Abstract

Climate change makes the world thoughtful to take care of nature to keep safe the earth. Bangladesh is one of the most popular countries that experienced many natural disasters almost every year. The aim of this research to make a measure of the factors that affected sustainable development in the country. By natural disasters cyclones such as Sidr 2007, Aila 2009, and Roanu 2016, which will help the responsible division of the natural disaster and sustainable development sectors to figure out the knowledge about natural disasters that effecting the SDG in the country. The research shows the result that cyclone (Sidr 2007, Aila 2009, and Roanu 2016), flood, earthquake, and land-sliders are the most dangerous and frequent natural disasters that were affecting sustainable development. By the damages of the info structure in the country such as roads, houses, bridges, agriculture, cyclone centers, and social economy. Those problems can solve with the advancement of education plus providing the physical resources in advance to face the incident. Furthermore, natural disaster management works together with the United Nations Development Programs by implicating the Climate Change Assessment Projects in Bangladesh.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the right strategy in developing vegetable farming in Sumber Urip Village, Selupu Rejang District based on internal and external factors. The problem in this research is unstable prices, pests and plant diseases, still using simple technology, etc. The prospect of vegetable farming in Sumber Urip Village is quite promising because of requests from outside Bengkulu such as Palembang, Jambi and Bangka. Therefore the right strategy is needed in an effort to develop the farming business. Samples are taken at random. The data is processed using SWOT analysis. The results of this study are the description of the results of the SWOT analysis in the form of a strategy used to develop vegetable farming in Sumber Urip Village.

Abstract

preventing and reducing the number of fatalities and affected populations is a matter that urgently needs attention by the government in managing disaster fire risk in Merangin District. In particular, local governments play a role in reducing the risk of forest fires. Therefore the role of local government is very important to achieve this goal. Jambi Province is an area that is prone to the danger of forest fires with high density, one of which is forest and land fires. This article aims to illustrate the capacity of the local government of Jambi in the context of tackling the disaster of forest land fires. This research method used is a qualitative method with interviews, especially to local governments. The findings show that the capacity of the Jambi Regional Government still needs to be improved. In implementing this, what needs to be improved is the knowledge and skills of local government staff in disaster management of forest land fires, and village level preparedness programs and less detailed disaster maps.

Abstract

Now is the spatial era, where position plays a role in providing information about the existence of objects on earth. Utilization of a variety of devices requires demands on location automation that are fast and accurate. Positioning technology, known as Location-Based Services (LBS), is highly dependent on the Global Satellite Satellite System (GNSS). Now for automatic positioning also started using the Indoors Positioning System (IPS), where GNSS signals that cannot be reached inside the building can be replaced with Bluetooth and Wifi devices installed in the building. This is very important because activities in buildings are the same as benefits outside the building, such as position interests, spatial patterns, guidance or navigation, etc. for a variety of very broad interests such as smartcity, airports, hospitals, hotels, museums, parking lots, shops, exhibition and others. This research aims to utilize IPS as a means of positioning and guiding inventory objects in building space, which can be developed for various applications. Just as GPS uses satellites for reference positions, IPS also requires a number of iBeacon devices installed at a known position to communicate and determine the location of the receiving device (smartphone). Position information from the device will then be sent to the server and then mapped to the information system. Objects targeted by tracking can already be mapped using IPS based on coordinates obtained from the system, and will then be compiled as an object inventory database. Furthermore, a smartphone is used as a guide to see realtime position and then can track the goods based on coordinates in the inventory database.

Abstract

Status of mangrove ecosystem on Liong River, Bengkalis Island, Riau Province, is currently in a condition that tends to get a stressed doe to 60% of indigenous people living around mangroves are loggers. Series Landsat is used as recording data to map the mangrove and to see the changes in the region. This study aims to map changes in mangrove ecosystems from 1990 - 2017 using the OBIA method. The field observation was done using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The results showed that mangrove area has decreased every year. It was caused by anthropogenic and natural factors. Approximately 4.2% of mangrove decrease from 1990 to 2017 and mangrove highest exploitation occurred in 2007 with a decline of 31.5%.

Abstract

Fishery reserves are part of inland public waters in the form of lakes, swamps, rivers or protected puddles. The purpose of this study is to assess fisheries reserves based on social culture, analyze the suitability of locations and analyze zoning in Bokuok lake fishery reserves. The results of the socioculturalanalysis show that the fishery reserves are determined based on the system or customary law regulated in Ninik Mamak Decree No. 04/N.M/TB/IV/2014, have easy access to visit, have Pokmaswas who play an active role, have local wisdom that is Ma'awu activity. The results of the analysis of conformity, station I obtained a score of 75, classified as a fishery sanctuary functioning well and very effective. Station II obtained a score of 62 classified as fisheries asylum functioning well and is very effective. Station III obtained a score of 59 classified as fisheries asylum functioning moderately and quite effectively. The totalarea of Bokuok lake fishery reserves covers an area of 7.31 ha which is divided into 3 zones, the core zone with an area 1.63 ha, sustainable fishery zone with an area of 3.03 ha, utilization zone with an area of 2.65 ha.

