Abstract

The high diversity of plants in Indonesia provides many benefits for the community, one of which is the use of plants as traditional medicines so that the prospects for rnedicinal plant agro-industry in lndonesia are very large. The exploitation of forests and land for plantation and rnining activities in North Barito District is currently threatening the existence of the tabat barito as one of the plants that live in the forest. The objectives of this study were to identify the microhabitat characteristics of barito tabat in its native habitat. Tabat barito was found to live attached to 2 types of host trees, namely kuyum bakei trees (Elaeocarpus sp. ) and kacuhui trees (Shorea sp.). These two types of host plants have similarities in terms of habitat where they grow and similar trunk characteristics, namely thick, grooved bark, easily cracked and porous and can peel. The microclimatic conditions measured were elevation 29 - 64, ternperature range 32 - 33.1 "C, relative humidity 58 - 67% and light intensity 394-732 lux.

Abstract

Waste management in Palangka Raya City is in the Km Landfill. 14. The landfill is divided into 2 activities, namely waste management and leachate management installation. The waste management system is a method applied at the end point of waste processing. Waste collected at the landfill arrives at the landfill. The purpose of this study is to analyze waste generation, waste composition, and waste sources, analyze whether the waste management method affects the quality of leachate water and groundwater of the surrounding residents, and analyze the pollution index in the groundwater of the surrounding residents. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method by analyzing leachate and groundwater samples examined at the regional health laboratory. The results of these samples will be compared with leachate water quality standards, groundwater quality standards for sanitary hygiene purposes, and groundwater pollution index tests. The quality of leachate is unaffected by the operational method of waste processing. All leachate water samples for the parameters TSS and Cadmium are below the quality standard for final waste processing, except for the TSS value at station St2, this is because the wastewater is still in the waste pile area and has not yet entered the leachate management installation pond. The results of groundwater sample tests in several residents' homes for the pH parameter are below the quality standard. The pollution index results show that the water used daily is categorized as lightly polluted.

Abstract

Protecting the environment cannot be done by just one or two people or agencies but by all sides. It is the responsibility of us all to improve and change the condition of our environment. Thus, it is necessary to instill the attitude and character of caring and loving the environment from early on, especially in the young generation. The purpose of this study is to determine knowledge, attitudes, and environmental actions on pro-environmental behavior in the community of Sungai Miai Climate Village, as well as analyze the influence among knowledge, attitudes, and environmental actions on pro-environmental behavior of the Community of Climate Village Sungai Miai, Banjarmasin City. The sample of this research is a census taking all the people of the climate village who participate in the activities. Data collection with Likert scale questionnaire method and data analysis using SEM test through Lisrel 88 program. The results of the research data showed that environmental knowledge affects pro-environmental behavior, which is known as the effect of environmental knowledge with a t-value of 2.10 and an estimated coefficient of 0.31. That value is significant because the t-value> 1.96 is supported by the field facts that the community of Sungai Miai climate village often conducts counseling, training and socialization about the environment at their integrated service post. While the attitude has a t-value of -0.09 and an estimated coefficient of -3.30. The action value is 0.09 and the estimated coefficient is 3.23. This value is deemed insignificant because the t-value is not > 1.96 and the estimated value does not qualify as sufficiently high, there is no correlation between latent variables with latent variables of pro-environmental behavior. However, attitudes and actions have no impact on pro-environmental behavior due to a lack of public awareness of the environment and the lack of environmental facilities in their area.

Abstract

South Kalimantan is one of the provinces in Indonesia which has a high risk of flood disasters seen from its physical condition, which geographically is mostly located below sea level. In 2021, 11 out of a total of 13 districts and cities in South Kalimantan were affected by flooding on a large scale, which caused tens of thousands of residents to suffer losses and even lost family members. IBFWS (Impact Base Forecast and Warning Services) is present as the latest innovation from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency as an impact-based weather forecast information service. To determine the accuracy of the IBFWS service information, it is necessary to validate the prediction results issued by IBFWS with the actual situation. By using spatial analysis methods, it is hoped that it can describe which areas are potentially affected by flooding and continued with the calculation of the contingency table so that the accuracy value of IBFWS is obtained in predicting areas potentially affected by flooding in South Kalimantan. IBFWS validation results in predicting areas potentially affected by flooding in South Kalimantan during the rainy season range between 0.85 – 1.00 which mean 85% - 100% the IBFWS prediction results are correct, during the transition season in general is 0.77 which mean 77% the IBFWS prediction results are correct, and during the dry season it ranges between 0.92 – 1.00 which mean 92% - 100% the IBFWS prediction results are correct.

Abstract

The number and distribution of TPS in the City of Banjarmasin currently does not meet the waste service needs of the City of Banjarmasin. The unequal distribution of TPS facilities has caused rubbish to pile up at several TPSs due to the lack of number of TPSs and the lack of TPS services. The step needed to overcome this problem is to identify the existing condition of the Banjarmasin City waste transportation system. Data collection was carried out by observation and interviews, then the data was processed by descriptive analysis. The research results show that the existing condition of the Banjarmasin City waste transportation system currently has 70 waste transport fleets which are divided into 3 types, namely 27 units of armroll trucks, 33 units of dump trucks, and 10 units of compactor trucks. The waste transportation pattern in Banjarmasin City uses the HCS transportation pattern for the Armroll truck fleet and the SCS transportation pattern for the dump truck and compactor truck fleet.
