Abstract

This study aimed to explore the contribution of social economy value, the level of involvement of community members from a gender perspective, and to explore the amount of carbon that sequestrated from the dukuh management. Direct observation and open interviews were the methods that were carried out to collect information from the owners of dukuh and key informants. The results showed that dukuh contributed 54,84% of the total annual income. Dukuh management was mostly conducted by men and women of 46,67% and 37,18%, respectively. All family members of both men and women had the equal rights and responsibility in sustaining the dukuh management. The total number of carbon stocks in the dukuh management was 213,20 tons/ha. The number of above ground carbon stocks was bigger than below ground carbon stocks of 65,25% and 34,74%, respectively.

Abstract

This research aims to 1) know the public perception of the development area minapolitan Buntok Seberang, 2) explore the factors that influence people's perception of regional development minapolitan Buntok Seberang such as education, employment, income, length of residence, counseling, and the death of goldfish; 3) explore the community's aspirations for regional development activities minapolitan Buntok Seberang. This research uses survey methods, focused on the heads of households (families) who has cages (karamba)  in Barito River, where the carp are maintained by experienced mass death, are 4 (four) villages/rural, that is Hilir Sper, Buntok Kota, Baru and Teluk Telaga which is part of the plan minapolitan. Proportionate number of respondents who were sampled as many as 65 the heads of households with 37 families in the data distribution of Hilir Sper, 19 households in the Buntok Kota, 6 families in Baru and 3 households in Teluk Telaga. The results showed that the public perception of the development of the region is positive minapolitan Buntok Seberang or beneficial to society. People's perceptions are influenced by factors of education, employment, income, length of residence / attempt and death of a goldfish. Aspirations of the people against the development of the area minapolitan Buntok Seberang the need for help production facilities (saprodi) fishery, handling marketing, capital assistance, guidance / counseling on a regular basis as well as the support from the local fishery cooperatives / agencies.

Abstract

Crop Sirsak (Annona Muricata L.) having potency as larvasida involve. use Larvasida involve the peaceful relative because the residu easy to degradasi and non relative contaminate the environment. This research aim to specify the concentration of extract Annona muricata L leaf effective kill to wiggler of  Aedes aegypti, specifying concentration influence with the disclosure time and specify  of concentration and disclosure time of extract Annona muricata L leaf with the death wiggler of Aedes aegypti. Kind of Research experimental, by using Complete Random Device  two factor , that is concentration of extract Annona muricata L leaf and disclosure time. Result of analysis probit show the concentration of extract Annona muricata L leaf effective kill to wiggler of Aedes aegypti at LC90 with the concentration 459,82 ppm with the disclosure time 24 clock. From research result show the excelsior of concentration of extract Annona muricata L  leaf hence longer disclosure time faster. Correlation test show there is correlation betwen concentration of extract Annona muricata L leaf with the death wiggler of Aedes aegypti,  level correlation is medium ( r=0,432). While time of disclosure and death wiggler of Aedes aegypti show the strong relation ( r=0,743). Test the regresi show the existence of positive influence concentration of extract Annona muricata L leaf and disclosure time to death wiggler.

Abstract

Change and use change forest into coal mining area has led to changes in the biophysical environment and social environment forest villagers. This study aimed to analyze the attitudes towards  changes in environmental conditions biophysical and social environment of rural communities around the mining of coal before and after the change and use change forest into coal mining region. The study was conducted in Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan. The method used to achieve the purpose of the study is the quantitative approach. Quantitative data from the data collecting through questionnaire will be processed through the editing process is researching the answers to the questionnaire, coding which classifies respondents consisting of three scales and then calculate the frequency based data distribution and tabulation. The results of the study public attitudes to change and use change forest into the area of coal mining and public attitudes show a positive attitude, which means it is a change to changing environmental conditions biophysical and social environment of rural communities around the mining of coal before and after the change and transfer of forest land use be a coal mining region.

Abstract

Area of land miners in the area of Landasan Ulin district Banjarbaru town is diverse, while the excavation area C in the area of 25 hectares study. Results of the study of water quality, temperature, TDS, turbidity, salinity, pH and DO indicates that the value is still within normal limits on the allowed based on Water Quality Standards in government regulation No.82 of 2001 regarding management of water quality and Water Pollution Control. Value of normal water quality parameters showed that material excavated materials category C in Landasan Ulin district banjarbaru town is not harmful for biotic of water living in it.

