Several historical studies that exist today have reviewed how the fishing industry developed during the colonial period. However, generally existing studies focus more on aspects of marine and port fisheries. The inland or freshwater fisheries aspect is not highlighted much. One of the results of the development of inland fisheries knowledge and technology is the innovation of mudjair fish. This paper tries to dig deeper into the innovators of mudjair fish both in terms of background knowledge and domestication methods. The method used in this paper is the historical method. Based on the results of the study, Mudjair's knowledge as an innovator is based on informal knowledge. The series of fish domestication processes he used were scientific organic knowledge. This is evidence of intellectual progress and innovation in the field of fisheries.

Love for the country does not only focus on the physical resistance carried out at that time but can also take other forms. In this case, painting artists realized their love for their homeland through visual aspects. This research explores the forms of the concept of love for the country in Indonesian painting, especially in the 19th century. This research uses the historical method with five stages: topic selection, heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The result of this research is that paintings in the 19th century illustrate the concept of patriotism as seen from the objects depicted. The object of the painting is not only fixated on the role and power of the colonial nation but also gives the impression that the Indonesian nation also has a role. This can be seen from some of Raden Saleh's paintings such as Daendels' potert, the painting Between Life and Death, and the painting of Prince Diponegoro's arrest, which gives the meaning that Indonesians also played a role in historical events that occurred at that time.

This research is focused on the creation of a valid and dependable tool designed for the assessment of students' metacognitive abilities within the context of the Research Methodology course. The research methodology employed for this research follows the Research and Development (R&D) framework outlined by Mardapi, which encompasses ten distinct phases. The participants involved in this research comprised four lecturers responsible for instructing research methodology courses and a total of 61 students who were enrolled in these courses. The data collected for this research consisted of quantitative data acquired through expert validation questionnaires and trial instruments. Data analysis was conducted employing quantitative techniques, specifically utilizing Microsoft Excel and employing the Item Response Theory (IRT) Politomus data analysis approach within the R programming environment. The research outcomes indicated that the instrument employed to evaluate students' metacognitive skills in the research methodology course achieved a valid status as per expert evaluations, meeting the criteria for goodness. It was found to be valid in terms of the response distribution across all 24 items, and collectively, the instrument items were deemed capable of offering insights into the state of the test participants (respondents) by more than 85%. Moreover, the instrument demonstrated a very high level of reliability as 0,94.

This study aims to elucidate Persis's pivotal role in fostering the growth of Islamic boarding school institutions in Indonesia between 1923 and 1962. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research utilizes library research methods and content analysis. Primary sources include the Sipatahoenan Newspaper and Bendera Islam. The findings reveal that Persis's emphasis on primary and secondary education has culminated in the establishment of 230 Islamic Unity Islamic Boarding Schools nationwide. Moreover, Persis has notably founded the Islamic Education University as a tertiary-level institution. The organization also facilitates courses and discussion forums addressing religious matters and disseminates literature to advance the discourse on Islamic propagation and education renewal. Regarding the educational curriculum, Persis integrates Islamic studies, Quranic teachings, and Hadith studies with conventional education. However, challenges persist in the operational aspects of Islamic educational institutions, necessitating enhancements in management practices, augmenting educational facilities, and bolstering the quality of human resources.
