Abstract

 Abstract: This study aims to find the implementation of character education students in learning musical in SD N Bangunharjo Sewon Bantul. This study a qualitative research study used to examine the condition of natural objects. The subjects of this study consisted of one principal, one teacher musicians, two classroom teachers and six student representatives I AB, IIAB and III AB. Research data collection techniques is done by observation, interview and documentation. The data obtained are tested its validity by increasing persistence and triangulation. Data analysis techniques to interview is with data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that in SD N Bangunharjo Sewon Bantul has sought integrated implementation of character education in musical learning by way of informing students when in SD N Bangunharjo No musical learning in which form the character of the child, the child habituation to the musical arts, animating or more children give priority to the wishes of students, make learning karawitan be fun and not boring as an example once a month are invited to see performances in the ISI and included musical competitions, motivate students about Indonesian culture. Instill character in a way trained through a variety of musical learning as an example of the cohesiveness play musical rhythm of the music, polite, responsible for the musical instruments being played, discipline in part-bain instrument. Of musical learning are taught the values of the characters that appear are manners, religious, patriotism, curiosity, communicative, sense of nationality, discipline, honesty, responsibility, independence and tolerance, trying to establish the values of other characters. However, in implementing the character education has factors supporting and inhibiting factors are already available supporting factors specific musical teacher, has been the availability of rooms musical, student interest and involvement of all teachers while inhibiting factors are still many students who love to interfere with his friend, student street fro, less learning time, the tool is simple and less complete musical instruments as well as students are more pleased with today's technology.

Abstract

The literary is the result of creativity, initiative, and the human work close to the public. Most of the literary can be describe the life in the community, can take the form of fiction and reality. One type of literary in short stories. The short story as a story has builder elements one of which is a plot. One part from the plot is the conflict that makes a story more lively and give memorable to readers. Interestingly conflict there in the short story titled “Robohnya Surau Kami”by AA Navis. Kakek Garinfigure in these stories suffered enormous psychological conflicts that he was not sure with what has been carried out during life. Kakek Garinvery religious, but ended his life by suicide. The thing that makes this short story is very interesting to read and has a lot of moral values that can be taken the lesson. The moral values such as the value of perseverance and faith in God and do not like to brag because it would be bad for everyone else.

Abstract

This study descriptively aimed to know (1) the category of motoric skill, (2) the category of intensity of the use of teaching media, and (3) the category of leaning achievement of science subject. This study correlatively aimed to know (1) correlation between motoric skill with leaning achievement of science subject, (2) correlation between intensity of the use of teaching media with leaning achievement of science subject, (3) correlation between motoric skill and intensity of the use of teaching media with leaning achievement of science subject among the fifth grade students of state elementary school in Alian District Kebumen in academic year 2015/2016. The type of this study was ex-post facto. Data collecting techniques used questionnaire and documentation. Data analyzing techniques used descriptive technique and hypothesis testing by using double regression with two predictors that was started by normality test and linearity test. This study shows that the correlation coefficient of each independent variable had a positive correlation with dependent variable. The study shows that there was a positive and significant correlation between motoric skill and intensity of the use of teaching mediawith leaning achievement of science subject(R = 0.50 and Freg = 16.42). The score of = 0.24, it means that motoric skill had a positive and very significant correlation with learning achievement of science subject. The score of = 0.37, it means that intensity of the use of teaching media had a positive and very significant correlation with learning achievement of science subject. Based on those results, it could be concluded that that there was a positive and very significant correlation between motoric skill and intensity of the use of teaching mediatogether with leaning achievement of science subject among the fifth grade students of state elementary school in Alian District Kebumen in academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

 This study aims to determine the direction and magnitude of the relationship between learning based on local wisdom and culture of the school with learning outcomes 4th and 5th graders at Perumnas Condongcatur elementary school in academic year 2013/2014. The population of this study was 4th and 5th graders at Perumnas Condongcatur elementary school with a population of 121. The sample in this study amounted to 93 students. Sample of each class using population sampling techniques. Data collection technique using a questionnaire which further tested for validity and reliability. Test analysis showed that 1) there is a positive relationship between learning based on local wisdom and culture of the school with student learning outcomes; 2) partial there is a positive relationship between learning based on local wisdom and culture of the school with student learning outcomes. Partially, the relationship was Proportional between the cultures of the school with learning outcomes.

