikan humanistik sangat dipengaruhi oleh tiga pemikiran filsafat yaitu pragmatisme, progresivisme, dan eksistensialisme. Masing-masing dari ketiga pemikiran tersebut memberi kontribusi besar bagi bangunan pemikiran pendidikan humanistik. Humanistik lebih dimaknai sebagai salah satu pendekatan pendidikan yang menggunakan kacamata humanisme. Tulisan ini mengetengahkan proses memanusiakan manusia (humanisasi) dalamkonseppendidikanhumanistiksebagaipersoalan yang sudah sejak kemunculan Islam menjadi tujuan utama.Proses memanusiakan manusia dalam pendidikan Islam termanifestasikan dalam proses humanisasi, liberasi, dan transendensi yang memiliki akar kuat dalam ajaran-ajaran Islam. Abstract

The community of Kokoda is a Muslim community of indigenous Papuans. Their existence in the city of Sorong begins from their migration from Inawatan, one of the hinterlands of West Papua. Islam is a religion of the majority of this community and only a few adherents are Christians. Both adherents are integrated in the same environment. The topic of interest in this study is the dialectic of Islam and the local wisdom that is understood and practiced by this community. In addition, the local wisdom that is practiced by both adherents is out of religious context, even the wisdom which is conceived as “brotherhood” or “sapu sodara” is preserved, maintained and preserved well until it ties emotional connection of Kokoda tribe. This research aims to find the dialectic of Islam and local wisdom in the context of religious understanding of Kokoda community. Therefore, three methods are used for this research namely observation, interview, and thick description. The data is processed by phenomenology analysis technique which is to uncover the social consciousness and collective consciousness of a community. The results of this study show that in fact the practice and religious understanding of the community of Kokoda are from a single concept of “brotherhood” or “sapu sodara”. Their knowledge of religious is based on trust and motivation. Meanwhile their practices are based on: 1) the establishment of committees of religious activities, 2) participation in giving alms, and 3) togetherness in ritual and ceremonial practices. There are two forms of local wisdom of Kokoda community namely: 1) through behavior and 2) refers to the knowledge (cognitive). The dialectic of religion and local wisdom in religious practices of Kokoda also seen in two things: 1) inclusion of religious practices, and 2) inter-religious acculturation. Keywords: Religion (Islam), local wisdom, dialectics, ideology and religious practices, Kokoda. Komunitas Kokoda adalah komunitas muslim yang berasal dari penduduk asli Papua. Eksistensinya di Kota Sorong diawali dengan migrasi dari Inawatan, salah satu daerah pedalaman Papua Barat. Islam merupakan agama mayoritas yang dianut oleh komunitas ini dan hanya sebagian kecil saja penganut Kristiani. Keduanya terintegrasi dalam lingkungan yang sama. Isu yang menarik dalam kajian ini adalah adanya dialektika agama (Islam) dan kearifan lokal yang dipahami dan dipraktikkan oleh komunitas ini. Selain itu, adanya kearifan lokal yang dipraktikkan kedua penganutnya [Islam-Kristen] di luar konteks agama, bahkan kearifan yang dikonsepsikan “persaudaraan” atau “sapu sodara” itu dipelihara, dijaga dan dilestarikan dengan baik hingga mengikat hubungan emosional-kesukuan Kokoda. Riset ini bertujuan mencari dialektika agama [Islam] dan kearifan lokal dalam konteks pemahaman keagamaan komunitas Kokoda. Karenanya, untuk mengupasnya digunakan tiga metode, yaitu observasi, interview, dan thick description. Data tersebut diolah dengan teknik analisis fenomenologi. Analisis ini untuk mengungkap kesadaran sosial dan kesadaran kolektif dari suatu komunitas tersebut. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa ternyata praktik dan pemahaman keagamaan komunitas Kokoda bersumber dari konsep tunggal “persaudaraan” atau “sapu sodara”. Pengetahuan keagamaannya dilihat pada unsur kepercayaan dan motivasi. Sedang praktiknya pada; 1) Pembentukan kepanitian kegiatankegiatan keagamaan. 2) Berpartisipasi memberikan sedekah, dan 3) Bersama-sama dalam ritual dan seremonialnya. Ada dua wujud kearifan lokal dari komunitas Kokoda; 1) Lewat Perilaku; 2) Mengacu pada pengetahuan (kognitif). Sedangkan, dialektika agama dan kearifan lokal dalam praktik keagamaan Kokoda juga dilihat dalam dua hal; 1) Inklusifitas praktik keagamaan dan 2) Akulturasi budaya antar agama. Abstract

