Abstract

This development research was carried out based on observations of problems and potentials that exist in SMA Negeri 1 Tenggarong Seberang. The problem found is the lack of innovation in history learning media and the low knowledge of students about the Muara Kaman Site cultural heritage of the Kutai Kingdom, for this reason, learning media innovations are needed that can overcome these problems. Several potential schools can support the development of digital learning media, such as the Video Tour Situs Muara Kaman (Visimuka). Visimuka is a learning media in the form of short videos taken directly at the Muara Kaman Site, then edited using the InShot application, and uploaded on Instagram social media. The research uses the ADDIE model which has five steps, namely Analyze (analyze), Design (design), Development (develop), Implement (implement), and Evaluate (evaluate). Visimuka learning media is a digital media that has gone through a validation test with very valid media results and a product feasibility test with the results of the media very feasible to use for history learning.

Abstract

In the process of learning in schools, teachers, students, media, and the environment form a complex interplay. The role of teachers becomes more challenging as students heavily rely on them, leading to ineffective learning. Due to this dependence, a solution can be found by utilizing instructional materials that help teachers facilitate independent learning for students. This research aims to produce "LEKER SIRA" to enhance learning outcomes and religious character values in the history lessons of Grade X Social Studies at SMAN 1 Pemali. The research adopts the ADDIE research model. Based on the findings, it is concluded that "LEKER SIRA" is highly suitable as instructional material for Indonesian history lessons. The school-based research indicates an improvement in learning outcomes, with the average increasing from 51.8 to 89.9. This suggests that all students have achieved proficiency. Abstract

The discourse on Indonesian Nationalism will never end. As the basis of the state, nationalism needs to continue to be reflected to remain relevant to current developments. The phenomenon of narrowing the meaning of Indonesian Nationalism and stagnation in the mainstream narrative which leads to the fossilisation of meaning is also an important and urgent topic to study. The big question is whether Indonesian Nationalism is still on rails and corridors that are relevant to the current condition of the nation. This article will specifically dissect in a deconstructive manner the paradigm of Indonesian Nationalism as a "joint project" as a form of response to stagnation and narrow mainstream narratives about nationalism. This paper also analyzes it in a historical framework, specifically taking a case study of racial communal conflict after the 1998 Reformation using the analytical knife of Benedict Anderson's Imagined Communities. There are three sub-discussions which will explain the background conditions and challenges of Indonesian Nationalism, the deconstruction of the paradigm of Indonesian Nationalism and how nationalism should be addressed as a "joint project" of a nation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the role of the Siak Sri Indrapura Sultanate in shipping and trade in the Melaka (Malacca) Strait in the XVIII century. By using the historical method of literature study approach, there is evidence of the triumph of the Siak Sri Indrapura sultanate in the Malacca Strait. The Siak Sultanate in 1767 under the rule of King Ismail showed its dominance in the territorial waters of East Sumatra by controlling the Tin trade on Bangka Island. The expansion of Siak influence during the reign of King Ismail continued to grow significantly starting from Terengganu, Jambi, and Palembang. In 1780 Siak's territory they reached the Langkat, Deli, and Serdang areas. The Siak Sri Indrapura Sultanate took advantage of the control of trade through the Straits of Malacca. This success was also supported by the ability of the Sultanate of Siak to control the pirates in the area. Search results from Dutch records recorded that in 1783 there were 171 merchant ships from Siak to Malacca. The position of Siak can be said to be a triangular area of trade between the Dutch in Malacca and the British on the island of Pinang. At that time, the Siak River was an area where various trade products were collected, ranging from camphor, tin, and gold. Even the people of Siak are active in the timber industry, especially for shipbuilding and other construction.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Kurikulum Merdeka in History lessons which contains achievements to be able to contextualize events that occurred in the past. The ability of teachers who have now developed by having the ability to create and use electronic-based teaching materials can develop electronic-based teaching materials containing historical material that is linked to contextual issues. Seeing this, the researcher conducted a quasi-experimental study aimed at analyzing the influence of e-modules based on a contextual approach to historical thinking skills. The researcher saw this influence by using a quasi-experiment with a time series design conducted at SMA Negeri 26 Bandung. The results of the study showed that e-modules based on a contextual approach can show an influence on historical thinking skills with a moderate increase in the category.
