Abstract

Beef management is currently directed to be based on agribusiness. Agribusiness has 4 subsystems that must be managed by farmers, namely the upstream subsystem, primary agriculture (cultivation), downstream, and supporting system. The aims of this study was to determine the agribusiness subsystems that were considered weak in Argosadono Gapoktan which was already based on animal husbandry agribusiness. Furthermore, to explore the ability of farmers to strengthen the agribusiness subsystem through counseling. The study was conducted in Ngampel Village, Papar District, Kediri Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The research approach used quantitative descriptive with Gapoktan Argosadono breeders object by involving their management as informants in this study. Sampling technique using purposive sampling with criteria for groups of livestock who joined the Gapoktan was an active group and recommended by the chairman of Gapoktan, has a complete core management, and has good communication skills. Data collection techniques used were observation, semistructured interviews, filling out closed questionnaires, Forum Group Discussion, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used SWOT analysis, counseling design, and continued evaluation of farmers' perceptions of the material that has been delivered in counseling. The results of the study based on the SWOT analysis diagram, obtained a suitable strategy in quadrant I (one), namely SO (Strengths-Opportunities). The strategy that must be implemented was to support an aggressive growth policy (Growth oriented strategy). The number of SO (Strengths-Opportunities) strategies obtained was 9 items, while the most pressing topic at the moment was the provision of cattle scales. Based on the 9 items of the SO strategy, the material was determined to support the running of the SO strategy. Based on the decision making matrix, the counseling material was obtained, namely the calculation of body weight using the Lambourne formula and the meter. After the implementation of counseling, perception evaluation carried out. The results obtained by farmers received very good innovation, as many as 47 respondents from 56 respondents were in the criterion V whose predicate perception was very good.

Abstract

Uripmulyo Gapoktan is an association for farmer groups in Parerejo Village, which consists of Uripmulyo I, Uripmulyo II, Uripmulyo III, Mulyo Tani, Suka Makmur and Tani Makmur Farmers groups. This farmer group has a population of 464 cattles. In addition, in the Parerejo Village, there was a tofu factory and rice mill industry, whose waste is not utilized as a beef cattle ration. Farmers only provide forage feed, so it is necessary to carry out counseling activities on the manufacture of rations based on local ingredients, in the form of materials that were easily found by local farmers or potential feed ingredients in Parerejo Village. These feed ingredients include grass, tofu dregs, and rice bran and additional premixes. This study was conducted on 50 beef cattle breeders who were incorporated into the Uripmulyo Gapoktan taken randomly. The aim was to find out the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of breeders towards making rations based on local ingredients for beef cattle feed in Gapoktan Uripmulyo, Parerejo Village, Purwodadi District, Pasuruan Regency. The method used in this study includes four stages, namely (1) counseling in class, (2) counseling with demonstration methods, (3) counseling practice / out class (4) evaluation. The extension media used were (1) powerpoint slides, (2) folders, (3) videos and (4) real objects. Analysis techniques used in behavioral measurement include, (1) knowledge using interval techniques, (2) attitude measurement using T-score techniques and (3) observational skills measurements and analyzed using interval techniques. The results of the implementation showed that the level of knowledge of farmers was 76% in the good category, attitudes of farmers showed 74% received, and the level of skills of farmers showed 86% were very skilled at the material presented, about how to make rations based on local ingredients for beef cattle feed.

