Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the selection process and orientation programs in improving new employee adaptation and organizational performance. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing articles published in the period 2019–2024 through the Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar databases. The synthesis results identified five main thematic categories, namely selection sources, selection objectives, types of acceptance tests, aspects of orientation programs, and employee adaptation outcomes. The findings show that competency-based selection, supported by the use of digital technology and structured assessments, can improve job fit accuracy and reduce the risk of turnover in the early stages of employment. In addition, comprehensive orientation programs that include organizational introduction, work culture socialization, technical mentoring, and social support have a significant impact on strengthening role clarity, psychological comfort, and early employee productivity. The literature review also revealed a number of challenges, such as selection bias, limited HR competencies, lack of transparency in placement and promotion, and suboptimal digital integration in HR processes. These challenges impact the organization's effectiveness in acquiring and integrating suitable talent. Overall, this study concludes that the integration of accurate selection processes and structured orientation programs is key to optimizing new employee adaptation and improving organizational performance in the digital era. Practical recommendations and directions for further research are also provided

Abstract

Education in Indonesia has undergone changes. The current development and progress of the world of education are in line with the needs of the industrial revolution 4.0 by aligning creative and innovative humans and technology. This study aims to analyze the problems of educator and education personnel management towards improving the quality of education in Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study and document analysis approach. The literature study and document analysis approach are used to collect data from existing sources, without conducting direct observation. The data collection technique used in this study is to collect data or materials from relevant sources such as books, articles, archives, journals and other written materials related to the problem under study using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with a systematic review type. The results of the study indicate that the problems of educator and education personnel management indicate the need to strengthen a more integrated and quality-based national policy. The government, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, needs to strengthen planning for teacher and education personnel needs based on up-to-date national data, by utilizing the education information system to ensure equitable distribution of teachers and education personnel according to the actual needs of educational units, especially in the 3T regions. The importance of leadership in human resource management requires further empirical-based research to strengthen findings and policy recommendations. Further research can be directed at examining the influence of teacher and education personnel management on the quality of learning and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Teacher retention is a key factor in maintaining the stability and quality of education, especially in the integrated Islamic school environment. Challenges in retaining experienced teachers often arise due to welfare dynamics, workload, and career development needs. This study aims to analyze the teacher retention strategy implemented at SMPIT Al Itqon Bogor as an effort to create sustainability in the quality of education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method of data collection techniques through interviews with school principals, vice principals and human resource development coordinators as well as permanent teachers with a minimum service period of five years. The results of the study show that there are five main strategies in retaining teachers, namely sustainable development of professional competencies, providing financial and non-financial welfare, regular spiritual coaching, creating a conducive work environment, and strengthening managerial communication. The retention strategy implemented is holistic by integrating professional aspects, welfare, spirituality, and organizational culture based on Islamic values. The success of teacher retention at SMPIT AL ITQON Bogor is the result of the synergy of various dimensions that strengthen each other, as well as becoming a model of human resource management that is relevant for the development of other integrated Islamic educational institutions. The novelty of this research lies in the teacher retention model based on the integration of professional and spiritual values in the context of integrated Islamic schools, which has not been widely studied in previous research

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) the implementation of educational promotion strategies in increasing the number of students at MAS. Nahdatul Islam Mandau, 2) the supporting and inhibiting factors of educational promotion strategies in increasing the number of students at MAS. Nahdatul Islam Mandau. The type of research used is qualitative with a case study approach. This research was conducted at MAS Nahdatul Islam Mandau. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data compression, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that: 1) the implementation of educational promotion strategies went well in increasing the number of students at MAS Nahdatul Islam Mandau, 2) the supporting and inhibiting factors of educational promotion strategies went well in increasing the number of students at MAS. Nahdatul Islam Mandau. Supporting factors include having a strategic location, affordable madrasah fees, inhibiting factors include imperfect facilities and infrastructure owned by the madrasah, experiencing intense competition, and the existence of an equivalent madrasah aliyah, because rural communities have the mindset that private schools are expensive.

