Abstract

UMKM Berkah Usaha Bakso Rori is a company engaged in the meatball production sector, specializing in packaged meatballs marketed in various markets. This research aims to identify and reduce the frequency of defects by applying the Six Sigma approach, which includes the steps of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control, starting with field observations to identify existing problems. Furthermore, this study involves problem formulation, setting research objectives, and gathering relevant information to analyze and reduce defects in the production process. The collected data will be analyzed using statistical tools, such as Pareto charts, P-Charts, and fishbone diagrams, which help identify the main factors causing defects in the meatball products. The research output shows that defects in the meatball products consist of packaging defects and shape defects. The calculation of the Current Level (CL) results in a value of 0.003. Meanwhile, the calculations for the Upper Control Limit (UCL) and Lower Control Limit (LCL) during the first observation show values of 0.008 and 0, indicating uncontrolled variation in the production process. Based on the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), the failure mode of crumbled meatballs has the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN), with a value of 240. This risk is primarily caused by human factors, namely employees rushing during the packaging process. Based on these findings, this research provides recommendations for improvements, including enhanced training for employees, quality control during the packaging process, and a review of packaging procedures to reduce product defects and improve the quality of the meatballs produced.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Industries (IMKM) necessitate significant focus due to their economic contributions. In Indonesia, the creative industry, exhibits diverse and complex product innovations and variations, alongside a heightened risk of market failure. A market forecasting prediction model is essential prior to the product launch. However, this task becomes challenging when sales data is insufficient. A forecasting model applicable to the pre-launch stage of a new product is the Bass diffusion model, which relies on the optimization of model parameters. This study seeks to model the forecasting of new product demand prior to launch using the Bass diffusion model, specifically for creative industry products, and to assess the adoption pattern of these products within IMKM. The study identified a bass diffusion model applicable to the creative industry through an analysis of fifteen batik products, determining the optimal p, q, and m parameters based on the minimal error value. This study evaluates the adoption characteristics of IMKM batik products, noting similarities to the sales patterns of computer products and a product life cycle ranging from twelve to thirty-six months. This study identifies the parameter values for creative industry products, with an average p parameter of 0.0336, a q parameter of 0.3770, and a m parameter of 497.27. The long dress, as a category of women's fashion, exhibits the longest product life cycle, significant market potential, and a rapid diffusion rate, characterized by an average p parameter of 0.0198, a q parameter of 0.3739, and a m parameter of 721.

Abstract

The development of innovation in the property sector has driven the emergence of various property technology startups. A total of 32 startups have been established, 24% of which operate as marketplaces. One of the main challenges faced by property or real estate marketplaces is enhancing customer experience (CX), which plays a crucial role in the complex process of property transactions. This study aims to analyze the customer journey map (CJM) of a real estate marketplace startup, referred to as PT X. The suboptimal CX processes at PT X have led to a low transaction rate. This research comprises four main stages: data collection and processing, customer journey mapping, pain point analysis using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and the development of improvement recommendations through a service blueprint. The study identifies two major pain points affecting CX: the presence of false or irrelevant information due to the absence of an automated data verification system, and a search algorithm that does not prioritize listings with complete information. The Risk Priority Numbers (RPN) for these pain points are 512 and 448, respectively. Based on the analysis, the proposed recommendations include developing an automated verification system to ensure data validity and optimizing the search algorithm to prioritize listings with high-quality information. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to address the issues, enhance PT X's platform competitiveness, and provide a better user experience in meeting property needs.

Abstract

The food and beverage industry in Indonesia, especially powdered beverages, continues to grow rapidly along with increasing consumer demand for practical products with long shelf life. PT. MNO, as one of the companies in this field, faces challenges in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of its production machines. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of multiline packaging machines using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method to identify factors that affect machine performance and provide recommendations for improvement. OEE is measured based on three main factors, namely availability rate, performance rate, and quality rate. Observations were made for 17 days on machines 11 and 12 in multiline room 4, with three different operational shifts, namely morning, afternoon, and night shifts. The results showed that the average OEE value of machine 11 was 94% and machine 12 was 88.9%, which met the ideal OEE standard of >85%. However, the performance rate of machine 12 was still below the standard of 92.1%, mainly due to high downtime, such as machine setup and label changes. Analysis using a fishbone diagram identifies the causes of low machine performance from the aspects of humans, machines, methods, and raw materials. Some of the main factors that affect machine performance include unstable machine settings, inappropriate sealer temperatures, and less than optimal operator skills. Recommendations for improvement include increasing routine machine maintenance, operator training to improve skills in setting and troubleshooting, and setting the sealer temperature more appropriately according to the characteristics of the label.

