Abstract

ABSTRACT Most of Surveillance staffs were juggle for their jobs in Public Health Center (Puskesmas) on the area of Banyumas regency. However, it is the role of surveillance staffs in analyzing the data that will be used in Public Health Center or ministry of health. Regarding to the variety of education background to the Surveillance staffs in Banyumas, it effects to the different skill in analyzing the data in contagious diseases. Analyzing the data is very crucial area to be mastered by the surveillance staff since it will yield the information for taking the decision. The aim of this research was to improve the skill of surveillance staffs in analyzing and presenting the data in Public Health Center Distric Banyumas. The researcher conducted the training in a day at July 4th, 2013 in Biostatistics Laboratory, Public Health Department. 34 participants were joined in this training. Based on the training, there was an improvement 4.92% of knowledge and 136% skill in analyzing the data. Then it is suggested to the participant to implement the knowledge and skill that they obtained in the training, so it can yield accurate information and policy. Abstract

ABSTRACT 169 Level of satisfaction of community service to public health centers need to meet the standards of public service minister by decree in 2004. Based on the above background research done on the influence of patient characteristics on the satisfaction index of ambulatory service in Banyumas public health center. This study aims to analyze the public about the service satisfaction index of ambulatory service in Banyumas public health center and the influence factors on the satisfaction index. This study is an observational study with survey research methods. The approach of this study using cross-sectional approach. The study population was all households in Banyumas public health center. The research sample consists of 150 people, with accidental sampling method. Retrieval research data using a questionnaire instrument. Analysis of research data using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, and multivariate analysis. The research was conducted in Banyumas public health center. Results showed that most people (51.3%) satisfied with the service ambulatory, and 48.7% of the public are not satisfied with the service ambulatory in Banyumas public health center. There was no association between age, occupation, gender, and status of financing of patient satisfaction with the level of ambulatory service in Banyumas public health center. There is a relationship between education and marital status of patients with levels of satisfaction ambulatory service in Banyumas public health center. There are influences together education and marital status of patients with level of satisfaction ambulatory service in Banyumas public health center. Proposed study is Banyumas public health center to immediately improve patient care aspects of the course mainly discipline officers in providing service. Kesmasindo. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe risk of School children in Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) endemic areas will decrease of learning achievement . Objective of this study was to analyze the status of IDD and health aspects associated with school children's learning achievement base IDD in endemic areas .The method was used a cross-sectional approach . Population of this study were all Rempoah primary school children, there are 178 children , while the samples were taken by purposive sampling of 33 fourth grade students at SDN I Rempoah Baturaden . The results showed all samples of students there were no have an enlarged thyroid gland through a large palpasi. Although Chi Square analysis test showed no relationship in all variables, but using cross tabulating we can see which samples who have genetic family of IDD have low good learning achievement (66,7 %) than none (84,6 %), samples who have poor nutritional status have low learning achievement (57,1 %) than good one (84,6 %) and samples who have low physical fitness have low good learning achievement(75,9 %) than good physical fitness (100 %) . Abstract

Take care children are something need to achieve growth and nutritional status optimally . the role of take care children determinan to children growth were important, good take care children can increasing nutritional staus and children health. This research aimed to study the correlation between take care children and nutritional status pf children under5 years. Research design implemented was case cobtrol. Total sample 92 children under 5 year with 23 severaly malnutritional status. Data collection by ibterviewed to their mother with structured questioners. Data analysis with ubivariabt, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Descriptiveanalysis showed that in saverely malnourished case study, most (73*=%) mother taje careof children are middle, 66,7% mother have middle nutrition knowledge, 95,7 % mother have low education level, 53,6% children were infection disease and capability of food health accessibility expenditures have average Rp. 130.000,-. In moderately malnourished case stidy , most (62,3%) mother take care of chikdren are middle 69,6% mother have middle nutrition knowledge 89,9%mother have low education level, 53,6% children were infection disease, and capability of food health accessibility expenditures have avarege Rp/ 129.700,00. In severely malnourished and moderately malnourished case study there was correlation between mother taej care children withnutritional status of children after attent by capability pf food health accessibility expenditures and mother education level. It recommended to mother always monitoring ther chikdren nutritional status by routin activity in posyandu, give food for fulfill theur nutrition need.

Abstract

ABSTRACT High risk pregnancy could be early detected and handled if pregnant mothers routinely visit healthcare service, thus reduce maternal death. Internal factors of pregnant mothers related to the compliance of pregnancy examination are age, education, work, income and knowledge on high risk pregnancy. The study intended to describe factors related to early detection of high risk pregnancy in District of Brebes. This was a descriptive study with rapid survey method. Study subjects should meet the criteria of having labor 0-4 months baby (both live of death) at the time the study conducted and living in selected cluster. There were 30 clusters, and 7 subjects were selected from each of it, therefore the total subject was 210 mothers. The result showed mothers had low level of education, most of them were housewives, with equal number of low and high income. Age ranged from 16 to 43 years, it meant there were still pregnant mothers out of optiimal reproductive age. Anemia was the highest risk of pregnancy in District of Brebes and there was still hypertension case in pregnant mothers. Knowledge of high risk pregnancy was low, with most of information source from books. It was suggested to health officer to increase their role in giving information on high risk pregnancy to pregnant mothers in District of Brebes. Abstract

