This research was aimed at describing the improvement of skill in writing paragraph using puzzle for students of grade III at SD Negeri Rejowinangun 1 Yogyakarta. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles. The result of this research showed that by using puzzle as the media could improve the skill in writing paragraph for students in class IIIA at SD Negeri Rejowinangun 1 Yogyakarta. The students’ mean score obtained in the pre-test was 65,08 and increased into 78,4 in the post-test of Cycle I and then become 83,16 in the post-test of Cycle II. Based on the result of the research above, it could be concluded that the use of puzzle as the media could improve third grade students’ skill in writing paragraphs at SD Negeri Rejowinangun 1 Yogyakarta.

Children literature is a book reading that is intentionally provided for consumed by children. The presence of literature for children meant that children as readers can obtain pleasant entertainment and helpful for them. One of the benefits of children's literature as a media of planting multicultural insights. Faced with the reading of literature, children can meet with cultural insights from various social groups from various parts of the world. Through literature can be found a variety of attitudes and behaviors that reflect the culture of a society different from other societies. Â

 Abstract: The purpose of this research was to describe the increase of telling experience skills through role play methods in III grade students of SD Tirtomulyo Bantul academic year 2014/2015. This methods of this research was Classroom Action Research. The quantitative data analysis was used to analyze the test results and qualitative was used to analyze the result of observation. Based on observation of the learning process, the students ability to tell the esxperience increased after using role play methods. The success or increasing the quality of learning seen from the learning process and increasing students learning behaviors of each cycle. The average score of the test telling experience skillswas increased after actioning in cycle I and cycle II. The average value in pra-action which was 65,29 increased to 67,65 in cycle I. In cycle II increased to 72,69. Percentage of students obtained KKM also increased. In pra-action percentage reached 41.18%, in the cycle I increased to 47.06% and the cycle II becomes 76.47%. It shows that the method of learning role play has a positive effect that is the result of an increase in the test telling experience skills of III grade students of SD Tirtomulyo Bantul academic year 2014/2015.Â

This study aimed to describe (1) correlation between learning motivation with learning achievement of social science subject, (2) correlation between parents’ parenting with learning achievement of social science subject, (3) correlation between learning motivation and parents’ parenting with learning achievement of social science subject among the third grade students of state elementary school in Prambanan District. The type of this study was ex-post facto. Data collecting techniques used questionnaire and documentation. Data analyzing techniques used descriptive technique and hypothesis testing by using double regression with two predictors that was started by independence test, normality test, and linearity test. This study shows that the correlation coefficient of each independent variable has a positive correlation with dependent variable. The score of = 0.24585 > rtable 0.18588, it means that learning motivation has a positive and significant correlation with learning achievement of social science subject. The score of = 0.23821 > rtable 0.18588, it means that parents’ parenting has a positive and significant correlation with learning achievement of social science subject. The study shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between learning motivation and parents’ parenting with learning achievement of social subject (R= 0.32811 and Freg = 6,575 > Ftable = 3.0828). The score of R2 is 0.10766, it means that learning motivation and parents’ parenting gives contribution 10.766% toward learning achievement of social science subject, while 89.234% was influenced by other factors that were not entered in regression model. Learning motivation gave effective contribution 5.59648% toward learning achievement of social science subject and parents’ parenting gives contribution 5.19646% toward learning achievement of social science subject.

Human Rights are a foundamental problem in every country, especially in the developing country such as Indonesia. Eventhough, the state had given protection of human right for every body, but in Indonesia there a many breakdowns of it. As a democratic state, Indonesia has to regard human right. It is beause the human rights were the core of democratic principle. So, the human rights must be trained in the school for every student. By using this way, every body can know what their rights and obligations verywell. Civis eduation can be a vehicle for this goal, because it’s one of lessons that talk about human rights and be learned in all school.

