Abstract

 Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to peel the usefulness of children's literature to foster a culture of reading and writing or literacy. Low of literate culture that is now owned by the community can actually be grown with the introduction of children's literature since childhood. Giving the reading is within their child's stage of development will greatly assist the growth of their literacy. Literary readings will give effect to the child separately. This will have an impact on the child 's love of reading and writing skills to impact the. We know that two skills has relation.

Abstract

 Abstract: The purpose of this research was to describe the process of discovery learning model to improve active and science achievement students of class IV SDN Plakaran, Banguntapan, Bantul. This research is Classroom Action Research. Data collection techniques using observation, testing and documentation. Active results 45% in precycle, increased 64% in the first cycle and increased 87% in the second. The percentage of learning outcomes in precycle 27% of students who achieve KKM, increased 50% in the first cycle and increased 80% in the second. It can be concluded that the use of discovery learning model can increase active and scienceachievement.

Abstract

The role and function of teachers is very important in teaching and educating students, as well as in advancing education. The quality of student education and depend on and teacher’s quality. Teacher is a profession who prepare human resources to meet nation building in the independence. Teacher as one component of course inseparable from the education system. The paradigm of the national education system should include a variety of factors, including input, process, and output of education. In practice, more emphasis on education efforts to raise learners do something beneficial to the interests of society and the nation. So the teacher's role in creating an exciting and fun learning, teachers demanding more creative and professional. This is important, because in every lesson, has a very central role, well as planners, implementers, and evaluators in learning.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to improve the activity and learning outcomes in mathematics of students 5th grade Balingasal 1 Public Elementary School through cooperative learning type Teams Games Tournament. The subjects of this research is 29 students of 5th grade Balingasal 1 Public Elementary. The object of this research were student’s activity and mathematics learning outcomes. The result showed that after treatment with cooperative learning type Teams Games Tournament at 5th grade Balingasal 1 Public Elementary School, activity and mathematics learning outcomes of students has increased. This was indicated by an increasing in the result percentage average activity of 36,64% in the pre-action, whereas at the first cycle improves with average percentage to 59,41%, improves in the second cycle to 77,16%. Mathematics learning outcomes of students also increased. The average of students learning outcomes in pre-action is 49,81. In the first cycle, the average result improves to 63,97. In the second cycle, the average result improves to 75,88. In conclusion, cooperative learning type Teams Games Tournament can improve activity and mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

 Abstract: The aim of this research was to improve the study activities on social study by using strategy inquiry discovery learning of students class VI SD Negeri Monggang Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta. The action hypothesis on this research was strategy inquiry discovery learning can improve study activities on social study of students class VI SD Negeri Monggang Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta. The subject of this research was 19 students of class VI SD Negeri Monggang Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta. The object of this research was students study activities on social study. The teqnique for data collect on this research by using observation and documentation teqnique. An analysis teqnique for data observation result to know increase students study activities. The result of this research showed that the use of strategy inquiry discovery learning can improve study activities on social study has increased by anincrease in the result average students study activities of 57,19 % in the pre action, in thefirst cycle improved with average 66,31 % and 78,94 % in the second cycle.

Abstract

Curriculum 2013 is a form of change in education. One of the implementations through integrative thematic learning with scientific approach. Character value of student is a response learners in the moral situation that is manifested in real action through good behavior, honest, responsible, and respectful of others, and other noble character. Device designed to foster learning character values of student. This study aims to (1) develop an integrated thematic learning tools that encourage elementary character values and (2) To obtain the effectiveness of integrative thematic learning with scientific approach to grow the value of character and student learning outcomes. Procedure development using Borgand Gall models include (1) PreliminaryStudy(2) Development (3) Testing. Learning the test subjects in this study were fourth grade students SD Rejosari 3 Semarang. Data collection instrument in this studyachievement test instruments and sheet validation. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis of the results of the assessment validator to learning and research instruments, as well as quantitative analysis of observations and comparisons test learners. Validator assessment results obtained average value Syllabus 4.10, RPP 4.09, and LKS 4.15. The results of the calculation, the average value of the study of students at 85. 68% of students have a very good character value and 2% of students have a good character value. Elementaryscience teaching tools through outdoor learning is one alternative that can be used in the elementary school teacher presents the material science to grow the value of character of students.