Abstract

Developments in the food and beverage sector are increasingly rapid; coffee shop businesses will experience an increase of 60.5% in 2022. Business actors will always strive for the best service for their customers. So, stakeholders must know the relationship between the services provided so that customers are satisfied. The purpose of this study was to see the magnitude of the relationship between service quality, presentation quality, value/price to customer satisfaction at Djamoean Café Pamekasan. The method used this time is structural equation modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. This research shows that service quality has an AVE value <0.70, meaning that the service quality variable is not included in further analysis, the VIF value for all latent variables is below the threshold of 5, so there is no multicollinearity problem in the structural model. The first hypothesis looks for a positive influence of service quality on consumer satisfaction. This test shows that service quality has a positive effect on consumer satisfaction with a P value <0.05. The service quality reliability test showed that the results were unreliable, so service quality had no significant effect, so the first hypothesis was rejected. Serving quality has a positive influence on consumer satisfaction. The test results show that serving quality has a positive influence on consumer satisfaction with a P-value <0.05. So that hypothesis number two can be accepted. Value/price shows P-value> 0.05, then value/price does not have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. So that hypothesis number three is rejected. The author advises Djamoean Cafe Pamekasan to always maintain the quality of taste and hygiene of food and drinks, and provide sufficient serving portions to always provide customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The increasing workload on teaching and administrative staff in Islamic boarding schools has become a crucial issue in human resource management (HR) practices. This study aims to analyze workload distribution, identify influencing factors, and evaluate its impact on overall staff performance. The study employed a qualitative approach through fieldwork, with the research location being an Islamic boarding school in Central Java, purposively selected based on its operational complexity and high academic and non-academic activities. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with 15 participants (teachers, administrative staff, and management), participant observation, and analysis of the school's internal policy documents. The results revealed an inequitable distribution of workload across departments. Boarding school teachers, for example, juggles administrative duties and student guidance without adequate compensation or regulation. Nine of the 15 participants reported experiencing emotional exhaustion, loss of work motivation, and exhibiting clear symptoms of burnout. Five of them expressed a desire to transfer or resign. This situation was exacerbated by a lack of standardized tasks, the high demands of 24-hour work in the boarding school environment, and the pressures of an integrated curriculum. Burnout also impacts the quality of interactions between staff and decreases teacher engagement in learning activities. This study recommends the development of job analysis-based work guidelines, enhanced psychological support, time management training, and technology integration to optimize the workload management system sustainably.

Abstract

Depok Sleman Pharmacy, which has been established since early 2000, is now facing stiff competition from many new competitors, especially franchises with modern and complete services, where service quality is a crucial competitive aspect that has a direct impact on customer satisfaction. Therefore, this study aims to convey the level of customer satisfaction at this pharmacy and formulate service improvement proposals to remain competitive and not appear to be left behind in service facilities. In achieving this goal, the study uses two main methods: the first method is Servqual, which is used to analyze customer satisfaction by measuring the gap between customer expectations and perceptions of five service dimensions, and because the measurement results indicate a negative gap (performance below expectations), it is continued with the stage of formulating improvement proposals using the second method, namely service blueprint, which functions to visualize the entire service flow, including customer interactions (frontstage) and support processes (backstage), in order to address the identified gap points. Data were collected through a physical questionnaire distributed to 100 Depok Pharmacy customers who made in-person transactions on-site between December 2024 and January 2025. The results showed that 19 of the 22 service attributes had a negative gap value, and the overall service quality calculation resulted in a score of 0.964, indicating that most services did not meet customer expectations. Based on these findings, a service blueprint was designed as a proposal for comprehensive improvements to the service flow, in order to improve service quality and strengthen the pharmacy's presence amidst increasingly fierce competition.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country with a monsoon climate characterized by two main seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. These seasonal climate changes not only affect rainfall and air temperature but also significantly impact various aspects of people's lives. Annually varying climate conditions often create uncertainty in human activities, particularly in the agricultural sector, which relies heavily on water availability, the transportation sector, which is vulnerable to disruptions due to extreme weather, and the disaster management sector, which requires climate data-based planning. Therefore, an accurate, systematic, and reliable climate forecasting method is needed to support more informed decision-making. This study uses the Markov Chain method to model the probability of climate forecasting using data obtained from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and Accuweather, utilizing the transition probability from previous to future climate conditions. Based on the results of the study, a comparison of the two data sources shows that BMKG is more dominant in predicting light rain with an average probability of 48%, while Accuweather tends to be more dominant in predicting cloudy conditions with a probability of 40%. With this model, daily climate predictions can be used to support decision-making and activity planning in Indramayu Regency, especially Balongan District.

Abstract

The submission of proposals for Civil Servant (ASN) positions in Klaten Regency has been done manually so far, resulting in an inefficient data management process across various Regional Government Organizations, prone to input errors, and complicating the data validation, monitoring, and recapitulation processes. This research aims to develop an ASN Formation Needs Proposal Information System, which simplifies the management of employee formation proposals by providing employee data, job requirements, and retirement projections based on Job Analysis and Workload Analysis, and to evaluate its quality. The system development method employs a waterfall approach, comprising the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation (coding), system testing, and maintenance. The results of system testing with E-GovQual on the variables (Efficiency, Trust, Reliability, and Citizen Support) indicate that all instrument items are deemed valid and reliable, with Cronbach's Alpha values for each variable exceeding 0.7. From the E-GovQuav testing, it was found that attributes EF3, TRS2, RLB5, and CS2 were identified as the most influential factors on system quality. This research suggests that this system can assist Regional Apparatus Organizations in structuring their proposals for staffing needs and enable the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) to verify, analyze, and recapitulate data on staffing needs proposals more efficiently and accurately. This system can be an optimal solution in supporting transparency and accuracy in managing ASN staffing needs proposals in Klaten Regency

Abstract

Employee performance and well-being may be impacted by a high-pressure work environment's increased cognitive burden. For managerial solutions to be more focused, it is necessary to determine the underlying reasons of this condition. The purpose of this study is to determine the predominant factors and evaluate the cognitive workload levels of employees at PT. ABC's HR and General Affairs Department using the NASA-TLX method. Observation, NASA-TLX questionnaire distribution, and SPSS data processing (descriptive analysis, normality test, and Independent Samples t-Test) are the techniques employed. Five of the twelve respondents fell into the category of very high cognitive load, six into the category of high, and one into the category of moderately high; job performance factors, especially those pertaining to meeting KPI report targets, appeared as the predominant factor. The test findings indicate that the data distribution is normal. There is not a significant distinction in the cognitive load levels of structural and non-structural employees, according to the test findings, which display a normal data distribution. In order to lessen work-related stress, recommendations include establishing more flexible working hours and offering support facilities (such pantries). These results help businesses create more efficient cognitive load management plans and create avenues for additional research using various analytical techniques.
