Abstract

Abstract. This descriptive study aims to determine: 1) the suitability of learning objectives with basic competencies (BC), 2) the distribution of cognitive process levels of learning objectives based on Bloom's taxonomy revision, and 3) the completeness of the components of the formulation of learning objectives in the lesson plan (LP) for high school biology teachers at SMA Negeri 14 Gowa. There were 11 LP studied, namely 6 LP for the even semester of class XI and 5 LP for the even semester of class XII for the academic year 2020/2021 which consisted of 22 BC, 80 indicators of competency achievement (ICA), and 80 formulations of learning objectives. The instruments used are assessment sheets and checklists. The data is processed by calculating the percentage (%) of each category. It was concluded: 1) the suitability of the learning objectives with the dominant BC (63.75%) was appropriate, 28.75% was quite suitable, and 7.50% was not suitable; 2) distribution of levels of cognitive process learning objectives based on the revision of Bloom's taxonomy dominant (53.75%) C2, each level has been represented but not proportionally; 3) the completeness of the dominant learning objective component (97.50) is incomplete, containing only audience and behavior components, some even have only behavior components. Keywords: lesson plans, learning objectives, suitability, distribution, completeness.

Abstract

Abstract. The formulation of the problem in this research is how to develop a valid molecular genetics practicum guide with the aim of testing the validity of the practicum guide in molecular genetics courses for undergraduate biology study program students. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The instrument used is a validation sheet filled out by a validator expert. Data was collected through analysis of validation sheets that had been filled in by expert validators and analyzed descriptively in order to obtain data in the form of a validity score. The results showed that practicum guides had an average validity score in the range of 4.5 ≤ Va = 5, in this case it met the very valid criteria. Keywords: ADDIE development model, practicum guide, molecular genetics

Abstract

Abstract. The attitude of students and teachers towards the Blended Learning Model in Biology class XI at SMA Negeri Makassar is a descriptive quantitative research. The purpose of this study was to determine the attitudes of students and teachers towards the Blended Learning Model in class XI Biology at SMA Negeri Makassar. The research was conducted from April to May 2022 at SMA Negeri 21 Makassar, SMA Negeri 18 Makassar, SMA Negeri 6 Makassar, SMA Negeri 17 Makassar, and SMA Negeri 10 Makassar. The research instrument used a questionnaire on the attitudes of students and teachers. The data analysis process was carried out using SPSS ver.23. The results of the study showed that students' attitudes towards Blended Learning Model in Biology class XI at SMA Negeri Makassar were in the neutral category with a percentage of 38% and teachers' attitudes towards Blended Learning Model in Biology class XI at SMA Negeri Makassar were at negative category with a percentage of 50%.Keywords: students and teachers attitude, blended learning model

Abstract

Abstract. Correlation of Knowledge and Attitudes towards Waste Management in the Community in Baranti Subdistrict in Sidenreng Rappang District. The type of this study is expost-facto, which aims to discover the correlation between knowledge and attitudes towards waste management in the community in Baranti subdistrict in Sidenreng Rappang district. The independent variables are knowledge and attitudes, whereas the dependent variables are the waste management. The research population in this study were all households in the Baranti subdistrict in Sidenreng Rappang district, whereas the samples were 190 people taken by using the Issac and Michael table with the level of error 5%. Data collection technique employed questionnaire and interviews. Data were analyzed by employing descriptive statistical technique and inferential statistical technique. The results of the study based on inferential statistics analysis are as follows, it is that there is a positive and significant correlation between knowledge and waste management at a strong correlation level with the sig. there is a positive and significant correlation between attitudes and waste management at a very strong correlation level with the sig. There is a positive and significant correlation between knowledge and attitudes towards community waste management at a very strong correlation level with the sig. The biggest effective contribution to the dependent variable (Waste Management) is given by attitude by 55.81%, and knowledge by 16.23%. The total effective contribution is 72.04%, which means knowledge and attitude collectively provides an effective contribution by 72.04% to the community waste management in Baranti subdistrict in Sidenreng Rappang district, while 27.96% is influenced by unexamined factors. Keywords: knowledge, attitudes, waste management

Abstract

Abstract. Learning videos on mushrooms for class X students were developed with the aim of producing learning media that are valid and practical. The learning videos on mushroom material that are developed have a short duration, are supported by animation, images, text, and sound so that the mushroom material is more easily understood by users. This research is a type of research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model or a model with stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The subjects of this study were expert lecturers as subjects who assessed research instruments and tested the validity of learning videos on mushrooms. Biology teachers and X MIA 5 students at MAN 1 Makassar City as subjects who tested the practicality of mushroom learning videos. The results showed that the learning videos on mushrooms for class X students were valid and practical. The results of the validity value obtained were 4.5 (valid), and the practicality value obtained from the teacher's response was 90% (very practical). So, it can be concluded that the learning videos on mushroom material for class X students developed can be used and tend to improve student learning outcomes. Abstract

Abstract. One of the important things that must be considered by the teacher in the learning process is to know in advance the characteristics of students. Learning style modality is one of how students know and recognizes their personality in the learning process. The type of research used in this study was a survey using a qualitative descriptive approach. The population in this study were all high school students in class IX, Jeneponto Regency, for the 2021/2022 academic year. The samples in this study were students from SMA 9, SMA 10, and SMA 12 students in class IX. science specialization with a total of 67 students consisting of 20 male students and 47 female students. The instrument used in this study was the VARK questionnaire (Visual, Aural, Read, and Kinesthetic) developed by Neil D. Fleming. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis with the acquisition of the percentage of each learning style possessed by students. The results showed that the modality of the learning styles of Jeneponto District Senior High School students was the Aural learning style. There is no difference in learning styles between male and female students. The dominant gender based student learning style is Aural. .Keywords: biology lessons, learning styles, gender.