Abstract

Harmonization of local knowledge will be a lake that never subsided in the long dry season, when the values of wisdom for the realization of the ideals of the nation’s balance maintained by all elements in a society both physically and mentally. In addition to functioning as a filter for the values come from outside, local knowledge may give rise to a strong passion to apply them in social life. Sanggar Anak Alam Yogyakarta has harmonization in implementing character education through nature and local wisdom. The concept of learning at the Sanggar Anak Alam Yogyakarta is based on the natural environment, so that the environment is a key to the success of learning. Therefore, the value of environmental care and harmonization of local knowledge is one of the principal characters were implanted and developed in this school. The purpose of this study is to analyze how to harmonize the local knowledge that exists in the implementation of the character values in Sanggar Anak Alam Yogyakarta. The method used is a qualitative research method descriptive exploratory naturalistic. Based on the analysis of data and discussion can be concluded that the established harmonization good local knowledge of the implementation of character education in Sanggar Anak Alam Yogyakarta. This takes place both planting and caring character development environment in the Sanggar Anak Alam Yogyakarta or structured activities outside learning. Planting and character development to the values of local wisdom to do with the formation of the student mindset through the appreciation of food, health, education, arts and culture are integrated in the regular activities of the school.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan sederhana menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture pada siswa kelas III SDN 1 Gondangwayang Temanggung Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016.Hipotesis penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan sederhana pada siswa kelas III SDN 1 Gondangwayang Temanggung Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus.Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SDN 1 Gondangwayang Temanggung sebanyak 23 siswa.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi.Validitas dan hasil penelitian dilakukan dengan validitas isi (content validity) melalui expert judgement.Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan sederhana siswa kelas III SDN 1 Gondangwayang Temanggung.Hasil observasi aktivitas siswa pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata 3,16 dengan persentase 78% dan pada siklus II diperoleh rata-rata 3,96 dengan persentase 91%. Hasil penilaian keterampilan menulis karangan sederhana ditunjukkan pada nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa pada kondisi awal, yaitu 65,7 dengan persentase 35%,  sedangkan nilai rata-rata pada siklus I adalah 70,13 dengan persentase 61%. Pada siklus II nilai rata-rata siswa mencapai 80,54 dengan persentase 96%.

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe the learning process management for the inclusion class of chilren with special needs at SD Negeri Kepuhan Bantul school year 2015/2016. This research type is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study consisted of a principal, teacher classroom, teachers special assistants, students, and parents of children with special needs. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data obtained are tested its validity by increasing persistence, triangulation, and using reference materials. The data analysis technique that is performed with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research showed that: a) the management of the learning process at SD Negeri Kepuhan, include: (1) the learning plan; (2) the implementation of learning; (3) assessment of learning outcomes. b) the problem faced by the teacher learning process of the children with special needs were: (1) lack of GPK; (2) some of the classes are too many students with special needs; (3) teachers have difficulty in dealing with students Tuna Grahita; (4) the lack of cooperation of parents. c) Evaluation of the management of the implementation of inclusive education and learning management at SD Negeri Kepuhan, namely:(1) the overall evaluation of the implementation of inclusive education conducted by a questionnaire from Dikpora and the respondence is Principals and Teachers; (2) Evaluation of the learning management conducted by the Principal and parents.

Abstract

 Abstract: This study aimed to describe (1) students’ activities in the teaching of reading skills of Java letters through audio visual media and (2) the improvement of reading skills of Java letters through audio visual media among the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Gadingharjo. The type of this study was classroom action research in the teaching of reading skills of Java letters. The subject of the research was the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Gdaingharjo Sanden Bantul consisted of 39 students. The object of the research was reading skills of Java letters. Data collecting methods used test, observation, and documentation. This research used validity by using expert judgment. This study shows that (1) the use of audio visual could improve the students’ activities among the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Gadingharjo. The students’ activities in pre cycle was 38.97%, cycle I was 67.69%, and cycle II was 89.74%. (2) The use of audio visual media could improve reading skill of Java letters among the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Gadingharjo. The students’ reading skills show that there was an improvement from pre cycle until cycle II. The percentage of complete learning from pre cycle was 35.90% became 61.54% in cycle I and more improved in cycle II became 87.18%. It could be concluded that the use of audio visual media could improve learning activities and reading skills of Java letters.