Educationmustbeenjoyedbyallchildren,includingchildrenwith special needs. Currently education service for children with special needshasmanychanges.Thechangesincludeachangeinattitude of consciousness, condition, methodology, use of concepts, and shifting paradigm towards education of humanity. At first, the education service for children with special needs is in the form of educational segregation. Educational segregation is an education service for children with special needs where those who have the same barriers are in one school, for example, children with visual barriers are in the Special School (SLB) of A and children with auditory barriers are in the Special School (SLB) of B, and so on. Education service for children with special needs has been widely grown in the presence of integrated education service and inclusion in education. This paper discusses the integration of education and the inclusion in education. Keywords: education, integration, inclusion, and special needs. Pendidikan harus dapat dinikmati oleh semua anak, tidak terkecuali anak berkebutuhan khusus. Layanan pendidikan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus saat ini tengah mengalami banyak perubahan.Perubahan-perubahaninimeliputiperubahandalam kesadaran sikap, keadaan, metodologi, penggunaan konsepkonsep, dan perubahan paradigma menuju kepada pendidikan kemanusiaan. Pada awalnya, layanan pendidikan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus berupa pendidikan segregasi. Pendidikan segregasi merupakan layanan pendidikan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus dimana anak berkebutuhan khusus dengan hambatan yang sama berada dalam satu sekolah, misalnya anak dengan hambatan penglihatan berada di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) A, anak dengan hambatan pendengaran berada di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB)B, dan seterusnya. Layananpendidikanbagianakberkebutuhankhusustelahbanyak berkembang dengan adanya layanan pendidikan integrasi dan pendidikan inklusi. Abstract

The main source of the history of South Sulawesi is lontara’ including the historical development of Islam. Some manuscripts of lontara that provide information about the process of Islamization in South Sulawesi are: Lontara Bilang Gowa Tallo, Lontara’ Sukku’na Wajo and some others. The manuscripts also describe the fusion of custom norms called panngadakkang/ pangadereng with the norms of religion called sara’. Custom values get the same position with the religious values. Violations of the norms of religion are regarded as violations of the norms of custom. Integration of Islamic teachings into the custom and people’s lives led to the joints of the custom and people’s lives besides sara’ there are also ada’, rapang, wari’, and bicara. The example of custom that is held firmly is matanre siri’, which means having a high sense of shame and morality. Matanre siri’ is one of the requirements that must be owned by a leader. Having a sense of shame and noble character in Islam becomes the main mission of the Prophet, even having a sense of shame is part of one’s faith. The intermingling between the values of Islam and the local custom takes place throughout the region of South Sulawesi. As in Luwu, the structure of Palopo ancient city is still dominated by the influence of the local culture. This proves that the presence of Islam does not change the total socio-cultural images that have established. The reality shows that Islam just deconstructs the local culture to be accordance with Islamic aqidah (faith) and law according to al-Qur’ān and Hadith. Keywords: custom, lontara, norm, local policy Sumber informasi utama sejarah Sulawesi Selatan adalah lontara’, termasuk sejarah perkembangan Islam. Beberapa naskah lontara yang dapat memberikan tentang proses Islamisasi di Sulawesi Selatan antara lain: Lontara Bilang Gowa Tallo, Lontara’ Sukku’na Wajo, dan beberapa naskah lontara lainnya. Termasuk didalamnya digambarkan bagaimana terjadinya peleburan norma-norma adat yang disebut pangadakkang/ pangadereng dengan norma-norma agama yang disebut sara’. Nilai-nilai adat menjadi setingkat dengan agama. Pelanggaran terhadap norma-norma agama akhirnya identik dengan pelanggaran terhadap adat. Integrasi ajaran Islam ke dalam adat istiadat dan kehidupan masyarakat menyebabkan sendi-sendi adat-istiadat dan kehidupan masyarakat selain sara’ ada pula ada’, rapang, wari’, dan bicara. Contoh adat yang dipegang kokoh adalah matanre siri’ yang berarti mempunyai rasa malu yang tinggi dan berakhlak mulia. Matanre siri’ ini merupakan salah satu persyaratan yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang pemimpin. Rasa Malu dan akhlak mulia dalam Islam menjadi misi utama Rasulullah Saw, bahkan mempunyai rasa malu adalah bagian dari Iman seseorang. Pembauran antara nilai-nilai Islam dengan adat local berlangsung merata di wilayah Sulawesi Selatan. Seperti di daerah luwu, struktur kota kuno Palopo masih didominasi pengaruh budaya lokal. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa kehadiran Islam tidak merubah secara total citra-citra sosial budaya yang telah mapan. Abstract

Abstract This article proposes the whole-school approach model, an approach to put multicultural education as strategy to involve all the stakeholders of schools in one system. Islamic education is a sub system of multicultural national education system. Religious moderation in Islamic education is a hidden curriculum, to present Islam as moderate religion, not to serve religious subject as violence and extremism. The strategy or religious moderation can be seen from some aspects, such as teacher, textbook and extra-curricular activities. Abstrak Artikel ini menawarkan model whole-school approach, pendekatan yang memandang pendidikan multikultural sebagai sebuah strategi pendidikan yang melibatkan semua elemen sekolah sebagai sebuah sistem. Pendidikan Agama Islam merupakan sub sistem dari sistem pendidikan nasional yang multikultural. Moderasi beragama dalam pendidikan agama Islam dijadikan sebagai hiidden curriculum berarti cara mengajarkan pendidikan agama Islam yang moderat, bukan pendidikan agama yang mengajarkan kekerasan dan keekstreman. Strategi moderasi beragama dalam pendidikan agama Islam untuk masyarakat Indonesia multikultural dapat dilihat dari beberapa aspek antara lain guru, buku ajar dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler.

