Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of Supervisor Support (SS), Work-Life Balance (WLB), Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance moderated by age, gender, education, and marital status on IT employees. Refer to the theory and empirical evidence from previous research, we collect the data by distributing online questionnaires from November to December 2020 at some IT sector companies in the cities of Tangerang and Jakarta. The respondents are IT employees who were selected by purposive sampling method with the category non-managerial level. This study uses the PLS-SEM method. The results prove that SS, WLB, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment all have positive effects on IT employee performance. While the moderation results in this study as a whole there are no significant differences between groups of age, gender, education, and marital status with the effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on IT employee performance. The important managerial implications for the companies to improve the performance of IT employees are by changing the company's internal culture to be more open, creating or strengthening the warm and ‘kinship’ work environment, and organize a routine togetherness program. This will encourage positive changes for employees and be a benefit for the company. Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate a financial management behavior scale. This study used the approach of measuring instrument modification by applying the existing theory into a statement that will be used as an instrument to see the condition of a person's financial management behavior. The researchers used the basic theory of Dew and Xiao (2011) which divides financial management behavior into the consumption dimension, cash flow management dimension, savings and investment dimension, and debt management dimension. The subjects involved in this study were 391 people who were postgraduate students in the capital city of Jakarta and were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis with AMOS software were used in this study. The results of the analysis showed that the financial management behavior scale developed by the researchers has met the fit model and produced a valid statement which is ready to be used to measure the behavioral conditions of one's financial management specifically in the student context. The limitations and suggestions will be discussed further in this article. Keywords— Financial Management; Financial Management Behaviour; Scale Development; Scale Validation

Abstract

Many local film industries in developing economies are struggling to compete with foreign film hits. Surprisingly, despite the high exposure from imported films, the Indonesian film industry has maintained a robust domestic market in the last decade. This study aims to gather insights from this phenomenon by examining the key factors that distinguish the profiles of non-successful and successful local films at the Indonesian box office. The analysis was conducted based on the characteristics of 225 local films from 2017 to 2018. We employed a recent method to generate such profiles, namely the tree-based comparative analysis, which uses a machine learning model to augment the cross-case comparisons from a large pool of data. The study result suggests that the success of local films is mainly driven by the actor's popularity and the presence of foreign movie hits at the box office. Besides, we also found that the distinction between moderately successful and highly successful local films predominantly lies in story familiarity, suggesting the efficacy of the "brand extension" strategy in the Indonesian film industry. The study concludes by offering some managerial insights for producers and distributors to deliver successful films at the box office. Keywords— local film; Indonesian box office; success profiles; tree-based comparative analysis

This study aims to analyze the effects of YouTube influencers’ source credibility and the information quality of the platform on destination image and young travellers’ intention to visit a destination. Stimulus-organism-response (SOR) theory was adopted to develop the tested research model. This study applied a quantitative approach where primary data was collected through online surveys to 198 YouTube subscribers who had watched the examined YouTube channels’ content. The PLS-SEM technique was utilized to assess the structural model in the study. The results of this study show that source credibility had a significant positive effect on information quality, destination image, and visit intention. The information quality positively affected destination image but did not directly impact the visit intention. Furthermore, the destination image significantly mediates the effect of source credibility and information quality on visit intention. This study enriches the literature on the relationships among source credibility, information quality, and how these credibility and information quality could influence the destination image and young travellers’ intention to visit a destination in an emerging country like Indonesia.
