Abstract

Pregnant women who experience chronic energy deficiency (KEK) tend to give birth to LBW babies and have a greater risk of death. Objective: This study was to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of KEK in pregnant women. Methods: The study was conducted for 2 months, in 2020 at Anggaberi Health Center and Soropia Health Center in Konawe district. Design: cross sectional, quantitative data collection and secondary data. The research sample was pregnant women who were registered in the maternal cohort data, which were taken randomly as many as 115 people. Univariate data analysis was carried out descriptively to see the distribution of the values of the causal factors, bivariate analysis was carried out to analyze the relationship between the causal factors and the incidence of KEK through statistics, namely Chi-square test and cross tabulation with a significance value of 0.05. The results of the study found that the factors associated with the incidence of KEK were age (p-value = 0.000), education level (p-value = 0.000), employment status (p-value = 0.000), and pregnancy weight (p-value = 0.000 ). The incidence of KEK is more likely in mothers who have characteristics such as age < 20 years and > 35 years, low education, not working and low pregnant weight. Therefore, it is hoped that an increase in food security at the family level can be socialized through providing information to preconception women through counseling, flip-charts and posters.

This study aims to determine the test of the effectiveness of gadung tuber as anti fuelin the control efforts of aedes aegypti. It wastrue experiment, pre and posttest designs with 5 treatments and 4 times repetitions. The analysis data used the Shapiro-Wilk Normality Test, Homogenity of Variance Test, and One-way ANOVA Test. Total sample was 100 Aedes Aegypti mosquito. The results of this study indicate that the average mortality of mosquitoes at a concentration of 5 mg was 8 tails, a concentration of 10 mg was 16 tails, a concentration of 15 mg was 18 tails and a positive control (Fuel Hit) was 20 mosquito. Anova test results obtained that p-value = 0,000 (p<0,05). Then it can be concluded that from the three concentrations tested 5 mg, 10 mg, and 15 mg, the concentration can kill the Aedes Aegypti mosquito but at different levels of ability. Abstract

Background: DHF is the most serious vector-borne disease in Bandar Lampung. Dengue virus and its vector Aedes aegypti are sensitive to weather changes, especially rainfall, temperature, and humidity. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between weather factors and dengue cases using 2009-2018. Methods: The data were obtained from reports on the number of monthly cases of the Bandar Lampung City Health Office and daily climate reports from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency, converted into monthly averages. The SPSS 24.0 was used at all levels of analysis (CL = 95%), including Pearson Correlation, Spearman rank Correlation, and Multiple Linear Regression. Results: We found the highest cases of DHF are in January, February, and March. Rainfall has a positive correlation with the number of dengue cases in 2011 (p-value = 0.012) and 2015 (p-value = 0.020). Each year, the rainy period precedes the start of the increase in dengue cases. Temperature has a negative correlation in 2014 (p-value = 0.036). Humidity has a positive correlation in 2014 (p-value = 0.024), and 2015 (p-value = 0.018). Rainfall has the greatest influence on DHF cases in Bandar Lampung City (36.9%). Conclusion: These findings provide empirical evidence regarding the relationship between weather factors and DHF transmission and are expected to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of DHF.

The instruments used in the study were the questioner pre-test and post-test knowledge. The analysis used was the Wilcoxon test, Kruskal-Wallis test, and Man Whitney. The result of the research from the Wilcoxon test showed that there was a difference in the knowledge of the mother before and after being given the video media and booklet treatment (p-value <0 05). The Kruskal-Wallis test showed a difference in knowledge improvement between the video group, booklet, and control (p-value <0.05). Through the Mann-Whitney test, there was no significant difference between the video group and booklet (p-value> 0.05). This research concludes that video media and booklet media are equally effective in increasing a mother's knowledge of the oral and dental health effort of a toddler.
