Abstract

This research begins with a problem in the learning process that is not the expected learning process, as students are less active or have low student involvement in learning so that in the implementation of learning, the classroom atmosphere looks interesting. This research aims to obtain information, data and a picture of an increase in involvement in learning and know the learning outcomes of students of class X IIS 3 of SMA Negeri 1 Pinggir through the Talking Stick learning method. This research aims to obtain information, data, and an overview of increasing in learning involvement and knowing the learning outcomes of students of class X IIS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Pinggir through the Talking Stick learning method. This research is a class action research consisting of two cycles, in which each cycle consists of three meetings. Each meeting has four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results show that through the talking stick learning method, it increases the activeness and learning outcomes of students of class X IIS 3 from the first cycle which is 67.7% and in the second cycle it increases to 85.2%.

Abstract

In 2014 the highest number of visitors was from the archipelago and abroad. In the following year the number of visitors has decreased from 2014. If allowed to continue the number of visitors from year to year will decrease, certainly this Mount Kerinci attraction will not be glimpsed again by the tourists. This study was to determine the characteristics of mountain climbers based on travel, socio-demographic, psychographic and geographical characteristics. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The research subject was mountaineer Mount Kerinci. The sampling technique uses incidental sampling of 98 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observations and documentation. Data analysis techniques use percentages. Research results: 1). Travel characteristics: generally climber visit 2 days, the average visit on weekends / Sundays, on average aiming for recreation and pleasure, on average tourists need accommodations such as homestays. 2). Socio-demographic characteristics: generally the age of climber is 18-20 years, the majority of men, mostly unmarried, are mostly high school education levels with the average work of students. 3). Psychographic characteristics: on average using motorbikes, most of them get information from friends, on average because they enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery, most climber are satisfied, on average think first to return, generally the first time to Mount Kerinci. 4). Geographical characteristics: the average originated and lived in the Jambi area.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of student at geography subject. The aims of this research was to obtain the information and discuss the efforts to improve student learning outcomes of Geography subject through the application of generative learning models at X-IPS3 class in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru in academic year 2019/2020. This research was a classroom action research that consisting of two cycles, where is each cycle consisted of four stages namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of this research was at X-IPS 3 class in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The research was conducted in Odd Semester 2019 in the 2019/2020 of academic years. Data collection techniques by interviewing and observing students in class while studying for 2 months starting from September to October 2019. The results showed that through generative learning models could improve student-learning outcomes of geography at X-IPS 3 class in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

ABSTRACT : The purpose of this research is to propose the Study of Social Capital of the Community in the Adaptation of the Kaba Volcano Eruption Disaster, Sumber Urip Village, Kec. Selepu Rejang. Regency. Rejang Lebong. The type of research used is qualitative research, or the writing and behavior observed from the people (subjects) themselves. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation, then the data obtained are analyzed qualitatively to express the facts found in the field. The results of the research in the field are as follows: 1). Social Capital Studies Community is very related to the values, norms, social trust that collaborate in the environment, especially in the community tradition that produces local wisdom in the adaptation of the Kaba volcano eruption disaster. 2) The role of the government in disaster mitigation efforts in the form of periodic and measured training and simulations, coordination and cooperation in anticipation of facing disasters. 3) Preventive efforts in reducing disaster risk through local wisdom values ​​that are understood as social social capital. 4). Mitigation is generally interpreted as an action taken in minimizing the impact of disasters on both the loss of life, property that affects human life. Abstract

ABSTRACT : 21st Century learning requires educators to evaluate the implementation of learning in schools. The implementation of learning conducted by educators is currently not optimal in preparing students to face the challenges of the 21st century. This study aims to obtain information and discuss efforts to improve learning outcomes in geography through cooperative learning models of group investigation type in class XII IPS 1 Senior High School 1 Situjuah District. The research carried out is class action research (Classroom Action Research). This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2018-2019 school year starting from January to February 2019 with 4 meetings divided into 2 cycles. Cycle I had 2 meetings and Cycle II had 2 meetings. Subjects in this study were students of class XII IPS 1 at SMAN I Situjuah District with a total of 24 students. This research procedure consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, and documentation. Data were analyzed using percentages and data reduction. The results showed that there was an increase in geography learning outcomes through cooperative learning models of group investigation type class XII IPS 1 SMAN 1, Situjuah District

