Abstract

This research is collaborative research of library research and field research. Using a qualitative method with a normative legal approach, namely Islamic law (usul fiqh) and naturalistic phenomena. Research exploring the existence of Regional Regulations (Perda) on Zakat Management in Medan City is a necessity, to explore the potential for greater zakat, but the Perda in question has not yet been legislated. The many inhibiting factors, two factors need attention in this study, namely: First, the paradigm of the Muslim community in the city of Medan towards the Syafii fiqh legal methodology is since the majority of Muslims are based on the Syafii fiqh school, thus denying other legal methodologies such as Maqashid al-Syariah which are quite relevant to strengthening the zakat regulation. Second, the paradigm of the Muslim community in the city of Medan has not seen the urgency of Maqashid al-Syariahal-Syatibi as an element of strengthening the regional regulation on zakat in Medan City. The results of the study show that: First, the Muslim community of Medan city does not yet know and fully understand Maqashid al-Syariah al-Syatibi as a legal methodology, because of the strong and strong Syafii school of jurisprudence as a single majority school. Second, Maqashid al-Syariah al-Syatibi is urgent as a solution to strengthening the regional regulation on zakat in the city of Medan with the substance of high benefit aspects, starting from the position of regulation, management to positive benefits for the Muslim community in the city of Medan

Abstract

Nowadays, Islamic studies research should not be limited to the use of the Nash text study paradigm, such as the classical Islamic scientific tradition. The monodisciplinary approach is no longer sufficient to answer the challenges of the times faced by Muslims in various worlds, for example, the problem of the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit since 2019. Islamic studies using an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approach are expected to be the answer to the challenges of the modern and contemporary Islamic world today. This paper uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review related to interdisciplinary research in Islamic Studies by content analysis approach. In conclusion, first, there are some approaches applied to Islamic studies, namely normative theological, anthropological approaches, sociological approaches, philosophical approaches, historical approaches, cultural approaches, psychological approaches, and hermeneutic approaches. Secondly, in applying these interdisciplinary approaches to Islamic studies, problems can be solved using a number of approaches or points of view at once, for example using sociological, historical, and normative approaches simultaneously, or several other approaches. Third, the results of these interdisciplinary Islamic studies can develop, enrich and produce the intellectual treasures of Islamic studies at State Islamic Religious Higher Education in Indonesia (PTKIN)

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the nature of the relationship between religion and science applied by UNIDA Gontor, especially the policy in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. This is done, at least for two reasons. First, UNIDA Gontor is the only higher education institution in the country that continues to carry out normal activities in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Second, UNIDA Gontor is an Islamic educational institution based on Islamic boarding schools. As library research, this paper uses a descriptive method. The results can be concluded that there are at least four patterns in building the relationship between religion and science: conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration. UNIDA Gontor uses an Integration model with the Islamization of knowledge in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. This is because UNIDA Gontor applies ihktiar al-diniyyah and al-ilmiyyah at the same time preventing the spread of Covid-19 infection. The two pledges were integrated within the framework of an Islamic worldview, thus, giving rise to three forms of strategic policies, namely; First, form a Covid-19 task force; second, involve elements of the government and IKPM Gontor; and the third, self-isolation. By consistently implementing these efforts, the entire academic community and students in the UNIDA Gontor environment can avoid and function normally even in the midst of the Covid-19 virus infection

The existence of the yellow book is very important for Islamic boarding schools or dayahs in Aceh. Every religious lesson must use the yellow book as the main reference for teachers in teaching. The yellow book has been used for centuries in the study of dayah. However, the existence of internet media in the current digital era has an effect on learning patterns in the dayah environment. The yellow book as a learning resource in the dayah faces the challenges of the digital era media that is able to answer various people's problems quickly. In the digital era, the public and students can access information related to Islamic teachings via the internet quickly, cheaply and easily. The purpose of this study is to find out and describe the existence of the yellow book in the digital era (study in dayah aceh). This research is a field research with a qualitative descriptive method. The results show that the yellow book still exists in the current digital era and remains a mandatory reference in the dayah curriculum, but the progress of the digital era continues to color the pesantren curriculum treasures with the finding that Guree Dayah uses the Maktabah Syamilah feature as a supporting reference. Furthermore, in responding to advances in information technology, dayah utilizes the internet as a medium of da'wah and socialization of dayah as well as reviewing legal issues encountered by the public on the internet by referring to the yellow book

Abstract

This study aims to compare distance learning innovations carried out by Islamic Religious Education teachers in madrasahs and schools. The innovations compared are based on five aspects of Roger's theory, namely; relative advantage, compatibility, testability, observability, and complexity. The research method used is a comparative study with a quantitative approach. Data was collected using a Likert Scale questionnaire that used four levels of choice. The data obtained from the field were analyzed objectively. The data analysis technique used Mann-Whitney U as a non-parametric test. This analysis technique was chosen because the data were not normally distributed. The results of the hypothesis test show that there is no difference in innovation in terms of relative advantage, compatibility, testability, and observability because of the Asymp.Sig 2 tailed score is greater than 0.05. Asymp.Sig score on relative advantage 0.768. Asymp.Sig scores on compatibility 0.170. Asymp.Sig scores on testability 0.215. Score on observability 0.173. The difference in innovation is only in the aspect of complexity with a score of Asymp.Sig 2 tailed 0.007 0.05. The study found that the innovations carried out by the two groups of Islamic Religious Education teachers were relatively the same, only differing in one aspect, namely complexity

Abstract

Nahdlatul Ulama is the only major political party representing Muslims in national politics during the implementation of guided democracy. NU's accommodative and flexible political practices have made Nahdlatul Ulama able to live and continue to survive in difficult times. This is inseparable from NU's religious political strategy, which is its guideline. The theological basis based on the theory of fiqh and ushul fiqh can be seen in NU's acceptance of the guided democracy concept. This paper aims to reveal NU's theological foundation in accepting the concept of guided democracy. Data was collected through the study of texts and manuscripts and literature studies. The data analysis technique uses hermeneutic theory to capture symbols in the form of texts originating from Islamic law, namely fiqh, and ushul fiqh, as the basis and foundation of NU accepting guided democracy. The results showed that there were several theories of fiqh and ushul fiqh used by NU, including the concepts of maslahah and mudarat, dar’ul mafasid muqoddamun ala jalbil mashalih, amar ma’ruf nahyil mungkar, ma la yudraku kulluh la yutraku kulluh, al-muhafadthu ala qodim al-shahih wa al-akhdzu bi al-jadid al-ashlah, and the concept of syuro presented by KH Idham Chalid.