Abstract

Soap is a cleaning product made by a chemical reaction between the bases with fatty acids. one additional ingredient in the process of making soap is herbal ingredients such as leaves of buas-buas (Premna cordifolia, Linn). Leaves buas-buas contain substances flavonoid, saponins and essential oils that have antimicrobial activity. based on these compounds, the leaves of wild-wild has potential ly for use as an additional herbal ingredients for herbal soaps. The aims of this study are to make transparent soap with leaf extract of buas-buas as additional ingredients, analyze the herb soap with standard quality parameters such as pH, water content, foam stability, hardness,  the number of free alkali test, and knowing soap antifungal activity against Candida albicans. This study was an experimental study using two herbal formulations 5% and 15%. the soap-making process carried out by the method of melting and pouring process. Test the quality of soap herb products includes pH, water content, foam stability, hardness,  the number of free alkali test, and knowing soap antifungal activity against Candida albicans. The results of the analysis were then compared to the quality standard SNI 06-3532-1994 for soap making. The results of the test the quality of herbal soap products with buas-buas leaf extract showed that the herbal soap with the addition of wild-wild leaf extract has the characteristics meet the quality standards of SNI 06-3532-1994. The concentration of wild-wild leaf extract used influence to decrease transparency properties of soap. The higher the concentration of leaf extract wild-wild, diminishing transparency of soap products. Based on the antifungal test showed that the soap products containing buas-buas leaf extract inhibited the growth of Candida albicans.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to give information condition and potention of mud crab. This research used survey method which are a). observation, b). direct interview c). in situ treatment and d). sampling.  Research location at Sungai Musang Village, Aluh-Aluh, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Parameters observe were mud crab species, water quality (water temperature, salinity, water pH, NO2-N, NO3-N, NH3-N, DO, and transfarance), and biology (plankton dan mud crab larvae). The results founded that 3 mud crab species 1). Scylla serrata 2). S. transquebarica and  3) S. oceanica. The range of water temperature was (30-340C), Salinity (0-1%o), water pH (7,80-8), NO2-N (0,36 mg/L), NO3-N (2,01 mg/L), NH3-N (0,46-2,5 mg/L), DO (1,65-4,20 ppm), transparance (32 cm), diversity index of phytoplankton (0,89), and  zooplankton (1,58).  Ecology and biology, showed that water quality was suitable to mud crab culture. Mud crab larvae was trap zoae and megalopa stadia with density of 20 ind/L. Little number of mud crab trapped, was assumed due todisfunction condition of  mangrove forest.

Abstract

The purpose of this study 1) assess the ability of aquatic plants Salvinia molesta, Eleocharis dulcis and Phragmites karka in reducing pollutant effluent, Zinc, DO, temperature, pH, BOD, COD, TSS, Turbidity  and Ammonia (NH3) in the rubber industry wastewater, 2) compare the water potential of plants to absorb pollutants wastewater rubber; 3) assess the status of the marine environment of rubber wastewater ponds to three (3) water treatment plant, the heavy metals zinc (Zn) in liquid waste rubber. The results of the study resulted in plant water Purun Rat able to reduce BOD by 64%, COD by 17% and Turbidity by 80%, water kiambang able to lower Zinc by 49% and TSS by 70%, water plant perupuk able to reduce ammonia (NH3) by 23%. Stable temperature and pH value in each pool plant installation, the results of research conducted in this value in the effluent water quality rubber has not met the quality standard of waste according to Government Regulation No. 8 of 2001 concerning Management of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control. Abstract

The experiment was conducted in Leuwikopo, Dramaga, Bogor, Indonesia from October until December 2010  to study the effect of soil and foliar applications of nitrogen+potassium fertilizer on waterleaf shoot (Talinum triangulare (Jacq.) Willd) protein and anthocyanin production. A randomized complete block design was used with 3 replications and 4 treatments. The treatments were different rates of N+K for soil application with or without foliar application, they were 100% N+K rates of soil application (150 kg urea + 150 kg KCl/ha); 100, 75, and 50% N+K rates of soil application added with foliar application of 0.2% urea and 0.1% KCl.  Fertilizers were applied on soil on 0, 30, and 60 days after planting, while foliar applications were conducted on 15, 30, 45, and 60 days after planting.  The result showed that the highest protein and anthocyanin production of waterleaf shoot for 75 days were produced by 100% soil application of N+K; protein production was 16,98 g/plant while anthocyanin production was 170,27µmol/plant.

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) analyze the market opportunity of the giant featherback crackers processing business in Barito Kuala Regency; (2) analyze the profit of the giant featherback crackers processing business in Barito Kuala Regency; and (3) analyze the investment feasibility of the giant featherback crackers processing business in Barito Kuala Regency.     This research was carried out in Bahalayung and Lapasan Villages, Bakumpai District, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan, with the objects of the giant featherback crackers processors. The data that was collected was the data that directly originated from results of observation in the location of the research, and the other supporting data was related to the object of the research. Results of the research showed that the demand of the giant featherback crackers in Barito Kuala Regency was about 36 ton per the year, with the mean supply of the giant featherback crackers was about 6 ton per the year, so that the giant featherback crackers processing business still owned the market opportunity as many as 30 tons per the year. The giant featherback crackers processing business could give the profit about Rp.6,893,000 - Rp.12,930,000 per the year or about Rp.19,147 - Rp.21,550 per kg with the production about 360 - 600 kg.  The giant featherback crackers processing business in Barito Kuala Regency was profitable and feasible to be carried on, considering the Net Present Value was positive and the Net BCR that more than one, as well as the business was still beneficial was limited by the interest did not reach 137% with the period of the return of investment till 0.71 years (faster than the project period during five years).