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The road network is one of success supporting factors of a development, so that it takes adequate road network and prioritize speed. By this development, there will be changes in the economic and social condition of society. This research aims to determine the impact of Trans Sumatera toll road Pekanbaru-Dumai construction to the socio-Economic community of Harapan Baru Village, Mandau Sub District, Bengkalis Regency. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population and sample of this research is a society that is close to the construction of the toll in the village of Harapan Baru namely RT. 002 and RT. 005. The Technique of the Data collections through interviews, observations, and polls. The result of the research is the construction of Trans Pekanbaru toll Road-Dumai resulted in positive and negative impacts. The positive impact is to open opportunities for business people around toll road construction and can reduce the number of unemployment in the village of Harapan Baru because of community involvement in the development, but not all communities in the region are working in the construction of the toll road, while the negative impact of toll road construction leads to the income of the plantation communities decreased due to reduced plantations. Abstract

ABSTRACT : This research aimed to find out the amount of carrying capacity for agricultural land in supporting food self-sufficiency in Tanah Datar District. Data analysis used is the level of carrying capacity for the agricultural land. The result of the study shows that the level of carrying capacity of agricultural land in Tanah Datar District is 3,5 with the lowest level of carrying capacity of agricultural land located in Lima Kaum sub-district which is 2,19 and the highest in Pariangan sub-district which is 5,49. This means that Tanah Datar District has been able to implement food self-sufficiency. The benefit of this research is expected to contribute the idea for the government of Tanah Datar District and other related instances in food security and overcoming land conversion, so that will not cause the problem in land carrying capacity toward food self-sufficiency. This research is expected to contribute in developing knowledge of area and economic land resources. Keywords: Analysis, Carrying Capacity, Agricultural Land.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the local wisdom values for managing the conservation forest area in mountain Kaba Selupu Rejang Sub-District. This research is classified as a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The selection of informants is based on snowball throwing techniques. Informants in this study consisted of village heads, traditional leaders, and supporting community members. Data collection is done through observation, documentation, and interviews with several speakers. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT). The results showed that the local wisdom of the community could improve the management of the mountain Kaba conservation area, which was divided into strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the values ​​of that local wisdom.

Abstract

As a disaster prone area, community preparedness is needed in the adaptation for danger and risk of volcanic disasters. This study aims to formulate community preparedness policy model in the adaptation for danger and risk of Kaba volcano eruption. This research is classified as a combination research (mixed methods). The data is processed and analyzed by AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). The results of this research showed that the community preparedness policy model in the adaptation for danger and risk of Kaba volcano eruption is as follows: aspects of compiling the zone of danger and risk (39.1), mapping the zone of danger and risk (23.0), does not build in the danger zone (13.3), does not carry out agricultural activities in the danger zone (10.2).

Abstract

ABSTRACT:The purpose of this study was to identify internal and external factors of the Bukit Kaba Nature Tourism Park and Grojogan Sewu Hot Springs in Sumber Urip Village, Kecamatan Selupu Rejang, Rejang Lebong Regency. Formulate alternative strategies that are appropriate for the development of Bukit Kaba Nature Tourism Objects and Grojogan Sewu Hot Springs in Sumber Urip Village, Kecamatan Selupu Rejang, Rejang Lebong Regency. This type of research is qualitative research, the sampling technique uses non-probability with the type of snowball. The primary data collection process was carried out through interviews related to tourism development strategies in Sumber Urip Village, Kecamatan Selupu Rejang, Rejang Lebong Regency. Technical analysis in this study was SWOT Analysis. The results of this study are the description of the results of the SWOT analysis and strategies that can be used to realize it as a tourist area in Sumber Urip Village, Kecamatan Selupu Rejang, Rejang Lebong Regency (Study Object of Bukit Kaba Nature Park and Grojogan Sewu Hot Springs).