Abstract

 Abstract:Indonesiais a countryin Southeast Asiaand a member of ASEAN. As a manifestationofeconomic integration ofcountriesin theASEAN, Indonesia is included in ASEANEconomic Community(AEC). With AEC, it is not only in trade of goods sector which need to adjust, but also in services sector. Public may work freely in other countries in accordance with their abilities or skills and requirements required in the country. In facing AEC manifestation, education must also be responsive in preparing educators who have a human resources-based AEC. Teacher is a figure who is always been being a role model by students wherever he/she is. Teachers also enormously contribute in succeeding national education goals. Since position of teachers are significant in realizing education, then character of teachers needs to be considered in order to be a figure corresponding to the requirements. In realizing it, a teacher should: (1) Have a creative thought and has new innovations appropriate with his/her characteristic; (2) Be able to establish a network with the various parties; (3) Have language skills and mastering culture in accordance with "customer’s" language and culture, and (4) Have ability to use instruments/tools based on his/her field.

Abstract

This research aim to describe the process of the nationalism attitude inculcation in the Social Science (IPS) learning in the high grade of Elementary School of Taman Muda Ibu Pawiyatan in an academic year 2016/ 2017 and describe some obstacles. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. The subjects of the research are the principal of the school as well as teachers and students of  high  grade  (IV,  V,  and  VI).  The  technique  are  collecting  data  using  interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis of data using measures of data collection, data reduction, data presentation,  and  drawing  conclusions.  For  an  examination  of  the  validity  of  the  data  using triangulation sources, techniques, and time. The results of the research show that the way of the teachers to inculcate nationalism attitude through in the learning of IPS on the high grade students in Elementary School of Taman Muda Ibu Pawiyatan is by habituation, exemplary, provision of contextual examples, the use of stories, as well as the use of instructional media. The supporting factors of the inculcate of nationalism attitude include the teacher’s creativity in delivering learning materials of the IPS, availability of learning facilities, and their use of learning resources with outting activities or visits. The factors of inhibiting are the limited allocation of instructional time to learning materials of IPS and the limited of learning media. The ways that used to solve for the variety of inhibitor factors are to provide additional learning time and do the procurement of instructional media, and perform the learning activities in groups to minimize the amount of media use in the learning activities of IPS. The values  that can be developed in the realization of nationalism attitude for students in high grade in Elementary School Taman Muda Ibu Pawiyatan are willing to sacrifice, patriotism, uphold the good name of the Indonesian nation, proud as a citizen of Indonesia, unity and integrity, adherence to the rules, discipline, brave, honest, and hard working.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning results operation count through the Method of Problem Solving.Subject research is teacher and students off class 1 Pujokusuman elementary school, Keparakan, Mergangsan Yogyakarta.Research instruments validated the approval from expert judgment. Data research collected by a test and a observation. Data analysis should be conducted in every cycles. Quantitative data analyzed using analysis descriptive quantitative. Qualitative analyzed data on using analysis descriptive qualitative with a step reduction data, exposure, and resume. This result of the study provide a there is an increase study results operation count, through a method of the problem Solving. This increase seen in the Minimal Achievement Criteriaat least which was originally at the cycle of 46, 25 % to 86, 43 in the cycle to two.

Abstract

 Abstract: Many researches has been done in searching the advantages and disadvantages, both Cooperative and competitive model of teaching. Each of them has many advantages as well as disadvantages. Accordingly, the task of teachers is to take the advantages and eliminate its disadvantages.This article tries to propose Team Game Tournament as a meansin integrating cooperative and competitive aspects of instructional activity.with is distinctive feature, TGT can combines both cooperative and competitive spirits of student. As a result, hopefully, student achievement will increase.Theachers of PKn should change their circumstances, chiefly their traditional instructional practices. Implementation of TGT in some right occasion is one of means in increasing instructional effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the increase in activity and the skills of reading poetry in the third grade students of State Elementary School Mendungan 1 Yogyakarta using modeling techniques. This research is a classroom action research collaborative. Subjects of this study 21 students. The object of this research activity and the value of poetry reading skills. This research was conducted in two cycles. Instruments using observation, testing, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using content validity and interrater reliability. The results showed that the activity of students in prasiklus amounted to 55.6 % in the category enough, the first cycle to 70.4 % in both categories, and the second cycle be 80.8 % in both categories. Skills to read poetry on prasiklus 0 % , 52.4 % in the first cycle, and the second cycle be 85.7 %.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to increase student motivation in learning and improving reading skills Javanese script for fifth grade students of Elementary School of Blimbing 4 Sukuharjo using multimedia interactive. This research is a classroom action research. This study uses a system of cycles, ranging from planning, action, observation and reflection than to next cycles. The subjects were the student of fifth grade of SD Negeri Blimbing 4. Data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires, interview and discussion, review of documents, as well as tests. The technique of data validity checks using triangulation techniques and triangulation methods. For data analysis techniques used comparative descriptive and critical analysis. This research was conducted in two cycles.
