Abstract

The high demand for role and function as a nurse can potentially lead to burnout. The impact of burnout causes patients to have secondary infections that are not caused by the disease, decrease patient satisfaction and quality of care and mortality. Efforts that can be done to reduce the nurse's burnout is through the application of an effective leadership style. Caring leadership as a leadership style can facilitate the needs of nurses so that it will improve performance. This study aims to determine the effect of caring leadership of the head of space on the burnout of nurses. The method used is quasi experiment pre and post design with control group. A total of 46 nurses were taken as samples through purposive sampling fron 426 nurses. Data analysis using pairred t-test. The results showed that there was difference of average burnout value before and after applied caring leadership with p-value=0.000, which means there is influence of head room caring leadership against nurse's burnout. Implementation of caring leadership should be done consistently for all nursing activities in the hospital, given the caring leadership can reduce the burnout of nurses that will ultimately have an impact on the quality of nursing services.

Abstract

Triage is a process of patients classification based on the type and the level of emergency condition in health services especially in Emergency Room (ER). In the ER, Health Care Workers (HCWs) never know when do patients come, how many and how do their condition. For anticipating that conditions, the ER HCWs need good arrangement especially in the rapid identification of patients,  therefore patients can be classified based on the type and level of emergency. ER requires HCWs who have triage standard operational procedures (SOP) compliance to make sure the effective services. The factors associated with HCWs compliance are internal factors and external factors. The internal factors are  level of education, knowledge, motivation, age and working period. The external factors are  supervision, reward and punishment system. Key Word: Triage, level of education, knowledge, compliance of health care workers

Abstract

Fifty percent of end-of-life patients spend the last time of their life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). End of life conditions have an impact on the psychological, physical, social, and family environment that affect the quality of life of other families. Family welfare will have an impact on care outcomes, hospitalization time, and patient stressor levels. The purpose of this study was to explore the life quality of end of life patient's family in ICU. This research used qualitative method with descriptive phenomenology approach. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique with 9 participants. data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using the Colaizzi method.  The data validity was designed to meet the principle of triangulation of researchers and theory. The results showed 7 dimensions of life quality of end of life patient's family of physical health (fatigue, sleep disorder, headache, decreased appetite), mental health (anxiety, sadness, hope of improved family health condition), spiritual health (acceptance), health social (social support), daily life (daily life adjustment), financial health (financial burden), and environment (opportunity to get information, family infrastructure).  This study concludes that end of life condition of critical patients impacts on the 7 dimensions of family life quality. Nurses should pay attention to the family life quality because it affected the condition of the patient  and family as the care service unit. Keywords: Life Quality, Family, End Of Life, Intensive Care Unit

Abstract

The World Health Organization (2010) juga menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi interprofesi.

Abstract

Examination of Antenatal Care (ANC) is an examination of pregnancy to optimize the physical and mental health of pregnant women so they can face the birth, post-partum period, breastfeeding preparation, and restore the health of reproductive system naturally. Family planning, antenatal care, clean and safe vaginal delivery, and obstetric care should be applied to all women of reproductive age as stated in the Safe Motherhood with its concept of the four pillars. Utilization of health facilities needs to be improved to reduce morbidity and maternal mortality. As for the achievement of K1 and K4 coverage at Puskesmas Panti in the last two years remain below the target, namely K1 by 117%, while the K4 as much as 67.84%. In 2016, K1 coverage is equal to 414 (70.29%) of 589 pregnant women, K4 is as much as 38.54% of 227 pregnant women. These data indicate a considerable gap between the coverage of K1 and K4. The gap between K1 and K4 in Puskesmas Panti in 2016 is quite large, 31.75% of the target gap which should not exceed 10% (Data of PWS Puskesmas Panti, 2016). This study aimed to analyze the relationship between motivation and satisfaction levels of pregnant women in antenatal care at the Puskesmas Panti, Jember Regency. This research is quantitative research using path analysis method. This study design was cross-sectional with a sample of 50 pregnant women taken with the technique of consecutive sampling. Data were collected in August-November 2017. Data were analyzed using data processing software. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between satisfaction with patient motivation in conducting ANC with a value of CR 2.78, there was a significant effect between satisfaction with safety in conducting ANC with a CR value of 0.34, and there was satisfaction with non-support that increased the meeting patients in performing ANC with a CR value of 0.39.Furthermore, the results of the analysis and conclusions of the study will be the basis for solving health problems. The recommendation is provided based on results of the study as an attempt to improve the performance of K1 and K4. Keywords: Motivation ,  Satisfaction, Antenatal Care