Abstract

This study was conducted to address the research gap related to the lack of studies on the implementation and development of the 3R (Religious, Reasoning, Research) approach-based curriculum at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level. Previous studies have focused more on the Merdeka Curriculum in public schools, so research is needed to describe the practice of contextual curricula in madrasahs, particularly the 3R model, which integrates religious values, literacy, and critical thinking skills. This study aims to explain the process of implementing the 3R curriculum at MTs Surya Buana Malang and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The informants consist of the Deputy Head of Curriculum as the key informant and several teachers as supporting informants. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion verification, with validation through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that the 3R program is integrated into school culture through religious activities, literacy, and research-based projects, thereby improving students' spiritual character, reasoning abilities, and research skills. The main supporting factors include madrasah leadership and teacher collaboration, while obstacles include limited practice facilities and research support tools. Overall, the 3R curriculum has proven effective in improving the quality of learning and is relevant for development in other madrasah

Abstract

Teachers play a strategic role in the educational process as they are responsible for shaping students’ character and abilities; therefore, teacher professionalism is a key indicator of educational success. However, existing studies on teacher professionalism have predominantly focused on normative competencies and educational policies, while investigations that examine teacher professionalism based on Qur’anic values, particularly through a phenomenological approach, remain limited. This study aims to explore and understand teacher professionalism from the perspective of the Qur’an through a phenomenological study conducted at SDIT Al Hikam Banyudono. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, drawing on the Qur’an, textbooks, scientific journals, and other relevant documents. The findings indicate that teacher professionalism from the Qur’anic perspective is reflected in mastery of instructional content, compassionate attitudes toward students, gentleness in understanding students’ psychological conditions, physical well-being, and firmness in enforcing discipline. These findings contribute conceptually to the development of Islamic teacher professionalism studies by emphasizing that professionalism is not merely oriented toward technical competence, but also toward the internalization of Qur’anic values in educational practice.

Abstract

Student affairs management plays a crucial role in improving the quality of students, especially in student organization such as OSIS (Student Council). OSIS requires a high work ethic to achieve a good organizational quality. In this article, the researchers conducted a study on student affairs management related to the improvement of work ethic in OSIS at MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Tebuireng. This research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing data sources from interviews, observations, and documentation. The theoretical framework used in this study is POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling). However, there are several factors that hinder the improvement, such as the students' unstable age, which sometimes makes it difficult to follow established rules. Nevertheless, student affairs management has successfully enhanced the work ethic of OSIS at MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Tebuireng in terms of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning management of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in improving student learning outcomes at Yayasan Trio Batanghari Elementary School. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that learning management by PAI teachers includes thorough planning, the implementation of active learning methods, and continuous evaluation. PAI teachers play an important role in creating a conducive learning environment and motivating students. The main obstacle is the limited learning facilities, but this can be overcome through teacher creativity. Abstract

This research was conducted because there were no number of students in first grade in the 2022/2023 academic year at SDN 11 Magek accompanied by rumors that the school would be merged with another elementary school close to the school and would even be closed. These two issues made researchers interested in conducting research. The location of this research was carried out at SDN 11 Magek. Descriptive qualitative is the method used in this research. Data was obtained from open interviews and observations. Interviews were conducted with 5 parents of students, 1 teacher and 2 people from the community who live around the school. Observations were made on the learning process. Data analysis was carried out by reduction, presentation and conclusions and verification. Data validity by triangulating methods and triangulating sources. The research showed that parents' perceptions regarding the implementation of student management at SDN 11 Magek showed that student planning was not carried out optimally, the organization or division of work in terms of assisting students' talents and interests was not good and the assessment of student learning outcomes in terms of grade promotion was carried out without clear rule and procedures

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of leadership in educational organizations, analyze the types of authority according to Max Weber, and explain their influence on the effectiveness of educational leadership performance. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research methods through the review of various relevant scholarly sources, including Max Weber’s original works as well as journal articles and other academic books. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques, involving the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that educational leadership is a process of directing, influencing, and managing organizational resources to achieve educational goals effectively. In Weber’s theory, there are three forms of authority: traditional, charismatic, and rational-legal, each possessing distinct characteristics in leadership practice. Traditional authority serves to maintain organizational stability but tends to limit renewal and innovation. Charismatic authority can boost the motivation and work ethic of organizational members, yet it is highly dependent on the leader’s persona. Meanwhile, rational-legal authority fosters professionalism and work efficiency, though it may potentially diminish interpersonal relationships within the organization. The novelty of this study lies in the development of a model integrating Weberian authority that combines all three forms of authority within the context of educational leadership.Keyword: Educational Leadership, Max Weber’s Concept Of Authority, Effectiveness, Educational Organizations