 ABTRACT  This study aimed to know (1) the category of learning achievement of civic education subject by using numbered head together, (2) the category of learning achievement of civic education subject by using conventional teaching method, and (3) the difference of learning achievement of civic education subject by using numbered head together and conventional teaching method. The type of this study was quasi experiment. Data collection techniques used documentation and test. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing by using z test that was started by homogeneity variance test and normality test. This study shows that (1) the category of learning achievement of civic education subject by using numbered head together was in fair category with the mean score 19.62 in the interval between 18,496 < x≤ 20,744. (2) The category of learning achievement of civic education subject by using conventional teaching method was in fair category with the mean score 17.55357 in the interval between 16,484 < x ≤ 18,623. (3) The score of z obs = 4.846 > z table = 1,65. It was means there was a positive and significant the difference of learning achievement of civic education subject by using numbered head together and conventional teaching method.Â

The purpose of this research in a descriptive manner is to know the learning achievement’s preference of fourth grade students at negeri 1 Joton elementary school in the academic year 2014/2015 which the learning uses audiovisual media and the learning don’t audiovisual media. According to comparative, to know the differences of science learning achievement students of four grade in odd semester at negeri 1 Joton elementary school in the academic year 2014/2015 between taught with audiovisual media and without audiovisual media. The results showed that the tendency of science learning achievement of fourth grade students of at negeri 1 Joton elementary school in the academic year 2014/2015 a which the learning uses audiovisual media, including very high category on the average of 23.500 and learning without the use of audiovisual media in the high category with a average of 18,500. In the t-test obtained thitung = 3.999 and p = 0.001, for p <0.01 then the comparability of results of the t-test is concluded that there are very significant differences in learning achievement IPA fourth grade students of at negeri 1 Joton elementary school between learning using media audiovisual and without the use of audiovisual media.

 Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe improve the observation report writing skill through Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in fifth grade students of State Primary School of 1 Blimbing Karangnongko Klaten. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Research conducted at fifth grade of State Primary School of 1 Blimbing Karangnongko Klaten academic year 2014 / 2015. The research subject was all of the fifth grade students amount 22 students. The object of research is the observation report writing skill through Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study was conducted in two cycles. The writer obtained the data from observation result, interview, document and test. The results showed an increase in the observation report writing skill through Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. It is proven on the first condition is 60,23. It means that the class achievement percentage is 31,82%. In the fist cycle, the class average mark is 66,36. It means that the class achievement percentage is 54,55%. In the second cycle, the class average mark became 78,18. It means that the class achievement percentage is 90,91%. The result of this research is Problem Based Learning (PBL) could improve students skill of observation report writing in fifth grade students of State Primary School of 1 Blimbing Karangnongko Klaten.Â

 Abstract: The objectives of this study were to describe (1) learning activities and (2) learning achievement of IPS by using picture and picture model among the sixth grade students of state elementary school 1 of Muntihan Gantiwarno Klaten. This study was a classroom action research. The data were collected by using observation, test, and documentation methods. The data quantitative from the results of observation were analyzed by using quantitative analysis by looking for the average and percentage, while the analysis of learning achievement used descriptive analysis by looking for the average and the students’ tasks. This study shows that (1) the percentage of each activity aspects increased. The average of students who did the activities in pre cycle was 10 students or 10% in fair category. In cycle 1, there were 15 students with the percentage 63% in high category, and in cycle II, there were 18 students or 77% in very high category. (2) The average score of pre cycle was 64.78 and became 71.30 in cycle I with the success level increased 6.52%. The average of cycle II was 71.30 in cycle I and became 78.83 with the success level increased 7.53%. Based on those averages, the averages of learning activities was ≥ 70% and learning achievement of IPS was up to school standard score 70.Â

The purpose of this research to test the effectiveness of using interactive multimedia learning compared to conventional learning. This research was conducted in SDN Jurug Sewon with all population of fifth grade consists of three classes is 75 students. Samples were taken using cluster random sampling. Data collection technique used documentation and tests techniques. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing using t-test that begins with the analysis prerequisite test including normality test distribution and homogeneity of variance. Results obtained by analysis = 6,418 > = 1,678, that mean, using interactive multimedia had significant effect. Percentage completeness of student learning outcomes experimental group and the control group was 79.17% and 16% with a mean of 78.67 for the experimental group and 56.48 for the control group. In such a way, learning using interactive multimedia was effective for learning outcomes Mathematical fifth grade students of SDN Jurug Sewon.