Abstract

The District of Besuki is one of the regions in Tulungagung Regency which has karst morphology. The high quantity of rainfall and unpredictable weather in the karst area can increase the risk of natural disasters such as floods and landslides. The technology of making biopore infiltration holes can be used as one of the solutions in flood disaster mitigation efforts. These infiltration holes generally used in dense areas of settlements or regions that have minimal water catchment areas. This study aims to determine the use of biopore to prevent flood in Gambiran, Besole Village, district of Besuki, Tulungagung Regency. This type of research is an experiment. The measure water absorption was utilizing a variety of tools such as double-ring infiltrometer, stopwatch, special ruler measuring the water speed. The results showed that the use of biopore is effective in reducing the impact of flooding in karst topographic areas, especially in Gambiran Hamlet, Besole Village, Besuki district, Tulungagung Regency. This was proven by experiments conducted by making comparisons between treated soils with biopore infiltration holes and soils without any treatment. During one month, with four times the treatment of water absorption can increase more than doubled. If the point without treatment is only able to absorb water as deep as 23 cm / 30 minutes or an average of 0.7 cm/minute, then the treatment point can absorb water as deep as 57cm / 30 minutes or with an average value of 1.9 / minute. With the increasing absorption of groundwater, the use of biopore infiltration holes can reduce the impact of flooding in karst areas, especially in Gambiran Village Besole Village Besuki District Besuki Tulungagung Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the COVID-19 promotive and preventive action in the neighbourhood of fish auction in Karan Aur Village Pariaman City. This method of study uses a descriptive technique, which explains how promotive and preventive efforts are performed in the field. Promotive action about the COVID-19 conducted in the fish auction in the town of Pariaman in the form of counselling in the community. This indication is seen from the community enthusiastic in the question and when the feedback about the disease COVID-19, the community's ability to answer questions also has begun well. As for the constraints in conducting counselling are also found as there are still people who do not concentrate in following the counselling caused because of their attention is distracted by children who are also brought at the time of counselling. Counselling time it felt too short, so the delivery of the extension material is not optimal. COVID-19 preventive execution generally runs as planned. While making preventive measures, there are still many people who do not behave well in the prevention of the spread of Coronaviruses, such as not keeping the distance at the time of communication, the presence of gatherings of people who are more than 5 people without wearing masks. At the time of giving counselling to the shop owner/crotch in the fish auction place about the importance of providing water and soap for hand wash ready action. In general, the shop/shop will apply the action, but there are also found shops/stalls that do not heed this preventative effort.

Abstract

West Sumatra as one of the provinces in Indonesia affected by COVID-19 is among the 10 highest case provinces. West Sumatra also has a high comorbidity rate. Distribution of comorbid cases (elderly, hypertension and diabetes mellitus) are found in all districts / cities in West Sumatra. The aim of the study was to map the distribution of comorbid populations against COVID-19 events in West Sumatra. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. A systematic data search carried out by the comorbid population against COVID-19 was obtained from the health profile database of the health department, West Sumatra Central Statistics Agency 2018, and https://corona.sumbarprov.go.id/ to update the latest case of COVID-19 by Regency / City in West Sumater Province. The distribution of comorbidity is carried out using GIS analysis techniques using Arc-GIS 10.5 software. The highest incidence of COVID-19 and the highest comorbid population in West Sumatra is found in Padang City as the epicenter of spread. Data in the city of Padang are 65,550 elderly, hypertension 203,787 and diabetes mellitus 22,538 and 177 cases of COVID-19 positive confirmed. The conclusion is the high number of comorbid people makes Padang City a high-risk area for COVID-19 in West Sumatra Province.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to try to conduct an outbreak modeling of a Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. The modeling approach used in this study is through dynamic system approach with the SEIR technique (Susceptible - Exposed - Infectious - Recovered). In this model, the effectiveness of the policy is tested on three policy scenarios, namely: (1) Loose Scenario is the effectiveness of the intervention 0 - 30%; (2) Moderate Scenarios is the effectiveness of interventions 31 - 60%; and (3) Strict Scenarios is the effectiveness of interventions > 61%. The dynamic model with the Susceptible - Exposed - Infectious - Recovered (SIER) technique can reasonably project the spread of Covid-19. The scenarios of policy interventions that can be implemented to overcome the spread of Covid-19 in West Nusa Tenggara Province are moderate scenario and strict scenario.
