Abstract

SUSTAINABLE RESTAURANT BUSINESS. PROCESSING OF COOKING OIL WASTE AT THE LAMONGAN PECEL LELE SOCIAL GROUP, MADURAN VILLAGE. In contrast to traditional business activities that are only centered on profit, sustainable businesses think about environmental and social impacts. Lamongan Pecel Lele Restaurant is often found in almost every region in Indonesia. The most waste generated from these business activities is cooking oil or commonly called used cooking oil. Waste used cooking oil if not treated properly will have a negative impact on health and the environment. One of the target goals number 12 of the SDGs is to achieve environmentally friendly management of chemicals and other wastes throughout their life cycle, in accordance with an agreed international framework, and significantly reduce the release of these materials into air, water and soil in order to minimize impacts bad material for human health and the environment. Seeing this phenomenon, the Ahmad Dahlan Jakarta Institute of Technology and Business felt the need to provide community service with the theme "Sustainable Restaurant Business. Processing of Cooking Oil Waste at the Lamongan Pecel Lele Paguyuban, Maduran Village ". Community service activities include extension activities, provision of manuals and tutorial videos, provision of tools and materials for soap making. The results felt by the service partners producing used cooking oil soap within one month after processing it is used independently for each member as hand washing soap at service partner restaurants, cleaning clothes, or cleaning restaurant floors.

Abstract

REDUCING THE USE OF PLASTIC PACKAGING PRODUCTS SNACK FOOD FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS 06 ULAK KARANG UTARA PADANG. School-age children are the generation of the nation's administrators, when they are of developmental age that require nutritional intake to improve good nutritional status. School children generally spend one third of their time at school, thus causing children the opportunity to buy food in the school area. Based on previous research, it was found that almost all respondents (98.7%), students had the habit of buying snacks at school, with the highest frequency of snacks being 2 times a day. Often food products are sold in plastic packaging, where the plastic packaging for food products that does not comply with the Indonesian National Standard has harmful contents for the body. Children buy snack food products based solely on their preferences without thinking that the snack food products are served in packaging made of plastic-based products that can cause illness for themselves. Community service is carried out through socializing the use of plastic packaging products on snacks for elementary school students. Data collection was carried out through observation, document study and interviews, at Elementary School 06 Ulak Karang Utara Padang from March to July 2019. Respondents consisted of 3rd grade students and street food vendors selling at Ulak Karang Utara 06 Elementary School, Padang. The form of activity is the socialization of the types of plastics and the negative impact of using plastic products for body health by using posters and brochures and implementing plastic waste management with the concept of 3R, Reuse, Reduce, Recycle.

Abstract

UTILIZATION OF ACCU WASTE AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS AS AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY ELECTRICAL ENERGY SOURCE. This community service is a form of community development activity in the utilization of Accu waste and electronic components as an alternative energy source for mini-inverters. The mini-inverter module is made using the Joule Thief method. This method is able to increase low electric power from a 1.5-volt battery source into AC alternating current that can turn on LED lights. The service activity will be carried out in Hajimena Village, Natar District, South Lampung Regency in August 2020. This community service activity was attended by 32 participants. Each service participant has been fostered and guided about the process of making mini-inverter modules from waste batteries and components that are no longer used so that they are ready to use and suitable for use and of economic value. The components used in the manufacture of mini-inverters are all obtained from components from AKI and used electronic components as alternative energy sources. With this activity, it is hoped that the partner community will understand how to utilize waste that is difficult to decompose into ready-to-sell goods.

Abstract

MARKETING COMMUNICATION DEVELOPMENT TRAINING ON BUSINESS PRODUCTS OF FAMILY WELFARE EMPOWERMENT GROUP IN CUKANGKAWUNG VILLAGE, TASIKMALAYA REGENCY. This community service aims to assist partners in developing partner-owned businesses through marketing communications. Cukangkawung Village is rich in natural resources, one of which is processed from nature as a product that can be marketed and has the potential to compete in the market. However, this is constrained in marketing partner products. One of the problems is that marketing is still local in nature, does not have a brand and packaging is still plain. The condition of partner product packaging is still using clear plastic with staples attached and the copy product brand, of course this does not provide added value to partner products. Therefore, assistance is needed on how to market products, one of which is packaging that attracts consumers. So that the selling value of partner products increases. The results of the activity show change in increased knowledge and understanding of the potential, benefits, importance of packaging, digital marketing and promotional techniques. Through this service, products that have added value in promoting are created and supported by providing packaging and sealer for three partner groups in Cukangkawung Village, namely Molring in Cilogata village, snacks in Bangbayang and Harapan Mukti village business group.

Abstract

DEVELOPING BILINGUAL WEB-BASED SCHOOL INFORMATION SYSTEM AT SMA MUHAMMADIYAH GADING REJO. This study aimed at developing a bilingual web-based school information system as a medium to promote and deliver school information to students, parents and community. This system is equipped with school profile information, school facilities, school achievement and documentation that can provide an overview of the school. As a result, parents can select the best school for their children in accordance with their talents and interests. The research method used is a research and development through preliminary research, design and realization. The system is developed by using PHP language and MySQL. All components of the application, which include the user interface, processing scripts and database reside on the server. The website is http://smamuhammadiyahgadingrejo.com.