Abstract

Gapoktan Tani Makmur is an association of farmer groups in Kartoharjo Village. The main product of Gapoktan is semi-organic fertilizer, namely organic NPK super granule with the trademark was ASLI (Alami Subur Lestari Indonesia). The problem faced is that Gapoktan is very dependent on factory microbes that were no longer produced in Purbalingga. There are many potential sources of beneficial local microorganisms, one of which comes from banana weevils. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of adoption and to analyze the factors that influence the adoption rate as the basis for the design of education about the manufacture of banana weevil MOL in Gapoktan Tani Makmur. Also, to determine the implementation, evaluate education based on the level of adoption and the factors that influence it. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey method for data collection. The sampling technique uses random cluster sampling. The results showed that the measurement of the adoption rate before counseling was in the very high category of 82.9%, with the regression line equation Y = -2.695 + 0.124X1 - 0.558X2 + 2.182X3 + 1.958X4, with a determination coefficient of 0.829 or 82.9% . It means that the variable age (X1), an education level (X2), attitude towards change (X2), and courage at risk (X2) simultaneously affect the innovation adoption variable (Y) by 82.9%. Simultaneously, the rest is influenced by other variables or variables not studied. The extension's design follows the measurement of adoption rate and its influencing factors. The extension material includes the meaning, benefits, advantages, and MOL content of banana weevils for super organic NPK fertilizer. Real-life media outreach, PPT slides, and leaflets with adjuncts, lectures, and demonstrations. Evaluation of the extension design application, namely, evaluating the adoption rate of 38 target people with a very high category of 86.4%.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi peternak tentang pemanfaatan pakan fermentasi gedebog pisang untuk penggemukan sapi potong di Desa Tambaksari Kecamatan Purwodadi Kabupaten Pasuruan dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi variabel pengamatan meliputi faktor internal dan faktor eksternal serta karakteristik individu meliputi umur, pendidikan dan pengalaman/lama beternak. Penelitian diawali dengan mengamati dan melibatkan diri pada komunitas peternak dalam konteks yang alami (natural setting), diskusi kelompok terfokus, dan wawancara mendalam serta pengisian angket kepada 60 peternak sapi potong yang tergabung dalam kelompoktani Ampelsari Makmur Jaya dan Ampelsari Makmur Jaya II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 35 orang menolak dan 25 orang menerima tentang inovasi pakan fermentasi gedebog pisang untuk penggemukan sapi potong. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh persamaan regresi linier berganda Y = 6,486 + 0,128 X1 + 0,272 X2 + (-0,006) X3 + (-0,337) X4 + 0,115 X5 dengan r sebesar 0,547 dan r2 sebesar 0,299 dengan signiifikasi α 0,001. Hal ini berarti faktor yang digunakan sangat berpengaruh terhadap persepsi dimana model dapat digunakan memperkirakan persepsi yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal, faktor eksternal, dan karakteristik individu (usia, pendidikan, dan pengalaman/lama beternak). Belum semua masyarakat berpersepsi positif terhadap pemanfaatan pakan fermentasi gedebog pisang untuk penggemukan sapi potong yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal, faktor eksternal dan karakteristik individu meliputi umur, pendidikan, dan pengalaman/lama beternak. Secara simultan terdapat pegaruh yang signifikan antara faktor internal, faktor eksternal, dan karakteristik individu (usia, pendidikan, dan pengalaman/lama beternak) terhadap persepsi. Sedangkan secara parsial terdapat pegaruh yang signifikan antara faktor eksternal terhadap persepsi.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to know effect the matter package and long refrigeration of acidity and reductase test on pasteurization milk. Material used 9 lt milk from lactating cow. Factorial of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used in this study. The first factor was kind of matter package and the second treatment is long refrigeration of 40C (0; 7; 14; 21 day), replicated three times. Variable observed were acidity and reductase test. The result showed that kind of the matter have no significant effect (P>0,05) on acidity and reductase test. Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the perceptions of farmers about coconut shell liquid smoke technology and (2) determine the factors that influence it. The research method used a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method. Sampling using saturated samples with some 34 people. Data analysis was performed with descriptive data analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to measure the X factor (age, business experience, business income, cosmopolitan expectations, and interests) to factor Y (Perception). The results of the study showed that farmers with positive/good perceptions of coconut shell liquid smoke technology were 53%, while farmers who had negative perceptions were 47%. The analysis results obtained multiple linear regression equation Y = (4.179) + (-0,119) X1 + (0.208) X2 + (0.114) X3 + (1,475) X4 + (0.297) X5 + (0.490) X6 with R of 0.547 and R2 equal to 0.859. The results of the model summary explain the summary of the model consisting of multiple correlation values (R), 0.927. This shows that there is a high relationship between the variable x (age, business experience, business income, cosmopolitan, hopes, and interests) and the farmers' perceptions of coconut shell liquid smoke technology. The t-test results show the t-count value of the cosmopolitan factor (4.142) and the factor of interest (2.114)> t-table (2.051) at the significance level of α 5%. The factors that influence farmers' perceptions of liquid smoke technology are cosmopolitan and interest. In general, breeders have good perceptions of liquid smoke technology, so that the application of liquid smoke technology in animal husbandry can be applied repeatedly to suppress environmental pollution due to the odor generated by laying chicken manure.

Abstract

The study aims describe evaluation the results implementation of extension design on the application banana stem fermented feed for beef cattle tambaksari village, purwodadi district, pasuruan regency. Variable observed are whether the material, methods and media are determined according to the target needs. The study population was 60 people and sampling used Total Sampling. Research method used descriptive quantitative. Data taken primary and secondary data where collection’s through interviews, observation and questionnaires. Counseling design based on the potential of natural resources and human resources that are owned by the target where in general target is elementary education, 45 years old and 10 years old. Stated goal is the goal of good perception feed fermentation of banana stem for fattening of beef cattle. Material determined through several stages includes identifying problems and solving them, testing priority problems, determining factors, grouping agricultural extension materials, selecting / selecting agricultural extension materials based on the subject matter, grouping agricultural extension materials based on material characteristics, and decision-making matrices. The media used in counseling is determined using a matrix Analysis of the determination of agricultural extension media. Method used in counseling is determined using consideration of the selection of agricultural extension methods. The media used are Power Point, Video and Leaflets. While the methods used are lectures, group discussions, demonstrations of ways and direct practices. Evaluation results showed (100%) farmers stated that the determination of material, media, and methods used in counseling with consideration to the conditions of the goals and objectives of counseling in accordance with what was needed so that the material could be accepted by the extension targets. All farmers state the material, media and methods according to their needs. So that it is expected that the material given in counseling can be applied in livestock business.

