Abstract

SD Sidorejo Lor 02 Salatiga is facing two difficulties in the same time, school yard and students’ report. School principal conducted an innovation in making student report application which is shows a good progress and result and submit DAK proposal for paving construction program. The proposal wasn’t accepted but the school can’t wait any longer so SD Sidorejo Lor 02 decided to do the construction independently. This is qualitative descriptive research. The data is collected through interview. The result shows that transformational leadership by the school principal able to change school’s weakness into opportunity. Students’ report application can be used for one of fund-raising source to support schools’ yard paving block construction.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes by using the singing method in thematic learning in VA MI Ma'arif NU 1 Cilongok class. This study used a class action research method using the Kurt Lewin model which was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of several stages, namely preparation, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 24 students of VA MI Ma'arif NU I Cilongok class, the number of male students. The data source in this study is information about learning outcomes after applying the singing method. The results of this study indicate that the application of the singing method can improve learning outcomes in the form of students' mastery and understanding. This can be proven by cycle I where student learning outcomes have an average of 70.9% which can be categorized as not meeting the assessment standards, while in cycle II student learning outcomes show an average of 81.36% and can be categorized as complete. Changes in behavior shown in the learning process with this singing method are students feeling happy, cheerful, active, and more enthusiastic in learning thematic learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah 16 Surabaya pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan menerapkan model problem based learning disertai media video. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah 16 Surabaya dengan jumlah peserta didik 28 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pencapaian hasil belajar pengetahuan pada siklus I dengan ketuntasan klasikal 73,39% meningkat pada siklus II yakni 90,25%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model problem based learning berbantu media video dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi transportasi dan cara menghemat energi.

Abstract

Peralihan pembelajaran daring ke luring pasca pandemic membutuhkan penyesuaian diri yang baik. Adapun dampak dari pembelajaran daring menyebabkan perubahan di bidang pendidikan diantaranya terjadi pergeseran nilai-nilai karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana persepsi guru terhadap perubahan karakter sopan santun siswa pasca pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif berupa wawancara. Subjek pada penelitian ini yakni 3 orang guru di SMA X. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa pendidikan karakter sopan-santun siswa yang terlihat di sekolah pasca pandemi covid-19 cukup memprihatinkan. Berdasarkan pengamatan guru, ternyata cukup banyak bentuk perubahan karakter sopan-santun yang terlihat saat di sekolah. (1) Bentuk perubahan karakter sopan santun seperti tidak menyapa ketika berpapasan dengan guru, berani menjawab ksaat dinasehati atau diberi teguran oleh guru, berbicara dengan nada yang cukup tinggi, tidak ramah dengan guru atau tenaga pendidik di sekolah; (2) Perubahan karakter dapat terjadi karena kurangnya pengawasan baik dari orang tua dan guru, perkembangan teknologi yang pesat dan pengaruh budaya luar; (3) Dampaknya adalah rasa ketidaknyamanan yang dirasakan baik dari guru atau lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu berpengaruh pada citra sekolah dan lain sebagainya; (4) Sejauh ini strategi yang dilakukan dari pihak guru maupun sekolah dalam menangani atau mengatasi perubahan karakter sopan santun yakni dengan diberikan peneguran/hukuman serta memberikan modeling atau contoh yang baik terkait perilaku sopan santun.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of smartphone use on the creativity of the class of 2019. This study used a causal-comparative type of research. The population in this study were students of guidance and counseling class of 2019 SWCU. In this study, the authors used a sampling technique using total sampling. The sample in this study was the student guidance and counseling class of 2019 SWCU. In the data collection technique, each instrument uses a Likert scale. The analytical technique used in this study is simple linear regression analysis using the help of IBM Statistics SPSS 21.0. The results showed that the results of the simple linear regression test that had been carried out were known to be greater than ttable (14,806 > 2.002) with a sig. 0.000 value less than 0.050 (0.000 < 0.050). This means that there is a significant positive effect of smartphone use on creativity. So the hypothesis which states "there is a significant influence on the use of smartphones on the creativity of Guidance and Counseling students for the class of 2019". The variable of smartphone use contributes to creativity by 79.7%, and the rest (20.3%) is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Keywords: Smartphone use, Creativity