Street foods is one of common food for undergraduate students. There are many contaminat wich can contamined street foods, such as biological, phisical, and chemical contaminant. Many health problem can be caused by contaminated food. The purpose of this reseach is to indentify chemical contaminat in street foods that is sold in front of Siliwangi University, Siliwangi street. This research is using survey method with 37 sample of street foods that are taken from 18 food’s seller. Chemical contaminant was indetify using food contaminat detection kit. Individual factor such as education, age, and income and also who is the producer of streets were also measured in this study. Univariat analysis use the frequency distribution table, graph, and statistical calculation values. The result of this research are most of the responden’s education are yunior high school and senior high school. Average of respondens are 35 years old, and daily income are Rp 314.000,00. Most of the street foods is produced by the own seller. Chemical contaminat detection showed borax and Rhodamin B aren’t detected. But formalin is found in two street foods. The recomendation are continue monitoring and ecducating food street’s seller abaout the impact of using chemical food additives.

Abstract

The United Nation Children's Fund and World Health Organization recommend exclusive breastfeeding to reduce infant mortality and morbidity. Working mothers tend not to breastfeed exclusively compared to mothers who do not work or housewives. Lack of workplace support is one of the factors causing exclusive breastfeeding failure on working mothers. In the area of Puskesmas Sewon II, exclusive breastfeeding coverage decreased from 2015 to 2016 and became one of the lowest coverage centers in Bantul Regency. The aim of the study is to determine the relationship of workplace support with exclusive breastfeeding on working mothers in the working area of Puskesmas Sewon II. The research method was analytical observation with cross sectional design. Purposive sampling technique was demonstrated and obtained 70 working mothers. Data collection used questionnaires that had been tested for its validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using chi-square. The result indicated that there was a relationship between workplace support and exclusive breastfeeding on working mothers with p-value 0.011 (α = <0.05) and low close relationship with coefficient contingency 0.291. Characteristics of respondents related to exclusive breastfeeding were education, parity and duration of work. The workplace is expected to provide time, facilities and policies that support exclusive breastfeeding of working mothers in accordance with government regulations.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Dust is one of the additional burden of the work environment as a result of chemical production processes. Based on data from NIOSH (Nationmal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) in 2010 in the United States showed that mortality associated with occupational lung disease reached 70% of total deaths caused by work. Mask is one of the efforts to control the dusty work environment, to prevent occupational lung disease. However there are workers who do not wear masks at work. Many factors influence the behavior of workers that do not use the mask. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the behavior and the use of masks on contractors working in the packing house p.10 PT Indocement Tbk KabupatenCirebon. Type and method of this study is observational cross-sectional approach. Total sample of 52 respondents. Data were obtained through interviews with respondents using questionnaires and direct observation. The variables studied were the level of knowledge, level of education, perceptions, attitudes, age, years of employment, regulatory, and oversight by the clerk. Data analysis was performed by univariate and bivariate (chi square). The results showed that the variables significantly associated with the use of masks behavior is the level of knowledge (p = 0.021), regulation (p = 0.018) and oversight by the clerk (p = 0.038). While the variables are not significantly related to education level (p = 0.108), perception (p = 0.140), attitude (p = 0.120), age (p = 0.406), year (p = 0.184). Suggested activities necessary to the provision of information relating to the use of masks, and to improve the regulation and supervision of the frequency of use of masks to workers. Abstract

ABSTRACT KADARZI is a family that is able to identify nutritional problem and is able to prevent and address the nutritional problems of each family member (Ministry Of Health,2004). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of education and knowledge level of mothers with nutrition conscious family behavior (KADARZI) in urban and rural communities Banyumas district. This study is a secondary data analysis of KADARZI survey in 2009 conducted by the District Health Office Banyumas using cross sectional design. The sample is part of the Head of the Family in East Purwokerto District and Kembaran District with a total number of households was 600 taken with Cluster Random Sampling method. Data analysis was done using univariate and bivariate with chi square test. From the analysis on the results : majority of households (69.7%) ,low nutritional knowledge (54.7%) and has KADARZI behavior that is still less (68.7%). While the majority of respondens in urban areas (56.3%) have high educated level (51.3%) and has KADARZI behavior that is still less (66 %). There is a relationship between education and knowledge with KADARZI behavior in rural areas represented by Kembaran I district. There was no correlation between education with KADARZI behavior in urban areas are represented by East Purwokerto. There is relationship between education and behavior KADARZI in East Purwokerto. Needs to be increased active participation of families in various health service activities such as regular weighing under five every month, actively participates in outreach activities Keywords : KADARZI, rural,urban Kesmasindo. Abstract

One of the causes of the high maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is the lack of knowledge about prenatal care and the cultural influences that have been passed down from generation to generation ancestors. This study aimed to determine the prenatal care in Javanese culture perspective Kaliori Village, District of Kalibagor. This study used a qualitative approach postpartum mothers as key informan and leaders and midwives as supporters informants are community. Data analysis was performed by content analysis. The results showed pregnant women performed rituals that were ngupati and mitoni, food taboos and believed in pregnancy myths. Pregnant women who live with their parents or they did parent in-laws have the intention to do that behavioral, but pregnant women who live alone do not have the intention to performed that. Pregnant women felt happy to get any attention from most influence person for them. Selecting the information obtained from of friends, internet, family and midwife was as control behavior. Midwife advice that pregnant women should not refrain from some food because it can cause anemia and low birth weight infants. Study recommend midwives and community leaders working together to provide socialization in prenatal care, especially related to food taboos and myths about pregnancy.
