Abstract

Polibatam Press, a business unit under the Batam State Polytechnic, which was founded in 2017, focuses on publishing books and scientific works. Even though it currently uses a website for publishing and social media for promotion, Polibatam Press does not yet have a company profile that can be easily distributed via various social media platforms. This research aims to develop a company profile video in the form of motion graphics to improve Polibatam Press branding. In the design process, the Villamil-Molina method was used, and its effectiveness was analyzed using the EPIC model. The research results showed that alpha testing was 4.23, which means "feasible,", and beta testing resulted in an EPIC rate of 3.92, which was interpreted as "effective." Based on these results, the resulting motion graphic video fulfills the purpose of its creation by being able to provide information effectively to the people who watch it

Abstract

The fact that Indonesia is a maritime country with a land area of 1,910,931.32 km2 and ocean 3,544,743.9 km2. 64.97% of Indonesia's total area is water, but there are still many areas that lack clean water. Problems in some areas during the summer season also occur in the southern littoral region of Tulungagung. Potential seawater should be used for efforts to overcome water scarcity in local areas. We conducted preliminary research to purify seawater so it could become fresh and drinkable. A prototype model from previous researchers was modified and added a number of natural materials as filters. This natural material utilizes local Tulungagung resources, one of which is marble industry waste. The results showed that the prototype reduced the salinity of sea water from 23 "° to 0.167 "° or reached 97%.

Abstract

Image Processing is a technique of processing images with the input of an image and producing an image as well. One of the functions of Image Processing that the author wants to apply is the detection of an object from a still image or a moving image. In this application, the object to be identified by the author will be applied to the PBL sorting machine in the form of cans and bottles. In designing this system, the You Only Look Once (YOLO) method is used and several libraries. YOLO is an algorithm for detecting an object using an artificial neural network (ANN) from an image where this network divides the image into several regions and predicts each bounding box and probability for each region of the image. The author also uses a webcam to detect the object and a Servo Motor as a sorter on the PBL Sorting Machine. The result of this final project is that the system can detect objects cans and bottles properly and produce precise accuracy and is able to move the sorter based on the output data from the detection results.

Abstract

The ability to move from one point to the destination point autonomously is very necessary in AMR robots, to be able to meet this, the robot must be able to detect the surrounding environment and know its location to the environment, the Hector SLAM algorithm is added using the LIDAR sensor, and to find out the ability of the LIDAR sensor with the Hector SLAM and computer specifications in order to process properly, a simulation of the HECTOR SLAM with the LIDAR sensor was made. Simulation is carried out by creating an environment map on the Gazebo. Then explore environmental mapping using Hokuyo LIDAR which has been added to the turtlebot3 model waffle_pi to the simulated environment map. In this study, a model of the second floor lobby environment and Brail of the Batam State Polytechnic was used which was made in the form of a simulation on the Gazebo, where robots that have used LIDAR will be controlled with a keyboard around the simulation environment, where simultaneously the mapping and localization process runs and the process can be seen on the Rviz in real-time, where LIDAR will send data in the form of distance readings that will be received by Hector SLAM. The results of this study are expected that Hector SLAM using LIDAR sensor simulation can produce environmental mapping and localization in the simulation environment and obtain a minimum computer specification to process data from the SLAM Hector process using LIDAR sensors.
