Abstract

The article overviewed the Qur’anic textual authority in practices and the concept of living in Qur’anic behaviours for Monotheism and Sufism, a council of study in Aceh province. As it is known for a board of study existence, Majelis Pengkajian Tauhid Tasawuf Indonesia (MPTTI) is growing more controversial regarding religious harmony in Islamic group society and its particular Sufism teaching. Nevertheless, despite these controversial phenomena, the council retains its teaching principles. The board exclusively refers to its teaching on Qur’an scriptures and verses as countermeasures of marginality and oppression. The committee believed in the authority of Sufism teaching, which was baselined on the Qur’an. The article projected how the council employs the scripture to formulate Sufism with a phenomenology approach to the engagement of living hadith in practice. Later, the board exploits the scripture as the source to establish critique for disavowing acceptance behaviours in society. The council intends to restore the communal into the proper stream of Islamic tradition. Parallel to these intriguing findings, the commission proclaims the Al Qur’an as an appropriate establishment of primary character reference. Eventually, the fascinating texts employed by the council also drive to strengthen the validity of council identity on national and even international coverage, which overlaps other boards in the region.

Abstract

The Hudaibiyah agreement initiated by the Prophet Muhammad SAW initially marked tolerance in Islam. Tolerance in Islam is authentic, meaning it is not foreign and has even emerged since Islam existed. Because of its unique nature, tolerance in Islam is only a matter of implementation and commitment to practice it consistently. Nor is it for exchanging beliefs among the different religious groups. Tolerance here is in the sense of muammalah (social interaction). So there are common boundaries that may and may not be violated. This is the essence of tolerance, where each party must control themselves and provide space for mutual respect's uniqueness without feeling threatened by their beliefs or rights. Sharia has guaranteed that there is no compulsion in religion. Because forcing other people to follow our religion is a historical attitude which has no basis or example in the early history of Islam. It is precise with this fantastic tolerant attitude that the history of Islamic civilization has produced such brilliance that it is recorded in gold ink by the history of world civilization to this day and God willing in the future.

Abstract

The encouragement of worship described by the Qur'an in various verses has another dimension related to the health belief model construction. This study aims to identify the formation of beliefs in actions that lead a person to healthy behaviours depicted in various verses by nahyu (prohibition) and amr (command). This study uses qualitative methods with a thematic analysis model to achieve this goal. A search of the various verses shows a pattern of the Qur'an's awareness of changes in actions correlated with statements about the potential risks that threaten humans that may prevent them from worshipping. Fear of the threat of danger as a driving mechanism for change in action is strengthened by motivating the benefits obtained in acting. The two aspects of consciousness, risk, and profit are driven by self-confidence that arises from awareness of servitude. The embodiment of the health beliefs model in the Qur'an represents the divine dimension that manifests in fulfilling the obligation to produce healthy behaviours.
