Al-Izzah receive article from academics, researchers, and students national and international in the field of Muslim community, education, culture, gender, and any social religious issues. The articles published in the journal Al-Izzah covers scientific research result as a priority research, scientific articles review, and responses or critics to the existing the prior researches. Journal Al Izzah published twice a year by Intitute of Research and Community Development (LP2M) IAIN Kendari and always places Islam and Muslim society in the central focus of academic inquiry. Article submitted in the form of original ideas, based on research result (both library as well as fieldwork), and not yet ever published in journal anywhere. The manuscript submitted to Al-Izzah is independently reviewed by at least two reviewers in the form of "double-blind review". Decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. In certain cases, the editor may submit an article for review to another, third reviewer before making a decision, if necessary.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the students’ understanding about niqab, to scrutinize other university members’ response, students’ who wear niqab resistance at  Islamic University in Kendari. This research uses qualitative descriptive method by phenomenon and living Quran approach to know students’ insight of niqob. The data collection uses documentation, interview and observation. Data analysis uses data reduction, validation and taking conclusion using textual and contextual comprehension. The results show that: (1) 80% respondent students of IAIN Kendari who are wearing niqob know the dalil is from Q.S. Al Ahzab : 59 and Q.S. Annur : 31, nevertheless they did not understand the dalil deeply. 2 students consider that it is compulsory, and 8 students consider it as sunnah or optional. (2) university communities’ response to students’ who wear niqob, are first, it is allowed by some requirement; second, it is not permitted if resulting social anxiety, third, the students’ attitude to be more exclusive and introvert; forth, other community feel uncomfortable in communication; and fifth there should be specific regulation for niqob  wearer, (3) There are 4 types of students’ resistance, they are, opened resistance (social media exposing), alternative resistance (wearing masker), closed resistance (optional in wearing niqab, partially covered and uncovered), negotiated resistance (negotiating to rector).

Abstract

Penelitian Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Qawaid Bahasa Arab BerbasisMind Map untuk STAIN Kendari ini telah dilakukan. Pengembanganbahan ajar ini dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap yaitu tahap 1. Analisis, 2.Perancangan, 3. Pengembangan, 4. Evaluasi (Tes), dan 5. Revisi dandihasilkan pengembangan bahan ajar qawaid bahasa Arab berbasis mindmap untuk STAIN Kendari yaitu bahan ajar yang disajikan dalam bentukpola peta dengan berbagai ilustrasi bentuk dan warna yang mempunyaitema besar (utama) yang terhubung dengan tema turunan dan terhubungantara satu dengan yang lainnya yang disertai contoh. Penggunaan bahanajar ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar qawaid bahasa Arab berbasismind map dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan rerata78,59/B+, dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar qawaid. Bagi teman sejawat, agar dapat mengembangkan bahan ajar untuk setiap matakuliahbinaanya dengan menerapkan 5 tahapan pengembangan dengan modelbahan ajar berbasis mind map karena terbukti dapat meningkatkanmotivasi belajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Kegiatan penelitian inibermanfaat dan dirasakan lebih mudah oleh para mahasiswa. Penelitian inimenyarankan pentingnya penelitian yang berproduk buku ajar yang lebihlengkap. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan agar dilanjutkan dengenpenelitian mind map sebagai strategi pembelajaran atau strategi belajarmahasiswa untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan Bahan Ajar, Qawaid, Mind Map, STAINKendari

Abstract

The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election 2017 is an important momentum for improving and evaluating the quality of democracy at the local level. Various issues of religion, ethnicity, as well as differences in political support, colored both in the first and second round. Anies-Sandi's victory in this local election is interesting to study further by using the political representation approach by Olle Törnquist. The results of this study showed that voters have been polarized through strengthening religious and ethnic sentiments so it can be ignored the factor of achievement, capacity, and track record of candidates. Extensive efforts to spread identity politics were carried out through various movements and actors. The quality of political participation among DKI Jakarta residents can also be seen from the extent of voter autonomy and literacy in determining positions. Based on those results, a critical discussion of the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election 2017 will be a reflection of useful learning to observe the political climate, which transform relation to connect or disconnect relations between constituent and their representative.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form and meaning of house in Naga in term of emic and ethic perspectives. This study focuses on the form and space of house arcithecture as well as the symbolic meaning of house for people living in Naga. The data is generated through a series of interview, participant observation and library research. The research shows that the form of Naga’s house is closely related to their belief in which the world is divided into three, i.e: upper world, middle and the lower one. In addition, that form also reflects their views on the place of men and women within the house. Though separation is required by their tradition, they also provide the neutral room in which male and female could meet together. Their houses also provide the sacred room to reflect the existencse of God within their life. To sum up, those beliefs are, to some extent, in line with the Islamic norms practiced by Muslim in their daily life. Basically, symbols in the house contain universal symbol, except for goah which is believed as Dewi Sri’s room. However, the house’s design, form, and arrangement are quite similar to Islamic architecture with some restrictions states as Islamic portrait within local wisdom framework

