Abstract

Today's consumer tastes tend to choose products that are safe and healthy. However, farmers continue to make efforts to more efficiently utilize feed and have good health. This study aims to determine the effect of phytobiotic administration on drinking water on the efficient use of feed and body weight gain of Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB) chickens with different concentrations. Phytobiotics used are a combination of extraction of medicinal plants, namely moringa leaves, aloe vera leaves, betel leaves, papaya leaves, and lemongrass leaves. Phytobiotic is given to drinking water. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which was repeated three times with three levels of treatment (0 cc/l, 15 cc/l, 15 cc/l, and 20 cc/l drinking water). Analysis of variance shows that different concentrations have a very significant effect on the efficiency of feed use and have a significant effect on body weight gain of superior Balitnak chickens (KUB). Giving phytobiotics in drinking water with a concentration of 20 cc / l of drinking water can increase the efficiency of feed use (4.98 kg/head/week) and body weight gain of KUB chickens (0.84 kg/head/week).

Abstract

Beef management is currently directed to be based on agribusiness. Agribusiness has 4 subsystems that must be managed by farmers, namely the upstream subsystem, primary agriculture (cultivation), downstream, and supporting system. The aims of this study was to determine the agribusiness subsystems that were considered weak in Argosadono Gapoktan which was already based on animal husbandry agribusiness. Furthermore, to explore the ability of farmers to strengthen the agribusiness subsystem through counseling. The study was conducted in Ngampel Village, Papar District, Kediri Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The research approach used quantitative descriptive with Gapoktan Argosadono breeders object by involving their management as informants in this study. Sampling technique using purposive sampling with criteria for groups of livestock who joined the Gapoktan was an active group and recommended by the chairman of Gapoktan, has a complete core management, and has good communication skills. Data collection techniques used were observation, semistructured interviews, filling out closed questionnaires, Forum Group Discussion, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used SWOT analysis, counseling design, and continued evaluation of farmers' perceptions of the material that has been delivered in counseling. The results of the study based on the SWOT analysis diagram, obtained a suitable strategy in quadrant I (one), namely SO (Strengths-Opportunities). The strategy that must be implemented was to support an aggressive growth policy (Growth oriented strategy). The number of SO (Strengths-Opportunities) strategies obtained was 9 items, while the most pressing topic at the moment was the provision of cattle scales. Based on the 9 items of the SO strategy, the material was determined to support the running of the SO strategy. Based on the decision making matrix, the counseling material was obtained, namely the calculation of body weight using the Lambourne formula and the meter. After the implementation of counseling, perception evaluation carried out. The results obtained by farmers received very good innovation, as many as 47 respondents from 56 respondents were in the criterion V whose predicate perception was very good.

Abstract

Fish protein concentrates a resulting product by removes fat and water, in high protein concentrations. Mostly this product is applied to food that gets tall carbohydrates. Making fish protein concentrate is to constitute development innovation forms easy protein to be applied to food product gets low protein. The use of by-products, for example, fish eggs as a source of protein for functional food has not been widely carried out. An understanding of the chemical characteristics of flying fish eggs is very important. Previous research on fish eggs has become the basis for researching the chemical characteristics of flying fish eggs. Information about the levels of fatty acids, amino acids, total carotenoids, and ?-tocopherols of flying fish eggs has not been done. This research was expected to help the utilization of these commodities optimally. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of fatty acids, amino acids, total carotenoids, and ?-tocopherol eggs of flying fish. This study was divided into 2 phases. The first step was a characterization of flying fish eggs using proximate analysis, tocopherol analysis, amino acid, and fatty acid analysis. The second step was followed by making flying fish protein concentrate followed by organoleptic testing, proximate analysis and degree of white flour concentrate. The best results in the extraction solvent with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for 3 hours and belongs to type b for concentrated protein egg fish. KPTI is generated has the ability absorption of water, oil, emulsion and capacity density of kamba is good for additional materials, substitution and binder material for application-based products for the food high-protein food. KPTI has the amino acids essential and non-essential was very beneficial to the body.

Abstract

This study aims to study the growth response and yield of upland rice at various concentrations of epiphytic bacterial isolates. The study was arranged using a randomized block design (RCBD), with treatment concentrations of epiphytic bacterial isolates, which consisted of four concentrations. Namely without epiphytic isolates (control), epiphytic bacterial isolates 45 ml/l of water, epiphytic bacterial isolates 50 ml/l of water, and epiphytic bacterial isolates of 55 ml/l of water. The results showed that the treatment of various concentrations of epiphytic bacterial isolates significantly affected the growth and yield of upland rice. Treatment concentration of 55 ml/l of water gives the best effect which is higher than other treatments on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of productive tillers, panicle length, number of grains, wet and dry weight and yield of upland rice.

Abstract

The use of entisol soils can be maximized by adding organic matter. One ingredient that is able to maintain water availability and water resistance is biochar which is added to Tithonia as biochar plus. This study aims to determine the benefits of biochar plus on coastal entisol soils and mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 3 replications, namely 0% coconut shell biochar + 0% Tithonia compost (O); 100% coconut shell biochar + 0% Tithonia compost (A); 75% coconut shell biochar + 25% Tithonia Compost (B); 50% Coconut Shell Biochar + 50% Tithonia Compost (C), 25% Biochar Coconut Shell + 75% Tithonia Compost (D), 0% Biochar Coconut Shell + 100% Tithonia Compost (E). Data from observations were analyzed with variance (F test), if F count was greater than F table at 5% significance level followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% significance level. The parameters observed include soil analysis which includes, pH, N-total, P-available and K-dd as well as plant observations including plant height, number of leaves and root length. The results showed that Biochar plus affected the Entisol soil and the growth of mustard plants, namely the most influential formulation was 75% coconut shell biochar + 25% Tithonia compost which was seen in the height parameters of mustard greens.

Abstract

Soybeans play a very important role as a food ingredient due to their nutritional value and high protein content. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of price, population and per capita income factors on soybean demand in Bungo District and to analyze the elasticity of soybean demand in Bungo District. The selection of places in Bungo Regency as the object of research was carried out purposively (deliberately) with consideration of the location of the study as one of the soybean producing regions and also the area that used soybeans as raw material for industrial products. The method used in this research is descriptive method of describing the analysis of the analysis itself where the data was collected factually from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Food Crops Office and the Bungo Regency Industry and Trade Service Office which were then tabulated for analysis. There is no joint effect between soybean price variable (X1), population (X2) and per capita income (X3) on soybean demand dependent variable (Y), and only free income per capita variable which has partial effect on demand dependent variable soybeans and price elasticity are elastic with a value of 1.93, while income elasticity is inelastic with a value of 0.52.