Abstract

Abstract Finland has been acknowledged as having the best education system in the world. Many countries, such as Australia, Japan and Singapore, adopted Finland education system. Those countries have reformed and transformed their education system, and now, those countries are listed in the best management and quality education countries. The integration among curricula, market and philosophical values of nation founding fathers as world view has resulted transformation of education. Programme for Internasional Student Assessment (PISA) 2019 assessed the quality of education in term of reading, math and science and made Indonesia ranked on the 72nd out of 77 countries. In other word, Indonesia is the 6th ranking from below. At the same time, Singapura took the runner up position. Indonesia has left behind from other countries, including Malaysia and Brunei. It is imperative for Indonesia to learn more to those countries which succeeded in designing the system of education. By doing this, Indonesia will be equal to neighboring countries. Abstrak Finlandia diakui memiliki sistem pendidikan terbaik di dunia. Banyak negara di dunia belajar dari kesuksesan Finlandia, seperti Australia, jepang dan singapura. Ketiga negara ini, telah melakukan reformasi bahkan transformasi pendidikan untuk memperbaiki sistem pendidikannya sehingga sekarang mampu menempatkan diri dalam jajaran negara-negara terbaik dalam manajemen mutu pendidikan. Sinergi aspek kebijakan, kurikulum dan pasar serta nilai-nilai filosofis sebagai pandangan hidup yang telah dilahirkan para pendiri bangsa telah melahirkan transformisme pendidikan. Pada tahun 2019, Programme for Internasional Student Assessment (PISA) yang merupakan lembaga survei kualitas pendidikan di dunia dari aspek kemampuan membaca, matematika, dan sains telah menempatkan Indonesia pada urutan 72 dari 77 negara. Jadi, Indonesia berada pada peringkat keenam dari bawah sedangkan Singapura berada pada posisi kedua terbaik dan juga jauh tertinggal di belakang negara-negara tetangga lainnya, seperti seperti Malaysia dan Bruai Darusaalam. Indonesia harus banyak belajar dari negera-negara yang telah sukses mendesain sistem pendidikan yang baik sehingga kualitas, mutu pendidikan dapat disejajarkan dengan negara-nega lainnya.

Abstract

Abstract This writing discusses the influence of Ushul and Fiqh principles toward the Ulema's and Muslim scholars' opinion differences regarding fiqh issues, particularly on the legal status of profession zakat. The emergence of pros and cons on profession zakat laws can not be separated from its legal foundation, which lies in the Quran that has global nature so that it needs ushul and fiqh principles as the analysis tools to formulate the laws. This article uses a normative research framework (doctrinal) in Islamic laws, i.e., legal rules in the Quran, hadith, and ushuliyah and fiqhiyyah principles, as the legal parameter generated in this research. This article concludes that there is a difference in legal opinion for profession zakat; that is, the first group says it is mandatory, and the second group opposes the obligation of profession zakat. The differences occur because of the distinction in applying the principles of ushul and fiqh and comprehending the different principles. The principles of ushul and fiqh used in interpreting the text also need to consider the existing reality to create dialectics between text and context. Abstrak Tulisan ini mendiskusikan tentang pengaruh kaidah ushul dan kaidah fiqih terhadap adanya perbedaan pendapat para ulama dan cendekiawan muslim pada masalah fiqih, khususnya tentang status hukum zakat profesi. Adanya pro dan kontra tentang hukum zakat profesi tidak terlepas dari persoalan dasar hukumnya yang ada di dalam al-Quran yang bersifat global, sehingga perlu kaidah ushul dan kaidah fiqh sebagai pisau analisis untuk merumuskan hukumnya. Dalam artikel ini menggunakan kerangka penelitian normatif (doktrinal) dalam hukum Islam yaitu aturan hukum yang ada dalam al-Quran, hadis dan kaidah-kaidah ushuliyah dan fiqhiyyah sebagai barometer keabsahan hukum yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini. Dalam artikel ini disimpulkan bahwa adanya perbedaan pandangan hukum zakat profesi terbagi menjadi dua pandangan; kelompok pertama mengatakan wajib, dan kelompok kedua menentang kewajiban zakat profesi. Hal ini terjadi karena penggunaan kaidah ushul dan fiqh yang berbeda dan cara memahami kaidah yang berbeda. Kaidah-kaidah ushul dan kaidah fiqih yang digunakan dalam menginterpretasi teks juga perlu mempertimbangkan realitas yang ada, sehingga ada dialektika antara teks dan konteks.