Abstract

AbstractThe study of Posuo Ceremony in the Buton community is a decriptiveresearch.  Its aims is to know the urgency and significance of posuo inbuilding the good characters of women teenager. By using Miles andHuberman’s perspective, the data were obtained through indepth interview,observation and review of the literature. Based on this study, it indicatesthat: adat ceremony for Butonese is essential and significance in buildingcharacters based on the value of ethics and religious to women teenager.The advantages of the ceremony is it can cultivate the relationship amongthe Butenese community as well as strengthen the principles of solidarity.However, the ceremony now practice rarely by the community. The mainproblem is the economic factor. In addition to the other factor is theminimum effort from Butonese community to socialize this traditionalceremony. Key Words: local ceremony, women teenager, character building, Buton.AbstrakStudi ini adalah studi deskriptif tentang upacara posuo dalam masyarakatButon. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penting dansignifikannya upacara ini dalam membentuk perilaku yang baik bagi anakanak perempuan. Dengan menggunakan perspektif Milles dan haberman, data dikumpulkan wawancara mendalam, observasi dan review literature.Dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa upacara adat bagi masyarakatButon sangatlah penting dan signifikan dalam membentuk karakter anakperempuan yang didasarkan pada nilai-nilai etnik dan agama. Kelebihan dari penyelenggaraan posuo adalah dapat meningkatkan hubungan dinatara sesame masyarakat Buton dan juga mempererat persaudaraan/solidaritas.Namun kini, upacara ini sudah sangat jarang dilakukan oleh masyarakat.Penyebab utamanya adalah factor ekonomi. Selain itu kurangnya sosialisasi internal dalam masyarakat Buton menjadi salah  pendukung melemahnya minat masyarakat untuk menyelenggarakan upacara posuo. Kata Kunci: upacara adat, Anak perempuan, pembentukan karakter,Buton.

Abstract

AbstrakGagasan Pengujian Konstitusionalitas atau Konstitusional Review danpelaksanaannya menjadi tema kajian dalam tulisan ini. PraktekKonstitusional Review saat ini telah dianut secara luas oleh negara-negaradi dunia dengan corak dan model yang berbeda. Meskipun demikiansecara substansial diakui gagasan ini merupakan ide yang sangat brilianyang dibutuhkan saat ini terutama negara-negara demokrasi baru. Secaraumum perbedaan praktek Pengujian Konstitusionalitas tersebutmengandung tiga aspek utama yakni Kelembagaan, Prosedur dan sifatPutusannya. Dalam konteks kelembagaan ada tiga model utama yaknipertama, model Institusionalisasi khusus dengan membentuk lembagatersendiri seperti Mahkamah Konstitusi di Indonesia dan Austria. Kedua,Model perluasan kewenangan lembaga yang ada dalam hal ini MahkamahAgung seperti praktek pengujian konstitusionalitas di Amerika Serikat.Ketiga, Model ekstra Judicial dengan membentuk badan baru secarakhusus tetapi berkarakter politik dan bukan merupakan badan peradilan,praktek seperti ini ditemukan di Perancis dengan Conseil Constitutionell.Eksistensi lembaga Pengujian Konstitusionalitas berimplikasi pada aspekprocedural dan bentuk pengujianya. Bagi lembaga pengujian yangberbasis pada asas yudisial mekanisme ini bersifat a posteriori review danJuga a priori review sedangkan lembaga pengujian yang berbasis politikmekanismenya lebih bersifat a priori review oleh karenanya disebutconstitusional preview. Model-model pengujian konstitusionalitas tersebutmenjadi representasi model yang saat ini sedang mengemuka, meskipunsetiap Negara yang mengadopsi gagasan ini memiliki ciri khas tersendiri.Jika dilihat dalam konteks fungsionalisasi pada prinsipnya lembagapengujian yang dibentuk secara tersendiri (Mahkamah Konstitusi) lebihkuat dan memiliki peran yang besar sebagai pengawal dan pelindungKonstitusi.Kata Kunci: Konstitusional Review, Mahkamah Konstitusi, MahkamahAgung