Abstract

Studi literatur ini ditulis dalam rangka merancang penelitian berbasis ISD untuk mewujudkan perencanaan pelatihan yang baik yang diharapkan dapat menghasilkan kompetensi sesuai yang diinginkan. Tulisan ini didasarkan pada permasalah penyuluh yang sangat antusias terhadap pendekatan penyuluhan partisipatif dan memahami pentingnya perlibatan masyarakat petani dalam kegiatan penyuluhan, namun demikian penyuluh merasa bahwa penerapan partisipasi dalam kegiatan penyuluhan tidak terjadi. Hal ini dikarenakan petani tidak merasa perlu untuk berpartisipasi dan menganggap partisipasi yang dilakukan membuang waktu mereka. Penyuluh merasa kurang mempunyai ketrampilan dalam berkomunikasi untuk meyakinkan petani akan pentingnya partisipasi dalam proses penyuluhan. Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi tersebut perlu disusun model pelatihan berbasis ADDIE. Model ini dipilih karena mempunyai langkah yang sederhana, mudah diterapkan tetapi mewakili keseluruhan proses system pembelajaran. Model pengembangan model pembelajaranADDIE dari lima fase yaitu, Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate. Keseluruhan tahapan yang ada pada model ADDIE dapat di implementasikan atau digunakan dalam program pelatihan untuk upaya meningkatkan ketrampilan komunikasi dan teknik fasilitasi yang dirasakan kurang bagi PPL di Kabupaten untuk meyakinkan petani akan pentingnya partisipasi petani dalam proses penyuluhan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan pelatihan, menyusun rancangan pelatihan, mendeskripsikan implementasi pelatihan, menganalisis pengaruh pelatihan terhadap kompetensi penyuluh pertanian tentang pelatihan pengoperasian drone di UPTD Pertanian Wilayah VIII Gumukmas Kabupaten Jember. Dengan adanya pelatihan diharapkan penyuluh dapat meningkatkan kompetensinya dalam mengoperasikan drone. Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam penelitian dan pengembangan dengan pendekatan ADDIE. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian di UPTD Pertanian Wilayah VIII Gumukmas Kabupaten Jember dengan responden berjumlah 32 penyuluh pertanian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan pelatihan bagi penyuluh di UPTD Pertanian Wilayah VIII Gumukmas adalah materi regulasi penerbangan drone, mengenal drone dan remot kontrol, menerbangkan drone, dan teknik/cara memotret foto dan merekam video dari drone. Rancangan pelatihan dilakukan melalui lima proses yakni analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Implementasi pelatihan pengoperasian drone bertempat di ruang pertemuan UPTD Pertanian Wilayah VIII Gumukmas secara tatap muka dengan memperhatikan protokol kesehatan menggunakan media power point dan buku saku pelatihan. Penyampaian materi dilakukan dengan ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, dan demonstrasi. Hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana menyatakan bahwa pelatihan memiliki pengaruh nyata terhadap kompetensi penyuluh di UPTD Pertanian Wilayah VIII Gumukmas. Dengan demikian, pelatihan pengoperasian drone dapat meningkatkan kompetensi penyuluh dalam mengoperasikan drone di UPTD Pertanian Wilayah VIII Gumukmas Kabupaten Jember.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of boiling and steaming processes on yield and nutrient content in fishmeal production. Fish samples, including Mackerel Scad and Sardinella lemuru were obtained from Sendang Biru, Malang and processed using boiling and steaming methods at 90-100?C for 30 minutes. This study used 4 treatments i.e boiled mackerel scad, steamed mackerel scad, boiled Sardinella lemuru and steamed Sardinella lemuru. The results indicated that steaming yielded a higher yield compared to boiling (8.56 and 1.54%), but the nutrient content particularly ash, protein and ether extract was different in both of fishmeal. However, steaming is more effective in lowering crude fiber levels than boiling. The study also assessed Salmonella contamination in fishmeal, and the analysis revealed no Salmonella contamination in the steaming fishmeal samples. These findings provide valuable guidance for the livestock feed industry in selecting the optimal processing method to maximize the quality of fishmeal.
