Abstract

The application of green banking (GB) practices can be a solution to various environmental problems and help achieve the SDGs. However, the performance of GB implementation in Indonesia’s Islamic Bank is still unclear due to the unavailability of instruments to measure its implementation. Even though information regarding GB implementation in Indonesia’s Islamic bank is urgently needed to achieve the SDGs and sharia goals or maqasid sharia. This study aims to develop index for measuring GB performance in Islamic Bank using maqasid syariah and ESG as framework, namely green banking maqasid index or GBMI. Model development and weighting in this study use the Delphi-ANP (Analytic Network Process) method. The results of this study reveal the order of priority and weight of variables related to GBMI measurement. There are 6 main priorities out of 18 important variables in ESG and their weights, namely green human resource management (HRM) (0.075), health and safety of the workplace (0.072), green product and service (0.070), green strategic planning (0.069), and elimination of wastage (0.065). These results also indicate that green HRM is among the most emphasized variables in the application of GB concept. Thus, educating HRM to understand the GB concept well is quite important in the initial stage of implementing GB practices in Islamic banks.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of return on assets, return on equity, net profit margin, debt-to-equity ratio, and current ratio on stock returns. The population of this study consists of 154 data points from industrial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2018 and 2022. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. After excluding outliers, the sample size is reduced to 52 data points from an initial 60. The analysis method employs multiple linear regression on panel data using Eviews 12 software. The results indicate that return on assets positively affects stock returns, while return on equity and net profit margin negatively affect stock returns. Additionally, the debt-to-equity ratio and current ratio have no significant effect on stock returns.

Abstract

Bali is one of Indonesia's top tourist destinations, attracting millions of visitors annually. However, the increasing number of tourists also leads to higher security risks, such as pickpocketing, fraud, and other criminal activities. To address these challenges, tourism police play a strategic role in maintaining security and providing services to foreign tourists. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of tourism police in Bali and identify the challenges they face. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that tourism police play a crucial role in enhancing tourism security; however, several obstacles persist, including limited human resources, insufficient foreign language training, and ineffective coordination with the tourism industry stakeholders. In conclusion, improving police training, investing in surveillance technology, and fostering stronger collaboration between law enforcement and tourism stakeholders are essential to creating a safer and more comfortable tourism environment.

Abstract

This research examines how Green Innovation, ECSR, and Service Innovation affect Purchase Intention, utilizing Green Corporate Image as a moderator. Quantitative data from 233 procurement experts was obtained. The research analyzed data using SEM-PLS. Service Innovation strongly affects Purchase Intention, but Green Innovation and ECSR do not. However, Green Corporate Image enhances the link between ECSR and Purchase Intention while weakening Service Innovation. These results show that company image is critical to customer choices in sustainability-driven businesses. Objectives: Sustainability has become a key concern for businesses, particularly in industries that rely on environmental resources. This study aims to explore how Green Innovation, Environmental Corporate Social Responsibility (ECSR), and Service Innovation influence Purchase Intention, with Green Corporate Image acting as a moderating factor. The goal is to provide insights into how companies in the integrated water supply sector can leverage sustainability-driven strategies to enhance consumer decision-making.Finding: This study uses quantitative Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares. 233 procurement experts completed a 7-point Likert scale survey. Using SmartPLS 4, the research investigated variable associations for reliability and validity. Conclusion: This study provides valuable insights into how businesses in the integrated water supply sector can integrate sustainability and innovation into their marketing strategies. While Service Innovation plays a crucial role, Green Innovation and ECSR require strong corporate branding to influence consumer behavior. Companies should focus on strengthening their environmental image while maintaining service excellence to maximize customer engagement. Future research should explore other moderating factors and examine industry-specific differences to refine sustainability-driven marketing strategies.