Abstract

Abbasid dynasty is one dynasty that has a high civilization in the field of knowledge, of course this is inseparable from the efforts made by the caliph Harun Ar-Rasyid and Al-Ma'mun to translate the works that civilizations want to watch in the field of science, with the help of translators who have capabilities in foreign mastery languages. About the purpose of this article is to map the names of figures who had a major contribution to the development of science during the Abbasid Dynasty. By using the theory made as a knife of analysis in this study, the reasons for policies are decisions taken by people who have a budget to set a matter in accordance with the desired goals. While for this researcher will use the method of library analysis from various sources related to the history of Islamic civilization, both from books, research journals and related literature, to then be mixed and analyzed, conclusions are also obtained. Thus the results of this study indicate that the movement of translators of knowledge books does have an interesting interest for translators who come from outside the city of Baghdad also outside of Islam, to come translating special books, in order with the rewards and awards given by the caliph out of proportion to their hard work.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to find out the implementation of learning of translating Quran using Tamyiz method, the learning process clearly from beginning to the end and evaluation system used to the students.This research conducted at Islamic boarding schools Bayt Tamyiz Indramayu in West Java. Type of research is field research using qualitative methods. The method of sampling conducted using purposive sampling with informants from the head of boarding school and the teachers, then observation from the participants. Testing of data validation conducted through observation of improvement diligence, triangulation, analysis of implementation and member check. Type of technic of data analysis is domain analysis, taxonomy, component analysis, and analysis of cultural theme.The result of research at Islamic Boarding School Bayt Tamyiz Indramayu shows that the effectiveness of Tamyiz method in considering the capacity material which is perceived much in learning translating Quran using Tamyiz method, it is effective for beginner and intermediate learners because by the duration of learning 24 hours can enable learners in translating Quran.Keywords: Tamyiz Method, Translating Qur’an, Islamic Boarding School AbstrakPenelitian yang kami tulis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang implementasi pembelajaran terjemah Al-Qur’an dengan menggunakan Metode Tamyiz, dan juga mengetahui secara jelas proses pembelajaran dari awal hingga akhir dan sistem evaluasi yang digunakan terhadap siswa.Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Bayt Tamyiz Indramayu Jawa Barat. Adapun jenis penelitian yang dipakai yaitu penelitian lapangan (Field research) dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Tehnik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode Purposive sampling yaitu informan dari pimpinan pondok dan guru yang bersangkutan di pondok tersebut, selanjutnya observasi partisipan. Uji keabasahan data peningkatan ketekunan pengamatan, trianggulasi, analisis implementasi dan member cek. Adapun tehnik analisis data selama di lapangan yaitu analisis domain, taksonomi, analisis komponensial, dan analisis tema kultural.Hasil penelitian di Pondok Pesantren Bayt Tamyiz Indramayu menunjukan bahwa efektifitas metode Tamyiz dengan ukuran materi yang cukup banyak mempelajari terjemah Quran dengan meggunakan metode Tamyiz baik untuk pemula maupun yang pernah belajar sangat efektif karena dengan waktu 24 jam siswa dapat terjemah Quran.Kata Kunci : Tamyiz, Metode Terjemah Al-Quran, Pondok Pesantren

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengunkap gambaran motivasi prestasi, kebiasaan belajardan kreativitas belajar mahasiswa STAIN Kendari. dan pengaruh motivasiberprestasi dan kebiasaan belajar terhadap kreativitas mahasiswa STAIN Kendari.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan denganmenggunakan instrument angket dan dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif danimperensial yang diolah melalui program SPSS versi 17. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah mahasiswa STAIN Kendari tahun akademik 2012/2013berjumlah 1.688 orang. Karena besarnya populasi dan dengan pertimbanganpopulasi homogen, maka ditarik sampel penelitian yang dianggap mewakilipopulasi yaitu 117 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh: motivasiberprestasi mahasiswa STAIN Kendari berada pada kategori sedang, kebiasaanbelajar mahasiswa STAIN Kendari dikategorikan cukup dan kreatifitas belajarmahasiswa STAIN Kendari brada pada kategori sedang . Selanjutnya berdasarkanhasil analisis imperensial diperoleh: terdapat pengaruh motivasi berpresatasiterhadap kreativitas belajar mahasiswa STAIN Kendari dengan persamaan regresiỲ= 50,386 + 2,076X dengan F hitung = 11,719; terdapat pengaruh kebiasaanbelajar terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa STAIN Kendari dengan persamaanregresi Ỳ = 56,986 + 3,083X dan F hitung = 10,229; dan terdapat pengaruhmotivasi berprestasi dan kebiasaan belajar terhadap kreativitas belajar mahasiswaSTAIN Kendari dengan persamaan regresi Ỳ = 45,059 + 2,085X1 + 1,992X2dengan F hitung = 8,798.Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Motivasi Beprestasi, Kebiasaan Belajar,Kreativitas Mahasiswa, STAIN Kendari

Abstract

AbstractThe aimed of this research is to examine teachers’ perception of physical activity that can indicate the level of physical activities displayed in children’s classroom. Semi-formal interviews were conducted with six early childhood teachers. Results of the study indicated that early childhood teachers used physical activity to promote the learning materials. The teachers stated that through their physical activities, children might develop a better comprehension of academic concepts. The teachers also reported that children’s positive attitudes improved when physical activity was undertaken, particularly evidenced by an increase in children’s confidence and enthusiasm during the learning process. However, inadequate opportunity to include physical activity in preschool due to limited equipment, deterred teachers from truly facilitating the physical activities of children. The teachers were also concerned that their ability and understanding to accommodate physical activity may not be adequate for the children. Therefore, underpinning the teacher’s role with training may be required in order to cover the children’s needs to actively engage in physical activities as mentioned in curriculum.