Abstract

WORKSHOP MODEL BASED ONLINE LEARNING AS AN ALTERNATIVE OF ECONOMICS LEARNING IN COVID-19 ERA. The Covid-19 pandemic spread rapidly since March 2020; it impacts in a change in the learning mode from face-to-face learning to online learning. It led various problems felt by teachers and students. Online learning that has been carried out is dominated by assignments and minimal interaction between teachers and students. One of the factors causing the ineffectiveness of online learning is that teachers are not accustomed to arranging online learning. The purpose of this service community activity is to provide training for Economics teachers in developing online learning models as an alternative of Economics learning. The subject of this service community activity are Economics teachers in East Java. These activities are divided into two stages, namely (1) seminars, where participants get material related to the essence of online learning; and (2) assistance in developing online learning models. The results of this service community activity concluded that most of the participants gave a positive response to the training that had been implemented and they were able to arrange online classes well.

Abstract

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MINAPOLITAN TOURISM AREAS IN PETALONGAN VILLAGE, INDRAGIRI HULU REGENCY. Petalongan village is located in the district of Pasir Penyu, Indragiri Hulu Regency-Riau Province. This village is still underdeveloped. Even though petalongan village has a lot of potential to be developed. In this case, the service activity aims to change people’s behavior in organizing, utilizing or managing their nature, traditions and culture to improve the community’s economy through the development of a tourist village minapolitan area. The targets of this service activity are BUMDes managers and PKK mothers. The service model uses Community Based Tourism (CBT), starting from mapping village potential, socialization, FGD, training, and mentoring. Based on the mapping and FGD, the potential of a village that can be developed is to make the village a minapolitan area for aquaculture-based tourism. The training activities focused on catfish and tilapia farming for BUMDes. Product development training is carried out aimed at supporting tourism and is also carried out in order to increase community understanding, attitudes and expertise in utilizing the potential of the village. This community service activity has had a positive impact on increasing community awareness and expertise in utilizing the existing potential by cultivating fish in the lake and having the will to develop the village as a tourist destination.

Abstract

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND BRANDING OF FISHERY PRODUCTS OF ECONOMIC VALUE IN PAGELARAN SUBDISTRICT, PRINGSEWU REGENCY. Fish processors in Pagelaran District, Pringsewu, are mostly still running on simple businesses. processing fish from their parents’ tradition, so that they have ability to run a processed fish business. Processors have not been able to produce a variety of processed products, the processing group has not been able to carry out business management properly, their lack on knowledge to understand the dynamics in the group, and still low in the utilization of information technology in online marketing. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct Community Service activities (PKM) to increase the income and welfare of members of the processing group. The main problem of fish processing capacity development is because of low knowledge and skills of the community related to more modern processed technology, business management, and information technology, especially online marketing. The dedication aims to help increase the capacity of fish processing in optimizing processed fish business as a source of income. In the service will be carried out mentoring in fish processing activities with product variations, business management such as bookkeeping, and information technology. The empowerment target that will be carried out is to increase the knowledge and skills of fish processors about the quality of processed products, about business management analysis, the importance of group dynamics for the development of fish processing groups, and related to online marketing information technology is still low members of the Erwina Fish Processing Group and has not certified products.

Abstract

INDONESIA READING MOVEMENT TECHNICAL GUIDANCE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN DELI SERDANG REGENCY. Since 2015, the government of Indonesia has accelerated Indonesia Literacy Movement. However the effectiveness of this program wasnot reflected in the results of students’ PISA test result in 2018. In attempt to the improvement of this program, the volunteers decided to carry out a technical guidance to increase the reading literacy of primary school teachers in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatera. This voluntarily activity aimed to share the knowledge and best practice of fun and interactive reading. 40 primary school teachers from two state schools were involved in this community service program. İn the beginning, they had to complete the pre-test. Then, they were given a workshop about how to perform fun reading and created their own best practice. The result of their work were presented in front of the other groups and at last they completed the post-test. As the result of this activity, there was a significant increase on the teachers’ knowledge about fun reading and Indonesia Reading Movement based on the pre-test and post-test. İn addition, the teachers were able to produce their own fun reading activities based on their interests through Uniterrupted Sustained Silent Reading (USSR) Journal and Reading Pyramid.

Abstract

INTRODUCING EROSION FOR FARMERS IN CIBEUREUM VILLAGE AND NYOMPLONG HAMLET BANDUNG. The upper part of the watershed is generally prone to erosion, because it is generally located in the hilly area. Due to this fact, effort to educate farmers must be taken to enhance the understanding of the farmerson conservation. Farmers from two villages has been selected as the object (Cibeureum Village, Kertasari District, Regency of Pangalengan and Nyomplong, Rajamandalakulon Village, Cipatat District, Regency of Bandung). The final aim of this effort is increasing a positive behavior related to the implementation of conservation. The method used in this activity is community service about the negative impact of erosion on the sustainability of their land. Based on the results of the pretest and postest quistionaire, a significant increment of 34% has resulted regarding the understanding of the farmer on the definition, process and the impact of erosion.