Abstract

The purpose of evaluating the Guidance and Counseling (BK) program at SMP Negeri 2 Ambarawa during the pandemic is to evaluate the context, input, process and product of the guidance and counseling program during the pandemic. This research is evaluative research. The principal provides full support in implementing counseling services during the pandemic by providing a schedule and budget allocation. The ratio of counseling teachers to students is fulfilled by the presence of school counselors with a background in counseling education. Facilities and infrastructure are in good condition, but do not yet have a special counseling room. BK services are carried out with the help of applications, namely Google classroom, and google forms used by school counselors for delivery systems in service activities with asynchronous types and in synchronous types using WhatsApp, Zoom or Google Meet depending on the agreement between teachers and students. The problems experienced in the implementation of online counseling services are less than optimal since not all students have devices. The essential material compiled by the MGBK is less appropriate to use, it is more appropriate to use a needs assessment of students to develop a BK program. School counselors provide time for learners to consult with flexible time, either through in-person or device-assisted.

Abstract

This study focused on Bengkayang students' difficulties in improving their speaking skills in the Speaking for Social Purposes class as their first speaking class. The study aimed to find out ELEP (English Language Education Program), especially Bengkayang students’ perceptions on the difficulties of speaking English in the Speaking for Social Purposes class at the Faculty of Language and Arts in Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana, in Salatiga, Central Java. The participants of this study were 21 Bengkayang students from batch 2019 who had taken the Speaking for Social Purposes class. A closed-ended, open-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interview were used to collect the data. The findings revealed that all of the students’ encountered some difficulties in speaking English such as a lack of vocabulary, nervousness, poor grammar, poor pronunciation, and less confidence. They were afraid because they had to use grammar correctly and pronounce some words in English correctly. There were also some strategies that students used to improve their English speaking ability such as speaking in front of the mirror, practicing making sentences, speaking with their friends, listening to English music, and watching English movies

Abstract

This research aimed to produce a study of students' mathematical concept understanding abilities in classes with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model learning and classes that did not receive RME model learning. This research was a quantitative method of quasi experiment model designed in the form of non-equivalent control group design involving two research classes determined using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a test of students' mathematical concept understanding ability in the form of description questions. The data analysis technique in this study used an independent sample t-test and N-gain score. The results of the analysis showed that students' mathematical concept understanding ability in the class that received RME model learning was better than that of those who did not receive RME model learning. The increase in students' mathematical concept understanding ability in the class with RME model learning was in a low category with an average gain score of 0.025. The low increase is due to the limited learning time at school during the adaptation period of new habits, so that learning with the RME model does not run effectively.

Abstract

Academic achievement is a crucial aspect in the field of education. This research aims to explore the improvement of academic achievement among fourth-grade students in the subjects of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences (IPAS) through the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) teaching model at SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun Yogyakarta. The experimental approach is employed as the research method, with the research subjects consisting of 29 students in class IV A and 30 students in class IV B at SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun Yogyakarta. Data analysis is conducted using descriptive statistical techniques. The research findings indicate that the application of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) teaching model has a positive impact on students' academic achievement in the IPAS subjects. There is a significant improvement in student participation, particularly through interaction and group work, creating a more engaging learning environment. These findings are supported by statistical analysis, revealing a significant difference in academic achievement before and after the implementation of the TGT model.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan memanfaatkan model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning pada mata pelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan metode deskriptif. Subyek pada penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik di kelas VII A SMP Negeri 16 Pontianak yang terdiri dari 34 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, posstest, dan dokumentasi. Alat pengumpulan data meliputi lembar observasi, posttest, dan dokumentasi. Analisis hasil penelitian dilakukan dengan perhitungan nilai rata-rata dan persentase hasil. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada dua siklus. Dari setiap siklus dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan dan setiap kali pertemuan terdiri dari tiga tahap: perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan (do), serta refleksi (see). Hasil siklus I terhadap aktivitas guru sebesar 71%, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat sebesar 88%. Aktivitas peserta didik juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I 69% menjadi 84% pada siklus II. Hasil belajar peserta didik setelah penggunaan model Project-Based Learning juga mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar pada siklus I ke siklus II, dengan peningkatan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 11,76%. Rata-rata hasil belajar dari posttest pada siklus I sebesar 81,5, dengan ketuntasan sebanyak 27 peserta didik dengan persentase 79,42%. Pada pada siklus II, rata-rata hasil belajar dari posttest sebesar 83 dengan ketuntasan sebanyak 31 peserta didik dengan persentase 91,18%. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning pada mata pelajaran PPKn dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII A di SMP Negeri 16 Pontianak.
